I can't believe this guy said "downstairs" twice. You never use that term on a boat. The word is "below". This guy needs to review Nautical Terms 101. Sheesh!
*Jeff Puha* If 6:56 is one of those references you are referring to then there's nothing "un-Nautical" about that. "Run up and down stairs" is perfectly fine. He could have said, "Run downstairs to get below or upstairs to get above".....but that'd be pointless.
