    The way that you explain the basics of electronics and the circuit itself is awesome, you make things pretty easy to understand.

    Very useful! Thanks to your previous video about boost conv. i had won a county physics competition, i won a 32GB U3 sd card, a Parker Vector pen and some goodies. I used a relay as a inductor, 4 aa bats as V source, a tact switch, a 1n4148 diode, a 470uF 27V cap and two 1M ohm resistors, because i had found that higher loads give out higher voltages, most likely because the cap discharges more slowely.
    Thanks for making those videos!

    there are many tutorials about boost converter, but ..... You are the best in explaining it - loved your videos !!!!!

    Awesome.
    I wonder how long the relay would last flipping that quickly though.

    the electrical pencil or lighter high voltage relais prinzip , for 40 years it was a chrismas or birthday gift :) :) :) ,,, if this relais drive a mosfet with toroit coil , it works as a powerful up voltage charger , with a shunt or temperatue sensor and schmitt trigger , it finished loading automaticly

    I made one that uses a 555 timer and a mosfet and a inductor out of a computer power supply, I can get just over 400 volts from a 9v battery! i might make a video of it.

    You should have tested it with a load at the ouput.
    But still it is a good demonstration of the circuit operation.

    Absolutely awesome!! however, Joule Varas connection is simpler, and no additional power source is needed. runs on batteries alone.

    Saudações LS Ludic Science. Muito bom. E simples. Mas, por que a alta tensão não danifica as pilhas??? Tudo de bom.

    Actually I worked to this circuit last year because I tried using relay oscillator as a switch for boost converter

    That’s cool, relay oscillators are really cool, but highly innefiecent. Could you do another video on the circuit using mosfets?
    Also could you make a video using crystal oscillators?

      If you look through the videos on this channel, there is already an oscillating circut with a mosfet.

    Very interesting for using a relay as an oscillator. By the way what might be the frequency of this oscillator?

    Professor - Is it possible to use this circut for a flyback driver?

    • @ludicscience
      @ludicscience  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No

    • @DonaldWatkinsIII
      @DonaldWatkinsIII 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Professor, forgive the question please. I understand that there is inherent instability in such a circut. The theory behind the voltage ramp is very interesting.

  • @incxxxx

    What power it could gain? How long can such relay work?

    • @ludicscience
      @ludicscience  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no power gain

    • @incxxxx
      @incxxxx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ludic Science gain means obtain. What power you can obtain in the output?

    • @karsanuma
      @karsanuma 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tech's Science There is a diode used just before the capacitor , so the output is actually DC because the diode acts as a half wave rectifier.

    • @ethds56
      @ethds56 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      karsanuma just not pure DC without a lot of filtering to get rid of the ripple.
