  • This video will teach you how to make a balloon arch or a balloon garland without a strip, whether you're using a balloon garland kit or professional grade supplies.
    All you need is whatever your kit came with! Or the balloons you want to use, and something to connect them with (fishing line, ribbon, or 260 balloons).
    I’ll share this super versatile and customizable technique with you that will let you make a gorgeous, professional-looking balloon garland or arch out of what you’ve got.

      Hi Allana! I did that with the ribbon in the beginning, but I find that fishing line can get tangled pretty easy and I prefer to work with it in small chunks at a time (usually 10-15 feet, max). The neck tying technique is one of my faves, it's what I use in many videos, including in the fastest garland ever video. : ) Glad the video was helpful, and as far as your fear of balloons popping, I definitely get it, that's no fun! I will say in all the 50+ videos I've done this year, I have had maybe 2 balloons pop on me? It's super rare. 1) Using high quality balloons helps, and 2) under-inflating also helps, at least until you get the hang of how far you can go with them and get in a good rhythm. Pretty much all the ones I've popped over the years are from over-inflating (or a defective balloon, but that's less often). You've got this!
      XOXO,
      Rach

  • @RuffinCrew
    @RuffinCrew 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Rachel, I hope you have a moment to answer. Your videos have inspired me to explore a balloon business. I'm doing my first client garland and I'm double stuffing a tuftex orange balloon with a cheap black one to get burnt orange. It's beautiful except the balloon gets marks on it easily from handling it. It only seems to happen when I stuff a dark balloon inside the orange Tuftex balloon. How do I prevent this? I think it's my fingernails? I've never seen you use gloves before. Will that work? The whole garland will be ruined by the time I get it installed. Any advice?

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exciting that you’re going down this road and congratulations! I have never experienced what you’re talking about 😩 I did used to wear gloves a lot, some rubber Carhartt ones, that may help. If you can give me more details I’ll try to recreate it myself to see what’s happening. Are your nails super long? 🥺

    • @RuffinCrew
      @RuffinCrew 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BubblyBalloonCo no. My nails are short. If I rub or scratch the stuffed balloon, which happens from handling it, you can see marks on the orange balloon like the black is bleeding thru. It's strange. My test balloon looks like tiger stripes are on it. Never happened to to me before.

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds devastating! I just tried to recreate it, the only orange I have in stock from Tuftex is burnt orange, I stuffed it with Qualatex onyx black and had no issues, nothing at all like what you're describing. I rubbed it, scratched at it, and there was no change in the balloon.
      I've never seen what you're describing before and am really stumped, I'm so sorry! Do you have other balloons to hand? I would try stuffing the orange with something else, then stuffing the black into something else and seeing if it happens with either of those combos and try to isolate which balloon is the problem. You might also reach out to the supplier you got them from to see if they can help or replace them as needed. If you're in a super rush, Party City's balloons have worked for me in a pinch! Wishing you the very best, that sounds stressful.
      XOXO,
      Rach

    Can You Inflate Balloons Night Prior Or Will They Disinflate?

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jessie! In most cases you're going to be totally fine, but it depends on the balloons you're using. I always recommend inflating a few balloons from the batch you'll be using as a test as soon as possible so you can be certain they will still look great after a day or two!
      XOXO,
      Rach

    How long does a garland last with just regular air and not helium? When should it be made before party?

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Bella! I only use air, never helium, and depending on the quality of balloons you're using, the environment, etc. it can often last several days or much longer. I always recommend to test by inflating a few balloons as soon as they arrive to see how long yours will look good and have certainty on it for yourself! Usually the day before is safe, but always test! : )

    I’m making a garland for my sons first birthday and my biggest anxiety is about where to use the 18in balloons 😂 how to I know when/where to put them so it doesn’t look wonky?

    Is ribbon better or fishing string

      Up to preference, but I definitely prefer fishing line!

    thank you, how do you connect with a 160

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! With the exact same method! A 160 is just a skinnier 260, so it works the exact same. : )

    How do you replace a balloon when it has popped?

    • @BubblyBalloonCo
      @BubblyBalloonCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good q! I like to cut out the remaining latex so it isn't seen, but make sure that doesn't mess up your garland (if that's the balloon the fishing line is tied to). Then you can use glue dots to stick another one in its place, or use fishing line or ribbon to wrap another pair in. : )
      XOXO,
      Rach
