I heard Austin play at the barbican as part of the cinematic orchestra not so long ago. His composition Lapis was the stand out track. Immensely beautiful. I feel so lucky that I got to listen to him live (live) before he died. RIP.

Can anybody explain why some of his keys are getting stuck in the beginning of the video?
+Zero Calibur that's because he is using a sustain pedal for those keys. What they do is well, the name itself implies. The sound of those keys sustain for as long as the pedal is held down.

The tolex covering (the white vinyl covering) on the piano at the keys end is not glued down enough and so brushes the keys. I had it on my purple 73 years back... needs to be clamped more firmly...

Drugs play a big role in helping artists like AP compose their music.
AUSHTEEN that's true to a certain degree but it's not long before they become detrimental to your health and your music. pretty sure the shit Austin was taking wasn't really doing his music a world of good. the kid was just raw talent from the get go.
