There are videos of all Dimash’s I Am Singer 2017 performances with subtitles. G. Wu’s YT channel has most of them with subtitles and very important back stories. Dimash was only 22 but came in runner up in one of China’s biggest music show.. This show introduced Dimash to the world.

It is more reminiscent of the Caccini (Vavilov) version. Dimash is Muslim and Igor is Jewish so this new version is without words, meant to reach people of all faiths.

I just discovered your channel and I liked and subscribed hoping for more Dimash reactions😊 Dimash is a 30-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway, but it does happen sometimes😅but don't expect this range in all of his songs). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 15 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. At his concerts he tells the audience that he has given concerts in many countries and repeatedly emphasizes that he loves everyone in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His recent concerts were in Prague and Düsseldorf (end of November 2024). It was so amazing and it lasts more than 3 hours. I still haven't really arrived in the here and now😅. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, that you've seen the best and that it's impossible for it to get any better, you realize you're so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He is constantly his biggest competitior to get better and better. He is a real perfectionist. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is and likes to try new things. You can't compare him to any other singer on this planet. He has so many different music genres and styles. He loves Freddie Mercury, but also Michael Jackson, Lara Fabian, Luciano Pavarotti and Eminem and you can also hear that one or the other has an influence on some of his songs. And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. This video that you just reacted to was almost exactly 8 years ago, in 2017, when Dimash (just 22 then) participated in the Chinese reality show called The Singer, where he was invited as a wild card competitor. This was the first episode. After this episode aired, Dimash became an overnight sensation in China. Their internet shut down due to overwhelming fan responses, and he had to have bodyguards from that point on. Yes, many said that he is an alien. He is from Kazakhstan, classically trained since age 5. He is 30 now. Extremely gifted musically, with absolute pitch. Both his parents are singers. Dad is a pop singer with smooth crooner like voice. Mom is an opera soprano, so yes, it's in his DNA. His voice is so pure, warm and crystal clear. Like angel singing. He sings with his heart and soul, full of emotions that he expresses so much through his performance. He can't be put in a box, or categorized in one genre or another, because he can sing anything and EVERYTHING. He is a kind and humble, respectful human being who loves EVERYONE. There are videos of all Dimash’s I Am Singer 2017 performances with subtitles. G. Wu’s YT channel has most of them with subtitles and very important back stories. Dimash was only 22 but came in runner up in one of China’s biggest music show.. This show introduced Dimash to the world.

@@TheReactualTruth It’s not the Schubert version that you might expect, but a new composition by a famous Ukrainian-Russian composer Igor Krutoy with whom Dimash collaborates a lot. It is more reminiscent of the Caccini (Vavilov) version. Dimash is Muslim and Igor is Jewish so this new version is without words, meant to reach people of all faiths.

Dimash is a 30-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world.
He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway, but it does happen sometimes😅but don't expect this range in all of his songs). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 15 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert!
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. At his concerts he tells the audience that he has given concerts in many countries and repeatedly emphasizes that he loves everyone in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His recent concerts were in Prague and Düsseldorf (end of November 2024). It was so amazing and it lasts more than 3 hours. I still haven't really arrived in the here and now😅. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, that you've seen the best and that it's impossible for it to get any better, you realize you're so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He is constantly his biggest competitior to get better and better. He is a real perfectionist. He's a singer you can't put in any box.
He sings almost every genre there is and likes to try new things. You can't compare him to any other singer on this planet. He has so many different music genres and styles. He loves Freddie Mercury, but also Michael Jackson, Lara Fabian, Luciano Pavarotti and Eminem and you can also hear that one or the other has an influence on some of his songs.
Every time you watch a new video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing and always a little different. Not only can he sing perfectly and his performances are outstanding he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? SOS is a song in the French rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas.
The song is very famous and popular in China. And it's no opera song. That’s just the name of the song. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once.

Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 21 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional. The other competitiors might not have taken Dimash seriously at first because of his age and that they didn’t know him but that quickly changed after the performance of SOS, as you can see. Through his honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today.
By the way the audience is also the jury and the people backstage are the other competitors.
During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰.
I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. I think what's happening today in the world worries him a lot.

This video that you just reacted to was almost exactly 8 years ago, in 2017, when Dimash (just 22 then) participated in the Chinese reality show called The Singer, where he was invited as a wild card competitor. This was the first episode. After this episode aired, Dimash became an overnight sensation in China. Their internet shut down due to overwhelming fan responses, and he had to have bodyguards from that point on.
Yes, many said that he is an alien.
He is from Kazakhstan, classically trained since age 5. He is 30 now. Extremely gifted musically, with absolute pitch. Both his parents are singers. Dad is a pop singer with smooth crooner like voice. Mom is an opera soprano, so yes, it's in his DNA. His voice is so pure, warm and crystal clear. Like angel singing. He sings with his heart and soul, full of emotions that he expresses so much through his performance. He makes you FEEL the music, hence you just couldn't help but cry with emotion when listening to him. I get goosebumps every time I listen to him sing.
He works hard and trained his voice every day. He probably already got his PhD in musicology by now, so he is Dr. Dimash PhD.
He has 7 octave range that he doesn't like to emphasize, including hitting the off the piano D8 whistle note.
If you close your eyes, you think you're listening to multiple people singing, but it's all HIM.
He can't be put in a box, or categorized in one genre or another, because he can sing anything and EVERYTHING.
He is a kind and humble, respectful human being who loves EVERYONE.

If you had subtitles on while listening to this song, you would realize that the feeling you expressed was the feeling that the composer of this song was going for. The composer was a French Canadian who created a rock opera in the 1970s called Starmania. This song was in that rock opera. By the way, I cry at some point every time I listen to this song and many others. If you choose, Dimash’s music will take you on an incredible journey. His ability to transmit emotions to the listener is unmatched.
