I knew the Ibuki was going to be on here! And I do remember getting my bell rung hard at the start, but once I figured it out I really dig the ship. It’s one of my go-tos if I’m on a starting fire mission, flooding missions too. Basically, once you open fire with your guns you should be turning away and getting out of dodge-which is where its speed comes in handy. I don’t go out of my way to try and bait people into kiting, but if you want to try and chase me, enjoy your platter of torpedoes and a side order of beat down. Plus in contrast to C turret on the Takao, since all your forward turrets are facing the same direction you don’t have that weird “turret pointing the wrong way” nonsense to deal with.
HAWKINS NEEDS TO BE REMOVED also I kind of like normandie but it needs a little buff I’m also surprised Dallas is not in this list And I know how to buff Goliath and drake
Your list is pretty accurate. I’ve done very little grinding on most Russian boats because they don’t stack up compared to others of the same tier. The British BB and newer cruiser lines are also not worth the grind. Well done.
Great video. Near the end of the video I was curious why you hadn’t mentioned any of the British heavy cruisers because they are so bad. Then BOOM. I was so excited when they came out and was equally disappointed. I enjoyed the grind up to the Minotaur so much better.
Wholeheartedly agree on Roon and Tashkent. Free-XPd the former and rage-quitted the entire line at the latter. I also see why people hate the Izumo, but at least the ship got that uniquely tight shell grouping, so imo Izumo deserves no more than a honorable mention. I play BBs very little, but I honestly found it no worse than other T9 BBs (who probably suffer more at T9 than cruisers or DDs) Can we perhaps get some footage of a really good Goliath game?

Of course just my opinion. My only complaint with Oland was the lack of AA. Skane is the one to skip in that line. Lightning is fairly solid and disagree with the skip. Besides that, can’t disagree with the skips
Im not for skipping ships ,if i want to know better thise game in need to use all the ships to know the bad and good things that they have .If u know what i mean.
I found Soviet Union to be really good at tier 9. yes a little bit slower and less maneuverable than Vladivostok but it's got much better AA I found it to be a lot tankier and the secondaries have good range too. the biggest problem I had with it is the short gun range what the Russian battleships really need to be played at 10 km or closer anyway since the guns can't hit anything past 10 km
KGV, Drake and Algerie are three of my favorite ships in the game. I admit I had to work to love the Algerie, I still prefer the Zara but Algerie is right there but King George and Drake are right at the top of the list for me. Haven’t unlocked any tier 10’s yet except Napoli which I got from the crate on first draw lol.
I was struggling on algiere before fully upgrading it but after upgrading , if i remember crctly crossing the 100k , I loved playing it so much that I Grinded to the Henri line and the narsielle line in a grind line of Algiere battles , I have both French t9s now

Also for Drake and Goliath. Yes, they still need rework. Range doesn't help a ton. It still needs love and especially if we want these ships to be buffed. We need a team of players who can get these ships and even try their god damn best, still lose. Helps the statistics that will gather to WG and they can make a buff on these, once and for all.
I enjoyed this video. Izumo was for me the worst for me. I went through this line early and did not have as much ability to bypass with XP. You still see a lot of these (people grinding Yamato).

The list is in order of worst ships first T5: who cares right, but these ships are so bad I have to - Hawkins, Furutaka, Emerald, Kotovsky - honorable mention to the venerable Krispy Kreme T6: I agree with your picks (Aoba is horrible) and add these - Hatsuharu (not sure what this is good at honestly), Devonshire, Guepard T7: somewhat agree but my list is a little different and adding premiums - Algerie (awful in the meta), Vaquelin (other than decent speed not good at anything), Ise (I know people like it but sorry I think it sucks and love seeing one on the other team), Lyon (this is worse than KGV IMO as KGV can HE spam), Haida (this is just not useful) Francesco (agreed not good but better than previous ships) T8: Mostly agree with you but adding premiums and have to disagree on the Lightning which I think is actually good - Trashkent, Oland, Fenyang, LeTerrible, Talinn, Tiger (gimmicky and fun but not a good ship) T9: Completely Agree with your choices but adding a premium - Ibuki, Roon, Riga, Drake (seen people make it work but no thanks), Izumo, Sovetsky, Azuma (I know some folks like it but I think its a terrible waste of money) T10: Completely agree with your choices but adding a premium - Zao (hard to play, some people can make it work but not for me), Goliath (where's the love for @Kraenesk? Imo until you get to the Edinburgh the whole British CA line sucks. Other cruisers just wreck you, the guns are just awful. It's just super hard to play. From T8 onwards it get really fun. Izumo ain't bad, it prepares you for the Yamato. The worst ship ever for me was Ibuki. Just got wrecked every game. Takao was really fun. Ibuki was just a worse Takao. Rage quit that line lol. Is Zao worth it?
There are a lot of ships that I haven't played. But for those I had played, I can agree with Algeria, it's a massive disappointment after the T6 predecessor, and I haven't got to T8 to this day. I also skipped the Izumo with FXP, and I think it worth it as the Yamato is decent at T10. King George V is also a slightly disappointing. However, once I figured out to use AP against most targets, it's kind of playable. I was surprised Normadie is in the tier, as I found more trouble with Lyon than this, perhaps due to the lower average player skills in low tiers. I actually did pretty well with Normadie. I was also surprised by T7 Italian BB in the list. I think it's a perfectly playable ship, slightly above average. There are a few ships that I am currently grinding and was disappointed by but are not on the list. Maybe I played them in a wrong way. I have so much trouble with Geveny. The guns are OK, but torpedo is horrible, and maneuverability is not as good as other DDs. I also found Zara a bit disappointing. Trento at T6 is so powerful, and Zara is pretty much the same except at T7, not sure if other ships down the line are good or not.
Yes, I loved her too after painfully going trough the La Galissiwhatever. U citadelled so many ships with her, I think I even got my first citadel crisis with her. I have 50K Damage, a 4,4 K/D and a 82% win rate on 46 matches. One of my favorite ships
I’m probably one of the few people who genuinely likes most of the British heavy cruisers (I bought Cheshire in the Shipyard ages ago and once I got used to its play-style and fully upgraded its commander, I had a lot of fun with it and the lower-tier heavy cruisers). I do get why Drake’s on the list, though - I think if Drake had the same consumables as Cheshire (i.e. another charge of smokescreen) and if its “seek and destroy” and “burning seas” battle honours were reordered (sinking cruisers specifically is taking forever…), it would have more potential! Albemarle is pronounced al-buh-maal, btw 😁
Drake was the worst part of the line literally the worst ship I've ever played. I like Golsliath, I do decent in it, but I'm not dumb enough to think it's a great ship.

I'm not sure if this has been said yet but where is the FDG? No honorable mention at least? That ship is not fun with the current meta. If you have the free XP to skip to GK it would be worth the skip. GK can work pretty well while FDG can be pain.
Interesting. Hint and then question. I use to spend my "Ship XP" & "Ship XP / Free XP" boosters willy nilly. Now I save them exclusively for the long grinds. Question: I'm trying to "Battle Honor" the copper, steel, and titanium out of all my ships. Titanium is scare where is the brest place to get titanium?

I think the Lightning is good too. I am biased though - I dislike Japanese Cruisers and French Destroyers in general.... I don't think Petro is bad compared to some of the other bad ships but I can see why its not popular when Moskva is available
All the British BB suck ,i got monarch with free exp when the line was released and so disappointed,with Algerie i agree with u and Lyon is disaster ,played almos all line but hard is Saint Loise ,to keep all HM and u get Henry yeahhh
well i play the drake a lot, and it lacks consistency a lot, even if u try to angle or bow in to battleships you will get deleted if the shells hit... the ship is so big that it gets blind fired easily even in the smoke screen. you get matched with tier 10s very oftern with yamatos or vermonts with 16+ km range that can easily snipe you, while you got a terrible 11km range, meaning you cant even return fire to higher tier ships in big maps usually. I have a level 12 beatty on the drake, buffing the smoke screen and more hp regained. if you rush in this ship u will be deleted in a few minutes, even if you dont its difficult to survive against smolensk and he spammers even if you avoid all the battleships. the ap is unsatisfactory. the gun reload is unbelievably long. for now, it's a short ranged, has sluggish guns(13 secs!) gets shredded by everything (even dd guns), low damage output except if you get lucky with the fires. . either buff the range or shorten the reload would make it more viable. Even for me, a level 12 legendary commander isn't sufficient to make this ship usable
People don’t like Drake because it’s a downgraded Albemarle at T9. Compared to Albemarle… - Her gun DPM is lower - Her practical firestarting is worse - Her agility is worse - Her concealment is worse - And of course, she faces T10 Suffering/10, this thing is awful.

Oi Slai don't put my waifu Ibuki in the list. (I am now officially pissed off, don't make me return to blitz so soon) I actually prefer the arcs of the Ibuki rather than that of the Takao, normally you will be kiting in these ships anyway, so having good rear torp arcs to matters a lot. That is also why I prefer Ibuki over Takao (My usual playstyle is firing the torps when concealed, wait for a bit for the torps to make their way to the target, then shoot, only allowing the target little to no reaction time to dodge these torps. Big note: these are long range HE spammers, not big DDs #WGStopPostingMisleadingInformation, the last thing you will, and should be doing, is to rush an enemy ship, the bad forward arcs of both the main battery turrets and torpedo tubes are already suggesting you not to do that, not mentioning the shell magnet of the front superstructure). Ibuki is also solid as well, HE is very decent, AP can be unexpectedly punchy at medium range, very long range torps(in fact one of the longest range torps you can get, almost 10km range), very neat concealment, and high top speed for a cruiser, she can basically be as fast as Donskoi, if not faster(also the recent buffs makes her even more solid). Of course there are downsides for this ship, like weak armour and AA, but come on, aren't these typical for IJN cruisers, if not for all cruisers? Just deal with it.
I'm not saying Takao is bad of course, Takao has her own advantages like matchmaking( I almost typed concealment in here, but I have just checked,Ibuki's concealment is in fact ever so slightly better than that of Takao), but I actually perfer the Ibuki instead, because of longer range of torps and main guns, it matters more than you would expect. Side note: Soyuz is technically not a paper ship, her hull is in fact being made partially in real life. Yeah it's a great kiter and when you can kite ships, it's fantastic but if they don't play your game, it can be quite hard of a grind to get through.

The Aoba and yahagi are basically identical so yahagi is also not worth it and I speak from experience.

For me the Algerie is the best t7 Cruiser I ever played. I have a average damage of 42k and a win rate of nearly 60%.

I loved the Algerie, felt like a down-tiered Hipper with consistent damage on all ships.

Takao is the best in the line in my opinion. Glad you enjoyed the ibuki. Never really seen anyone do well in it
I’m probably one of the few people who genuinely likes most of the British heavy cruisers (I bought Cheshire in the Shipyard ages ago and once I got used to its play-style and fully upgraded its commander, I had a lot of fun with it and the lower-tier heavy cruisers). I do get why Drake’s on the list, though - I think if Drake had the same consumables as Cheshire (i.e. another charge of smokescreen) and if its “seek and destroy” and “burning seas” battle honours were reordered (sinking cruisers specifically is taking forever…), it would have more potential!

Drake was the worst part of the line literally the worst ship I've ever played. I like Golsliath, I do decent in it, but I'm not dumb enough to think it's a great ship.
I expected the Freddy on this list because it really suffers from t9 matchmaking and Just feels Like a downgrade from the Bismarck

@@Slai47 I played it today and IT IS way too situational because as soon aß there are 4 dd's or more you are useless aß you have around 2km less secondary range than Bismarck
@@dragonsoos2277 when I tried it was better but it's more of a mid range ship. It needs more buffs like the GK since it's no longer a brawler, which sucks

Yeah this was before he buffs. Now the worst in that line is the Lion and at least it's usable now

It's workable but it and the tier 7 are the rough parts of the line. 9 and 10 are worth it

I'm not sure if this has been said yet but where is the FDG? No honorable mention at least? That ship is not fun with the current meta. If you have the free XP to skip to GK it would be worth the skip. GK can work pretty well while FDG can be pain.

Interesting. Hint and then question. I use to spend my "Ship XP" & "Ship XP / Free XP" boosters willy nilly. Now I save them exclusively for the long grinds. Question: I'm trying to "Battle Honor" the copper, steel, and titanium out of all my ships. Titanium is scare where is the brest place to get titanium?
Get tier 9 and ten copper and steel or premium ships to get titanium. Also hit legend

@@FunwithCaleb22 I have some videos but not how to's. It's a great support cruiser that can hunt DDs so stick near BBs and protect them or go with some DDs and be their Fortilla leader. Buffalo also players similar so I have videos onto that too.

Getting the legendary modules and skipping the tech lines that players don't want or have to resource to grind, they are definitely worthy Free EXP
I wish they would listen to us as the paying customers.. i mean in a way they do.. but how long did it take to fix silver economy.. to reduce the size of a ship like goliath, how difficult can it be? I think the Lightning is good too. I am biased though - I dislike Japanese Cruisers and French Destroyers in general.... I don't think Petro is bad compared to some of the other bad ships but I can see why its not popular when Moskva is available
All the British BB suck ,i got monarch with free exp when the line was released and so disappointed,with Algerie i agree with u and Lyon is disaster ,played almos all line but hard is Saint Loise ,to keep all HM and u get Henry yeahhh

well i play the drake a lot, and it lacks consistency a lot, even if u try to angle or bow in to battleships you will get deleted if the shells hit... the ship is so big that it gets blind fired easily even in the smoke screen. you get matched with tier 10s very oftern with yamatos or vermonts with 16+ km range that can easily snipe you, while you got a terrible 11km range, meaning you cant even return fire to higher tier ships in big maps usually. I have a level 12 beatty on the drake, buffing the smoke screen and more hp regained. if you rush in this ship u will be deleted in a few minutes, even if you dont its difficult to survive against smolensk and he spammers even if you avoid all the battleships. the ap is unsatisfactory. the gun reload is unbelievably long. for now, it's a short ranged, has sluggish guns(13 secs!) gets shredded by everything (even dd guns), low damage output except if you get lucky with the fires. . either buff the range or shorten the reload would make it more viable. Even for me, a level 12 legendary commander isn't sufficient to make this ship usable
People don’t like Drake because it’s a downgraded Albemarle at T9.
Compared to Albemarle…
- Her gun DPM is lower
- Her practical firestarting is worse
- Her agility is worse
- Her concealment is worse
- And of course, she faces T10

Oi Slai don't put my waifu Ibuki in the list. (I am now officially pissed off, don't make me return to blitz so soon)
I actually prefer the arcs of the Ibuki rather than that of the Takao, normally you will be kiting in these ships anyway, so having good rear torp arcs to matters a lot. That is also why I prefer Ibuki over Takao (My usual playstyle is firing the torps when concealed, wait for a bit for the torps to make their way to the target, then shoot, only allowing the target little to no reaction time to dodge these torps. Big note: these are long range HE spammers, not big DDs #WGStopPostingMisleadingInformation, the last thing you will, and should be doing, is to rush an enemy ship, the bad forward arcs of both the main battery turrets and torpedo tubes are already suggesting you not to do that, not mentioning the shell magnet of the front superstructure).
Ibuki is also solid as well, HE is very decent, AP can be unexpectedly punchy at medium range, very long range torps(in fact one of the longest range torps you can get, almost 10km range), very neat concealment, and high top speed for a cruiser, she can basically be as fast as Donskoi, if not faster(also the recent buffs makes her even more solid).
Of course there are downsides for this ship, like weak armour and AA, but come on, aren't these typical for IJN cruisers, if not for all cruisers? Just deal with it.

I'm not saying Takao is bad of course, Takao has her own advantages like matchmaking( I almost typed concealment in here, but I have just checked,Ibuki's concealment is in fact ever so slightly better than that of Takao), but I actually perfer the Ibuki instead, because of longer range of torps and main guns, it matters more than you would expect.
Side note: Soyuz is technically not a paper ship, her hull is in fact being made partially in real life. WG cannot give the Soyuz 420s either, because one of these B-37 406mm guns have actually been made.

Phoenix and Omaha are the worst ships in the game imo. The guns are inaccurate and do little damage the torps are... There and they don't teach you anything about the rest of the lines. I think they are fine from a historic point of view and shouldn't be changed but really, just skip 'em.
