    Enjoyed the video. This was my first ever hobby grade kit. The Outlaw motor did in fact come with the kit.

    I had an earlier one, wow what a life it has been since these days, awesome building these as a kid taught me alot, threading all holes and seating plastics. Thanks for the memories man.. 😁👍

    Very nice. I just acquired a gorgeous little 2nd gen. Has a “B”. on the back below the motor. Has never been driven in the dirt. Came with all the original stuff including the receipt from busy bee hobbies in California. Bought 5-25-1994 For 150.83. Original manual came in the box as well

    Lovely ! Just a thought but if you wanted to retain the complete vintage look you could always put your flysky receiver in to an old futaba receiver case

      JOHN GEORGIOU that’s an interesting idea. Have you done that?

    This was very first real R/C car. My grandpa and I built it. One of my best memories as a kid.!!!

      Gary Vallone This was my 3rd RC car as a kid. Mine was an earlier Championship edition. I actually sold it to a co-worker about 10 years ago which i regret. Luckily I found this one for a decent price considering its mint and what people are asking for them today. It’s all about memories of our childhood! Thanks for the comment and support.

    I use the fly sky radio and receivers also I'm most of my cars unless your Racing professionaly and maybe even then they do a great job. Very nice buggy.👍

      Thanks for the comment. I've switched a majority of my runners over to radio links.... but I still use the fly sky's to bench test or just the RC's that I take out to a field and zip around. It does the trick and you can't beat the price...

    I had bought my own RC 10 Champion Edition. Ordered it from Tower Hobbies and they sent it wrapped in brown paper with their newest catalog. I got the older six gear transmission and the new catalog listed the new stealth transmission models. If I had just waited about three weeks to a month I could have gotten a new one with its stealth transmission. And mine did not come with the Outlaw Motor. Mine came with the green label team Associates competition stock motor

    I have a black and white CE. I received it without body or original wheels. I'm currently rebuilding it as a runner.

    😊👍Nice! On my RC10 I had I cut a slot in the front battery holder so the wires don't get pinched...but your not running it so I would leave it just stock.

    Great video! I'm getting my RC10CE back in running order right now. I had the same glitching issue way back when. What receiver did you recommend in the video? Hard to make out exactly what you said. Can that new receiver work with an old school Futaba transmitter? Thanks!

    • @RCRetro
      @RCRetro  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ended up using a flysky receiver. However, since then, I pulled the receiver out since it is just a shelf queen. I used the receiver in a different car. Thanks for the comment.
