I love this song💖
I heard in George Gently🤗💖🤩
oh Lola...
Thanks to George Gently we have a record of the history of great music of the 1960's. Thanks George
Thanks Martin & Lee. Just watched the Northern Soul episode. Brilliant acting, terrific scenert topped off with this brilliant song. I sent 3 years in Shields at the College there. Accents are nearly always so accurate.
I heard it on an episode of George Gently too! Absolutely beautiful song ❤
What an amazing, wonderful blues! And what a voice!
Yes!Finaly found this song, thank you!Heard it first time in Russian movie.❤
I just heard this on "Casualty". I thought I'd missed an Otis Redding song or Sam Cooke. This is so cool.
We still remember our dear Lola bunny
this man's voice is beyond incredible; I'm seriously blown away listening to him sing.
Just saw this on "George Gently" BBC and was happy to find it on you tube. It has a 60's sound with plenty of soul and emotion, but pretty certain it is a much newer song. It has a sound (to me) of Sam Cooke, Percy Sledge and Otis Redding which is definitely a great thing! Thank you for posting this song. Just wish the singer was known as I would love to buy a CD of his music.
So happy to find it on TH-cam. Wow. What a great song. It brings tears to my eyes.
Max
This contains the soul of music, the kind of vibe you don't get with today's garbage.
After years of quest I finally found this song. You have no idea how much this means to me.
❤️ this song... ❤️ George Gently!!!
Thank you for this Great Song Terry Devine King. 👍😘
My only Lola Bunny
I started watching a BBC series (Inspector George Gently), it has been playing the best songs. So far, as of season 5, I've never heard of them. I REALLY like this one! I could, almost, hearing Otis Redding singing it.
Wow.....das ist ein Geiler Song. Habe gerade " George Gently " geschaut und am Ende der Folge lief dieser Song. Hammer Geil. 👍👍
I have only this very moment discover this beautiful song, how have I ever not known or heard it before in my life ….oh well I guess better late than never ….
Like others before me found this amazing track on the TV program 'Inspector George Gently - Gently Northern Soul' repeated last night. Thought it was Otis Reading at first. Fabulous!
I just drift away to a happier place the late 60s oh thank you George gently, I love you after hearing this ending the prog, love this singer to..... love to you all x
Man I heard this song on a mop commercial and I just had to find the full song. Shazam didn't know what the f*** I was talking about so I had to type it word from word and I am so glad somebody had it on youtube
"Ohhh it's so sexy!" :(

That's the same song, but not the same singer. Helpful for anyone that wants to compare, but your link is an inferior version in my opinion. There has been a link at the bottom of the video description, after the lyrics. Sharron also posted the correct link for anyone that wants to purchase this (superior/best) version.
Love this song.
The song is so beautiful and the show was so sad and poignant given what is happening now.
Yep George Gently bought me here;-)
I love this song it's just awesome ;-)
I agree with you it's such a good song to hear when your outside relaxing and watching the beautiful sky
what an amazing voice
this sing just speaks to you. Lord have mercy.
love this song
Thank you so much for finding and spreading knowledge of this absolutely fantastic song. I tried Shazam also, it still cannot identify it
awesome song... :D
+Alanp French
As the link at the bottom of the description and the description itself states, this version is by "Terry Devine-King and Steve Levine". Maurice Hayes does not deliver the song anywhere near as good as this version in my opinion.
Thanks so much for sharing that with me, with us...
LOVE!!! Thank you so much for posting this song!!! I've been looking for it!
I heard this on room 104 and I knew I had to hear it again....
Incredible 💙💙💙💙💙
Summer of '67 brought me here.
Heard this song today on Russian T.V. today and loved it. I easily found it on TH-cam. My wife is Russian.
Thanks Alan.
My only Lola bunny😟
Thanks Ubisoft!
Just seen repeat lovely music
yes you're right.. it was very helpful.. and also that shazam couldn't identify it..

Terry Devine-King and Steve Levine ~ One More Lonely Night (Without Your Love)
Who's singing this Masterpiece???
I checked the site and it looks like they got rid of the 'Personal Usage' option or however it was worded. It was $1.25, now the cheapest option appears to be $9.99. That's a bit of a shame.
Aguanta bebé, no me sueltes Lola bunny 🤧
Discovered because of Prise au piège
🥰🥰🥰
My only Lola Bunny... I dont let you go....
I'm searching for the tune from the fighting scene interupting the ceremony at the club. Can anyone tell what that great soul song is?, and with what group / singer? Not easy to hear lyrics with all the noise from fighting, but it sounds like "Right On Time" Episode: "Gently Northern Soul"
Ngl this is the only song that has came pretty close to making me cry a little and hearing him kinda cry really struck a cord in me
Nice, even if the organ is a bit aggressive!

Heard this in Free Rein
To be clear, so people aren't steered in the wrong direction looking for this song, this is NOT by The Nylons as Google search is current showing. That's not even a different version; it's a completely different song.
In the Netherlands, this is now the new song of the Range Rover commercial
The crew 2 😁😂
Here because of the Ashley Madison documentary
Lana Joi me too. this was the best part of the documentary. I'm glad I left it on until the end. finding this song makes up for the 45 minutes I wasted watching it!
If this is not the Maurice Hayes version, than who is the singer ?
+GRUMPYC0CKNEY
The names of the creators are at the top of the description. I'm with you that they are producers or something along those lines as far as I'm aware, so I can't say who the singer is. Click the link in the bottom of the description to verify. If you want to know badly enough, use the site's Contact info to ask or try searching for ways to contact Terry Devine-King or Steve Levine. Click Alanp French's link in the comments here to hear the Maurice Hayes version and realize it clearly sounds different and is not delivered anywhere near as good as the version in this video.
This is the version used by BBC over the past couple years. If you like this version (released in 2012; Maurice's inferior version shows a 2014 release), then you can click the link at the bottom of the description, choose your usage (likely Personal - $1.25) with the yellow $ button, then add it to your cart and check out.
I have nothing to do with the song (that's why it took me 1-2 years to find it after first hearing it). I don't know who the singer is. I'm not affiliated with the audionetwork purchase link. I haven't put ads on the video. I don't get paid in any way whatsoever and don't know much beyond what it says at that link. I'm only sharing it to make it easier for others to find as before I posted this video with the lyrics included in the description it was nearly impossible to find. Google could not find it based on the lyrics, Shazam and SoundHound did not recognize it, people asking in Yahoo Answers and other places could not get an answer, etc.
But again, check Alanp French's link to hear for yourself that it's not Maurice Hayes in this version, unless he recorded it again 2 years later, sounded different, delivered it much worse, and decided to then release that on a CD.
This version is the same that is used at the beginning of BBC America's Top Gear - The Stig Waiting commercial: www.bbcamerica.com/top-gear/videos/the-stig-waiting/
I can't confirm whether this is the version from George Gently or not, since I've never seen the show, but that's what everyone seems to be saying. I've read it's at the end of the 'Northern Soul' episode, which would be season 5 episode 1, but I'm hearing Bill Withers - Leon On Me at the end of that episode. If someone could point me to the correct episode and time within the episode, I could verify whether it's this version or not. I would assume it is since they're both BBC and they licensed it to use in both George Gently and the Top Gear commercial.
+EeJLP You're right in what you're saying about ' Lean on me' I spent a lot of time hunting this song down having heard it at the end of the programme. it really does sound so 60's. I think the repeat was on a different channel to BBC, worth the effort though and I'm glad someone decided to change the soundtrack! :)
+EeJLP This is from a George gently episode I heard it a long time ago I mean years and years i'm 73 years old it was when my kids were small...not sure who it is singing tho...I just watched Gently thats what made me remember it....
i have just watched George Gently and yes this song is played at the end
I've seen the episode in question numerous times and I can confirm it's definitely this version of this song that's played at the end of Gently Northern Soul.
that's why some youtube commercials aren't so baad :D
Joe's heart break mix tape (not gay)
Carrot fly I forgot the name of the video now can't find it ;-; can you please tell me the name
Love on the brain, rihanna?
Good song, Etta James - I'd Rather Go Blind is another similar song.
I thought Love On The Brain sampled from Etta James, but others say it sampled Al Green - For The Good Times
This song was sung by Chritos Karteris....found it on utube ....for all who asked who sang it..
I'm pretty sure Chritos Karteris is just another uploader's name (and the name of his TH-cam channel). He credits the same people in his decription ("Terry Devine-King, Steve Levine") and the other videos on his channel are random songs with credits to different people.
After hearing this on George gently I tracked it down to this site: au.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/one-more-lonely-night_52170?composer=478
This is the same version as on the video.
I have a story to match this song.
A man met a woman on the street. He asked her why she was hanging out there in the dangers of the city. She said she was meeting a guy. He walked away, but he secretly watched her. Hours passed, and no guy showed up. At around 10:00 PM, she decided to leave. He asked her where the guy was, but she said he must have forgotten. They walked down the street together, and they talked. He asked her if she wanted to come over to his house sometime, and she said sure. Two years later, the two got married. After three more years, they had their first child. One year later, they had their second child. Their first was a girl, their second was a boy. When the girl was six and the boy was five, the two parents started to fight. After three months, the woman filed a divorce. Two months later, they were legally divorced. The man had both children, and then, he looked back at his photo of their first date. Then, he sang this song.
Hope you enjoyed reading!
Just sit on top of the car and drink a beer....stairing at the stars!
