As a solo use stashes. I keep one with a jackie/chainsaw/tier3 to rebuild and never leave boom in base when logging off. Getting raided will happen so be prepared.

J7 is where i would probaly build (if its a cliff, hard to see on this map). Its kinda a area that many people will not go near as their either follow train track or road, but they avoid snow like plague.

For the second location, that’s a swamp, not a cave. Swamps tend to house a lot of sulfur nodes so still not necessarily a bad spot
