I'm not really saying Nunez should be sold. However, looking beyond his 31G/A, he's got some of the worst stats in the league:
*11 goals from 16.3xG. 5.3xG underperformance. For context, the only others close to that are Jackson and Calvert Lewin.
*Over 40 BCMs in all comps. Worst Big Chance Conversion rate in the top 5 leagues.
*Hasn't scored vs a top 9 team since September.
This is a starting striker for a league chasing team and he's being outscored by the likes of Hwang, Havertz, Mateta and Wood.
Even take his assists with a pinch of salt because Salah finishes chances creating by Nunez at much higher rate than the other way round.

The support for Nunez outweighs the hate he receives especially in anfield. Social media is such a terrible way to make a statement when yutes make burner accounts all the time to hate and sometimes are rival fans. To me it’s a lack of confidence and use of scape goat to leave the club when imo he doesn’t believe he can turn it around considering he’s been here for two years. If want to go so be it but don’t forget the love he got from so many reds

No offense, but this is childish from Nunez. Two years of unconditional support from the fans, and he deletes every record of Liverpool because an idiot sent a death threat. Things like this happen at this level. Is he going to delete everything about Uruguay when one fan over there abuses him? This is disrespectful to the Liverpool fans who supported him.

    • @curtisjackson2478

Good show gents👏 I do agree the mood is strange. For me it's been a that bcz we've fumbled during the business end of the season, watching team like Dortmund get into a UCL final, losing out to ish Man U in cup, No Europa final. The winners mentality has fallen short & that's what I expect from whoever we have at the club. And our gaffer (& tbf his assistants too) have 1 foot out the door.
Nunez talk is heavy subject for some but there's been good points from everyone. I backed him when he was at Benfica & wanted him here. I think there's lots to unpack w his tenure here. Callum said a lot I agree w, very fair assessment. But I think b4 all the criticism we have to acknowledge that our attacking style hasn't been sparkling. Even Isak, who's clearly more polished as a striker, I think he would have trouble in our team!! The creative aspect of our attack hasn't been class, just helter skelter. Long balls or set piece merchants. We had trouble breaking teams down & creating really clear chances. That hasn't helped Nunez get them goals & of course he hasn't shown composure in many moments. That's been disappointing bcz it's what Jurgen shud have identified as the weakness in his development.
But I'll say this, I wouldn't want a player who's not committed to the shirt.. hey his compadre Suarez tweeted him to be Positive & look forward but if he's checked out, then we shud work on plan B. New manager shud get a say on who his striker is anyways.

The problem is that the big players are judged on the clutch moments of the season. kai havertz was slow to fit in tot the arsenal team but in the clutch moments Havertzs has stepped up to the plate.
Nunez had gone missing in theses games and the fans have got tired of seeing this happen for two seasons even the fans in the stadium don't chant his name anymore which didn't help when the over chanted his name so he must be feeling that now.

Drift is bang on about Darwin. As soon as a player goes through a bad patch the online section jumps on them like wolves. Similar to gakpo about a month ago, now people love gakpo because he’d had a good run of form. There is such a difference between the online section and regular match goers towards players, thank god as every player would just want to go. The way I am even if Darwin had scored 0 goals, if he wears the badge and fights for it which he does, he will get my support no matter what. Before he had even played a game for us people were finding his training clips and mocking him. He’s had a target on his back. Is he good enough for us, maybe, maybe not. I’d like to give him one more season as he does have potential and we have seen flashes this season. Also, he certainly didn’t cost us the league. He definitely played a part and is not blameless, but a few players cost us the league, along with conceding first 24 times or something this season. Nothing I hate more is seeing hate and scapegoating against our own players from ‘fans’ that apparently support the club. Gini said it perfectly before he left. I’m not some Darwin mad fan that people get accused of being for backing him, I just see both sides and can see he’s also scored some pretty huge goals this season to keep up in the race. That being said I also hear people doubting him being good enough to win us the league as he hasn’t shown it consistently at all throughout his time here. It’s a tough subject and I just hope both parties end up happy whatever happens 😀

Idc what anyone says our forward line cost us the league : jota always injured (3 injuries this season at crucial moments) Salah falls off a cliff in mid March or all of April (aka business end of the season) Nunez misses too many big chances in crucial moments (that would give us momentum and control) Diaz output is a abysmal all effective dribble very scatty in front of goal not clutch at all and doesn’t even replace that would playmaking or assists (he’s the biggest problem in my opinion). Gakpo is just average and still hasn’t cemented a place in the team that gives him rhythm and stylistically doesn’t fit sometimes (we will see with new Dutch manager).

I totally agree Drifty with everything you have said. The abuse that has been directed, targeted and hurled at Darwin Nunez has been outrageous. I was sadden to read he had taken down some of his Liverpool FC images of his social media. It may have been a "knee jerk" reaction or heart felt. He's human and clearly he has been deeply hurt by all the criticism. The outcome of the season CANNOT be attributed to one player. The entire squad has to shoulder their portion of the blame. If we lose Darwin Nunez to another club, it's going to be REGRETTABLE for Liverpool, the club, his team mates and the fans. When Darwin is on "par" who can match his "blistering pace. His contribution and creativity in assisting goals. How can a player contribute 30 plus goals and yet, we would even consider letting him go. How does that even make good business sense? What harm could it possibly do to give him a second chance. Given time he will become an integral member of the squad. Lets not be under any illusions. There are clubs out there who knows his potential. Just like an oil rig it's waiting to be tapped. I can only describe it as a diamond, initially at first, it's not pretty to look at, but the value, class, clarity and CARAT weight is down to the cutting and cultivating. It takes "time and patience" If we're not prepared to give him that chance then trust me, it will be the equivalent of Christies or Sotherbys come "transfer day" The first bidder will be our arch rivals. I watching koptalk with dunkun old school Liverpool you tuber and he made a point about the death threats storys . Who actually leaked them ,who has actually confirmed this to be true ,the club ,nunez who . where is the real evidence that the abuse to his wite and death threats happened and i cant disagree. I hvbe no doubt a few idiots were probably telling him how crap he is which in itself directly to tell him is out of order. But is there a possibility the deaths threat's were manufactured to make it sound worse to garner more sympathy for nunez and deflect from his poor performances. That would be a good move if i was part of the nunez team . If klopp mentions deaths threats or the club or something concrete i cant 100% believe to be true you cant believe everything on the net unless its fully certified. Ive heard players getting abused all the time its nothing new didn't quansah get abused after the man united match when he made the mistake I didnt really see the fans in meltdown over this maybe if a death threat was thrown in it may have i dont know. Was gakpo getting abuse probably nobody really cared . This nunez guy from the time he has got here is the most molly coddled protected player i have ever seen. In my opinion im not a fan of Nunez and find myself disliking him even more not even because of him or anything he is doing its his fan boys the nunez sexuals the 31 g/a gang . When i started watching football in the late 80's - 90,s people watched football with the eye test people could see what was in front them in this era stats are the be all and end all. Eye test for me rules it what i use stats can supplement them. Football is not baseball there are so many variables in football and stats can be very misleading. So when i watch nunez i can see what im watching.

Nunez abuse is too far defo, altho…the guy has 32 big chances plus missed this season. All this loving and give the guy a third chance shit is more of a reason of why we are the bridesmaid and are secind best to Real Madrid and Man City this era. Nunez is not good enough as lfc first choice 9….it’s not bad form…this meltdown recently shows his mentality is not elite as he would want to prove us all wrong. The dude needs to sit bench or edwards sells him. Toney or isak was our number 9 and they had nunez chances they get more 18 percent conversion. Plus with all repsect to drift who is a great guy he would have everyone at the club till they are 40. If nunez is first choice next season he will have even more negativity on him coz he ain’t improving his finishing or composure at 25

After all that chanting Nunez in the stadium but he chooses to let the few trolls make him take down his Liverpool pics. F him them, no one is bigger than the club, he’s rubbish and we won’t win the league with him end of let’s stop this delusion. We should cash in and buy another player. Without Numez this season we would have finished mid season. Yes he missed a lot of chances but he created so many chances for other players and still scored quite a bit and imagine all the crossbars he hit went in what will have happened. The guy give his all every game and I don’t blame him for what he has done cause he is being made the scapegoat. People care too much about stats than what a player brings the team. If he is gone this summer I will be so sad. He is one of my favourite players. I will miss him more than Klopp to be honest
