Just wanted to say your the most entertaining ow2 player I’ve ever seen. From the edits to the minimal talking is refreshing, every other TH-camr/ streamer have some kinda facades or ego but you are just you, and that is real. Just wanna say I appreciate your funny videos and absolute skill at the game.
2:47 literally exactly it. I don't know why the tank reworks were specifically designed to just make tanks little godzillas that run around. Like, if the devs had understood what tanking meant in the context of overwatch and not "oh, tank means hard to kill" we would be in such a better spot. Instead of making tanks just have absurd numbers the reworks should have focused on making off tanks control space and displace enemies better AND make main tanks more mobile to be more capable of peeling and diving. instead we just have this rotating meta of "how will the meta tank fuck you this season?" season 1 zarya walked over you, season 2 roadhog walked over you midseason 2 patch orisa walked over you, then ball was gigabuffed and teamkilled every 30 seconds, then ramattra was way too busted and the list just goes on and on. tanks didnt get a single buff to contesting SPACE, and instead got buffs to just pressing W and bursting people in 1v1s
Maybe if support wasn't so horrendously overtuned tanks would die a lot easier. Just the fact alone that counter swapping is so incredibly effective at denying tanks any value should tell you that tanks aren't OP. Tanks just benefit the most from how overtuned supports are, kinda like how Mercy is such a problem when pocketing a DPS. Surely when so many DPS are too strong with a Mercy pocket it's the DPS that's the problem and not the Mercy, right? That's exactly the argument that's being made against tanks right now. You're blaming DPS for being too strong when it's Mercy that's the problem. It's not that DPS are too strong, Mercy is. It's not the tanks that are too strong, support is. Counter swapping will always be effective, but when tanks die easier because supports can't do as much then it becomes a lot less necessary to counter swap, because each DPS hero will have a greater impact on eating away at a tanks health. A tank should beat a DPS in a 1v1 in its effective range/playstyle. That's why there's only 1 tank and 2 DPS. 2 DPS absolutely shred a tank when not being double pocketed. A tank that's not an effective threat to even a single target can't make space.
“Ball was giga buffed” you mean mines actually worked? Nothing in his kit is vastly different from OW1. Not having to hunt for health is just QOL. People just dont know how to play against one of the least played tanks in the game and spam movement before he dropped mines so they got stuck and died in it. Not to mention half the entire roster counters him. Unlike every other tank having the exact same counters being zen, ana, reaper, bastion.

It's insane to me that they think they nerfed Orisa. Like they "increased" the cooldown on Fortify, but they decreased it by making the cooldown start after usage.. so they increased it and decreased it and were like "yeah this is better we did so much let's put it in live"
@@renegade0524 Orisa isn't even hardest meta lol. Number one half of the reason orisa is so strong is because supports are so gigabusted. Also, esp with zar changes, orisa is not the strongest individual tank in the game at all, and just so happens to fit into a high sustain poke meta.
To be fair the Orisa WAS going for the Ana. Until Metro decided to stay and shoot said Orisa unlike Ana who still managed to run away faster than a Soldier.... somehow.
And the problem you're describing of "counterswapping because tanks are OP" isn't even the cause of the problem The cause of the problem is 5v5 It always was going to be a problem, I've said this since the moment they announced they'd lose one tank You have to buff tank so much that they can hold their own, meaning that in any 1v1 scenario against a non-tank character, the tank will pretty much always come out on top without issue, even if they're less skilled than the non-tank character In Overwatch 6v6 this was so much more balanced because there were two tanks, and they had distinct roles like main tank and off-tank 5v5 has some good about it but overall it's a shitshow, mostly just because Blizzard cannot balance. They've never been able to, we've seen a TON of broken shit over the years or severely underpowered shit over the years. But now the tank role requires so much more responsibility to balance and they can't Imo 5v5 will be part of the death of Overwatch in time. People will realize how dumb it was to remove 1 tank (yes, double shield was bad, but making the game 5v5 is like cutting off a leg just because you chafed it, instead of disinfecting it and putting on a bandaid. Double shield could've been solved in a myriad of ways, some even requiring MORE teamwork between tankplayers which would really set apart the great players from the not-so-great players).
I disagree with u, actually u can put Winston on check with Soldier or Cass without having to switch to Reaper but good luck doing the same with Orisa without switching to her counters. Basically you're correct on some tanks but not all of them

Then ImLilacs released a video about Metro, so I got proof that I'm not the only one who thinks that way.
something i think most people won’t get is that, counter picking being so prevalent means a good balance between tanks, because the game will either be counter pick your opponent or that there’s a hard meta, the latter being inherently unbalanced. yet people still complain that that’s how the game is, is there a way to fix it? idk, but people still act like the developers are doing nothing when in a game where you can switch your character not one of y’all could come up with a solution that fixes it.
