The 2nd video (Pa Pa Ya - live) was completely blocked, so I edited it down to only Monochrome. Sorry if some comments that I say during the video are not relevant to this exact song/video.
cheers for the info. Sorry you had issues. Some people seem to get stuff through the copyright pain gate with ease, others have issues - It think their talent agency Amuse is usually to blame - sometimes feels like they don't want their artists to thrive. better luck in the future.
Rare you got PA PA YA official MV blocked, is usually safe to react but don't worry man, i left some suggestions how to avoid those annoying copyright blocked issues in my wall of text comment. Thanks for keep trying.🦊🤘
@@Cheezyxyz Oh it was live at Glastonbury 2019, even more rare but i saw someone lately got the same issue with that clip in the same place, don't bother about Glastonbury, no one likes those because got a bad sound mix and the crowd weren't usual BM fans. Instead you got a decent live compilation safe to react at "who?" channel, try it if you want but again don't worry, come back later and move on with next suggestions.🦊👍
You got their newest song with Monochrome. Now it is time to hit the way-back button and react to their very first song from 12 years ago "Doki Doki⭐Morning" 😁🤘🦊🤘😁
The facts about BabyMetal - In 5 years (2014 - 2020), they have win 25 awards in different categories from MTV Europe and Japan, from metal magazine Kerrang!, Loudwire and Metal Hammer. In 2020, they win Best Album Of The Year "Metal Galaxy" from MTV Video Music Awards Japan.
The name BABYMETAL refers to the birth of a new genre, Kawaii Metal. I both love and admire BABYMETAL because they are so unique, talented and humble. No two songs of theirs will sound the same. If you're interested in a truly unique experience and great live performances, then you should definitely hear (and see!) more of BABYMETAL.
Hi Cheezy. Good reaction! BABYMETAL is a fusion of heavy metal, J-pop vocals, and dance. The band was designed around Su-Metal's voice. The name comes from the spelling in Japanese where only the first character needs to be slightly changed: へビーメタル (heavy metal), ベビーメタル (baby metal). The name was chosen to mean the birth of a new form of metal music. They are often referred to as a "metal dance unit" in Japanese media as the group considers themselves live performers first more than being recording artists, in fact I would always recommend watching live performances over music videos when possible!
I would say that 2 most important things about Babymetal are versatility and live. They are VERY different even in a single album plus 12 years of evolution (they started when Su was 12 y.o. and soon she is 25). And they are live band. MVs are ok, but nothing compares to the live. Start with their earlier songs. I recommend Akatsuki, Megitsune or Headbanger.
Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 You were really jamming with this song and that's all that matters for me, so if you want something different in your life then BabyMetal will definitely be your option, but you'll have to go back more than 10 years to know how they arrived here and what's really BM all about coz trust me, this song is beautiful and with different elements, but is not even close to show you what they're capable to do when performing on the stage. Dance choreography and metal had never seen before and they somehow managed to make it works, there's no other group like them out there and after they blew up internationally with the biggest hit Gimme Chocolate!! they opened up the gates to many others J-Metal and J-Rock bands that many fans are enjoying, so thanks to BM the Japanese music scene were certainly benefited. They got the bless of many others rock and metal legends like Metallica, Rob Halford from Judas Priest, Guns N Roses, RHCP, Korn, Corey Taylor from Slipknot, DragonForce, Rob Zombie, even Lady Gaga took them on her live tour and many more famous artists and bands gave support to this truly phenomenon. BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute), mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal", although when they started so young we can say that they look like babies looking even younger than the age they got. They are: *SuMetal* (lead vocals). *MoaMetal* (scream and dance) *YuiMetal* (scream and dance, former member since 2018) None of them are related. Some recommendations for next songs like: - _"Ijime, Dame, Zettai"_ live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 or... - _"Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!"_ live at Legend 1997 in Makuhari Messe Japan when SuMetal is celebrating her 16th birthday becoming a metal goddess queen and leaving her idol jpop form (you can find one at Gans Tomas channel under "Head Bangya" title). - _"Catch Me If You Can"_ live at Budokan 2014 (you got a safe to react version with subtitles at GuilhermeCait channel). You have more than 50 songs and still more to come. Amuse their label is very hard to deal so if you want to avoid copyright blocked you have *Babymetal Reactor Resource* channel you'll get full original clips of their best live performance with watermarked logo safe to react, look for "Future Plans" vid, follow instructions and you'll get all of them, upload the one with the logo for us and you can watch without it, don't worry for us we already saw all of them. This song is beautiful and full of meanings, we all are theorizing about it, but the main point is they're trying to tell us a new story and lore about a metalverse with 10 different worlds and songs they found after a year of official hiatus when sealing the group. Everything will be revealed at their own time and you didn't even watched their first previous single of this upcoming album "The Other One" called "Divine Attack - Shingeki", try it if you want. Thanks for sharing this and hope to see you next time 🦊🤘🔥
@@Cheezyxyz Don't mention it, go for a really safe one next time with Headbanger!! live at Legend 1997, remember "Gans Tomas" or "abr metal" got that under Head Bangya title, don't go for the most viewed clip from another channel, it has some audio issues and long unnecessary outro.
Everyone has their own interpretation of the song. In reality, there are painful things like wars, disasters, and pandemics that rob the world of its beautiful colors. But this song is about bringing back the beautiful colors, starting with us! I feel the positivity of the song 😁. I like the fact that it doesn't deny or criticize anyone. I am looking forward to seeing the one and only new BABYMETAL next year when these songs will be performed in concert. It will be HEAVY METAL if you listen to them, HAPPY METAL if you watch them, and I will be so happy if I can witness in real time the completion of a worldview that only they can create 😭.
Babymetal's name is a play on the words "heavy metal", as, in Japanese, the word "baby" (ベビー bebī) rhymes with "heavy" (ヘビー hebī). "Baby" may indicate cuteness, "metal" - intensity. Also, it can be interpreted as "newborn metal".
Welcome to the Fox fam! To do list: Road of Resistance live "best crowd participation ever" Rondo of nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live " heavy side, invite only arena" Pa pa ya live " cardio" Megitsune (music video) "this is what made them popular" These would be a good start, don't get lost...every song is different
They are different, but in a good way. First off, great honest reaction to them! It's always interesting to see people react to Babymetal for the first time! Ok, their live performances are where it's at. You can really see how much of a show they put on and you can see the Kami band just kill it. Their crowd participation is also insane in my opinion... like, they have some DEDICATED fans which is awesome! All of this will make sense once you watch one live performance. I would recommend checking out Karate and/or Megitsune live, just to get started... anyway, looking forward to the next one!!!
Babymetal is a journey of 12 years, and you started at the last stage of that journey, so, i will recommend you to start from the beginning: Doki Doki Morning.
Good first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Fox Hole.🦊I won't leave my traditional wall of text explaining their history and origins etc as youtube has been making a lot of my comments disappear lately, there is time for that later if you are interested - and Jake Muller has already done his good job with the essential details already. Their name 'BABYMETAL' is not about their age (although when they started in 2010 they were aged 12 and 11 so it probably did play a part too). The name was chosen for two reasons: - to symbolize that they gave birth to a new genre of metal music (kawaii metal - kawaii meaning cute as in adorable, like a box of puppies) - because the writing (and pronunciation) in Japanese is nearly identical to the writing of "heavy metal" (and they love a pun): BABYMETAL = ベビーメタル (be-bi-me-ta-ru) heavy metal = ヘビーメタル (he-bi-me-ta-ru) They have over 50 songs now and you will be hard pressed finding any two alike. They have songs in virtually every metal genre (thrash, speed, power, prog, djent, black, death, nu-metal ... you name it pretty much) but they will also mix in many other musical styles and genres with the metal (Jpop, ska, reggae, Latin, Bollywood, Finnish polka, EDM, rap, hip hop, dub step and more) usually when you least expect it. Some songs are good hard metal, some lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between. If you're not so keen on one song or it isn't really your thing - no problem, try another. It will be different and may even become one of your own favourite songs. They are first and foremost a live performance act - you will not have seen or heard anything quite like them - having invented their own genre they are unique. Some have tried to follow their lead, none has come close yet. I see you watched 'PA PA YA' as well. Sorry that was blocked (you are unlucky with that) That is one of their fun songs - the official video was filmed at a live show, the audio was from the studio - the live audio was better (as is pretty much the case every time with BABYMETAL - Su-metal's live vocals are just special and you get to hear the Kami Band supporting them - they really are the best of the best. We will introduce them to you in future reactions if you carry on - and it would be a real shame if you don't).
Sir, this IS actually your traditional wall of text. 👍edit: Su’s voice has always sounded great to me, but now I think it’s better than ever. What do you think?
@@kevinhiggins7838 Haha,🤣 it wasn't meant to be when I started typing - as always I got carried away. I think I did mostly different to my usual 'history of the band' wall this time at least.
Welcome to the BABYMETAL Galaxy. You just found the most unique, talented, beautiful, humble, and respectful people on the planet. BABYMETAL shines brightest when they are Live. So hopefully you jump down the FOX hole some more and enjoy the journey. 🤘🦊🤘
You should really checkout a song like Headbanger live at Death Legend 1997. This is called Kawaii Metal. There band name Babymetal is not due to the age of female vocalists like most people think, it's because of this new sub-genre of metal that they invented.
Babymetal started as an effort to mix the J-Pop kawaii ("cute") aesthetic with heavy metal, to create a genre of music that they call (not surprisingly) "kawaii metal". They've been touring and making albums for 12 years now, and as they've gotten older, their music has matured as well (the main vocalist, Suzuka Nakamoto, turns 25 this month, which gives you an idea of how young they were when they started). This particular track is off their latest album, due to be released next year.
You gotta check them out live...but Amuse can be a pain with their blocking so best to use a logo over any reactions to their EPICAF videos. There's a channel with logo covered versions that you can use for your reactions called Babymetal Reactor Resource, here on YT. SuMetal, the singer here, is a soprano with a C4 to G5# range. MoaMetal, who is doing the harmonies, has a damn fine voice too.
@@Cheezyxyz On the Babymetal Reactor Resource channel click on the video titled 'Future Plans' and read the description to find links to good live performances of nearly all their songs plus guidance on how you can use them so your reactions will not be blocked.
I suggest getting to know Babymetal in chronological order of the songs. You will like it, I'm sure. Watch the videos but also live. It's impressive and we became fans right away. 🦊🦊🦊
While yes it is Japanese, BABYMETAL was actually the start of Japanese metal. The girls started on a tv talent show or something similar singing pop music when they were around 10 years old and started a new spinoff metal group in the show and then went on to make babymetal. It was the first band in Japan to combine metal music with j-pop ever. A lot of people say they aren't metal because of their seemingly happy songs and their pop group vocals and origins but the girls had the idea and created the concept themselves and I find that super cool. A lot of the messages in their songs are targeted for younger to teenage girls because they sing a lot about feeling weird in your own skin and downsized because of being a girl. I think you should really listen to Megitsune (pronounced Meg-it-soon-ay) the whole song is about how yes they're cute and their vocals are high and poppy but they're in reality metal asf. Stan BABYMETAL for life!!!
I can only respectfully suggest, if you intend to explore the World of BABYMETAL, you go way back to the beginning and watch their evolution. Monochrome is sublime. The back-catalogue? Well, you'll see 😁 The One will be dropping by with all the info you require. Kitsune da o 🦊🤘
welcome to the wonderful Babymetal world - revel in it, dude - it's superb, sometimes bizarrely confusing, but so rewarding. You've got some catching up to do! (>10 years!!) Once you get (what I understand) the meaning of the story of this song, it's a tear jerker, as well as beautiful. Other music vids to try would be Megitsune and Karate for the classic line-up of the band, perhaps BxMxC for the later stuff (it's "different"). You should also see the visualiser for Divine Attack - song release just before Monochrome. Deffo try them live - Headbanger live is a hoot (search for BABYMETAL - Headbanger Live @ Legend 1997 Apocalypse) but any live stuff is good (I think you'll have less copyright struggels if you pick up vids that aren't from the official channel, though they are better. Happy exploring, sir.
That is weird they blocked you on Papaya, but at least got got to see what they are like live as that is what they are, a live performance group, just hearing the music you are only getting half the product and most would agree the lead singer Su-metal always sounds better live than after they have processed her voice on the recordings. It is an interesting time to check out Babymetal as their long awaited new album is about to drop next year and they have another three tracks that will be released before the album.
Welcome to the Foxhole indeed!! Every song represents a different metal style!!! Incredible musicians and amazing shows!! Live versions are always better!! Headbanger, Road of Resistant, Syncopation, Night Night Burn are my suggestions!!!
They were officially introduced on the 2010 October 10. An experiment that got out of hand. Formed by Su-metal (Susuka Nakamoto 12 years Vocalist ) also known as Queen-Su or true metal goddess. Moametal (Moa Kikuchi 11years Chorus) Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno 11years Chorus ) does not appear in the last concert of 2017, his retirement is announced in 2018. The musicians are known as Kami-Band (divine band or band of the gods). They create their own Kawaii-metal genre. Kawaii It is translated as tender, beautiful...., It is characterized by using everything that is considered tender pop, folk, rap, march,... everything that you cannot imagine, On a base of any metal. The only thing you can expect...... Is the unexpected. In Japan, minors under 15 years of age cannot go to concerts, which is why his first works are aimed at this audience, despite that, they reached a much larger audience. Their first work titled "Babymetal" is a compilation of early hits with more youthful and adult themes, the album "Metal Resistance" is more youthful adult, still using hooks for minors, The "Babymetal Galaxy" is more adult, using genres from all over the world. His fourth work "the other one" (The one, is the official name of the fans) It's a concept album " WELCOME TO FOXHOLE" #notacult
You'll find as you check out their musical catalog that they can be even heavier than this. I would recommend that you watch the live version's of their music, this is a band that is best experienced live. Enjoy your trip into the Foxhole 🦊🤘
Nice reaction. Welcome to a whole new world of music. Not sure what they're next song will sound like is the understatement of the decade. Nobody is sure But Su and Moa. And even they aren't sure until it's done. It's actually one of the cool things about Babymetal. Their music is a mix of Jpop melodies over a metal base with whatever they feel like putting in the middle. Sometimes there's several genres going at the same time. Not only do they mix the music. They also mix the dance styles they use while performing. All while Su the lead singer mixes vocal techniques and genres. All of this creates what Babymetal calls Kawaii Metal or Cute Metal. The other thing about them is that they are best known for their epic level performances. From the time they started they could get the best crowd participation. This was their first lyric video. Considering how good the visuals were, this came out as more of a regular music video. Babymetal does things their own way. And we're here for it. Enjoy the journey through the foxhole and into Babymetal's metalverse.
This is a super interesting thing that's happening right now. The lead singer, known as Su-Metal is about to turn 25. Which isn't really unusual. Except that she's been fronting this band for about 12 years now. As far as style, you're in for a helluva ride. This is maybe the most "traditional" style music they've ever put out. These insanities have been stirring genre after genre after genre into god-tier metal for over a decade, but it works. You'll almost never hear a Babymetal song and think that it reminds you of another Babymetal song. They're all so different, but every song is still somehow distinctly Babymetal. I'd suggest starting with: Divine Attack, the first single off their upcoming album, which is also where Monochrome is from. Megitsune, one of their earliest and still best tracks. and Road of Resistance (do Live in Japan), probably the most epic Babymetal video in existence. Hope you continue having a great time checking out one of theost eclectic metal bands you'll ever see! 🤘🦊🤘
The name Babymetal has various origins. As has been mentioned elsewhere, "Baby" as in "new" and Metal. Then you factor the girls were 12 and 10 years old when they first formed, 15 and 13 when they first started to really get it going. It's also a play on words. The Japanese pronounce Heavy as Hebi... so Hebi-metal.... they pronounce Babymetal as bebi.... so bebimetal. Hebimetal/Bebimetal.
I strongly recommend you go back through their discography and check out some of their live videos. Monochrome is a great song, but not really a very good one to start your BABYMETAL journey. BABYMETAL isn't just music, they are performance art, and you can't really experience them fully through a lyric video or really any video that doesn't feature the actual visual performance of Su and Moa (and Yui prior to 2018).
I'm Japanese .Thank for your nice reaction . There is no singer who has both beauty and good singing like Su-Metal (the lead singer of Babymetal) 'in Japan' , I think . She is 24years old now . She belongs to the biggest entertainment company in Japan and is a famous singer and talent from when a child . When you want to feel 'Cool Japan ' , Please listen 'BABYMETAL | Syncopation「シンコペーション」| LIVE Compilation (HQ)' th-cam.com/video/Odb9Zy0YdOc/w-d-xo.html(1.8Mviews)😀
I had a conversation with some Japanese tourists last week, and I told them about my trips from Australia to Japan to see Babymetal, and they had never heard of them. So I spoke with them a little bit more and hopefully convinced them to listen.
The monochrome firework is the atomic bomb on hiroshima , Babymetal is a play on the japanese characters where heavy and baby are a single stroke different. Also a new metal.
Although the sound is heavy and the vocals are sweet the subject of the song is deep . It's about the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 and the acid rain that fell as a result .
Why the name BABYMETAL? The name has three meanings that I know of: a) Play with words on heavy metal in Japanese. Others explained that already. b) During their very first live performance in 2010, the three girls were 11, 11 and 12 years old. c) The birth of a new genre. They call it kawaii (cute) metal.
Good reaction. Keep exploring BABYMETAL. It may change your life - no joke. BABYMETAL is a unique blend of crushing riffs and delicate, but powerful, female vocals. Their musical style varies to an insane degree across releases, but at the core of it always remains a metal heart with that devastating wall of drums, bass and guitars. Some of their early tracks, when they were much younger, are pure pop metal but they have matured into an extremely musically and conceptually interesting band. Their fans include Korn, Bring Me the Horizon, Rob Zombie, Metallica, RHCP, Rob Halford from Judas Priest and countless others. They have performed or done collabs with many of those. They did an absolutely devastating track with Bring Me the Horizon called 'Kingslayer'. Talking of fans, this fanbase is insane. You may see the #notacult hashtag used apparently ironically. Don't believe it. We tell ourselves it's not a cult but the amount of emotional investment in this band across all ages, races and genders is phenomenal. If you investigate songs like 'Road of Resistance' and 'Arkadia' you may, like thousands of grown-ass men, find that tears have appeared from somewhere. Always look for live versions if possible. Live is a world away from the studio stuff. Live is BABYMETAL's natural environment. Don't judge too much by any early videos you may see. The band has evolved and matured beyond measure. Some of the old songs have matured with them and sound better than they did originally.
the main thing you have to understand when talking about Babymetal is they were formed to ignite the metal scene in Japan. they were formed in 2010 when the lead singer was 12 years old and the other two girls were 11. they opened the door outside of Japan so other metal bands could have success. Lovebites, Band-Maid, Nemophila, and others have to thank Babymetal for even their success. they created their own genre of metal, kawaii(cute) metal. you actually started on wrong song even though this song is so good. you almost have to have knowledge of them to understand where this song comes in their history. they are a lot bigger than most think. the name was because they started their own genre, hince the word baby. live is where they shine. Su the lead singer is 10ft tall on stage with powerful stage presence. to see some shows where she is controlling 50,000 people is awesome to see.
Pull up a Wikipedia description to get some history about BABYMETAL. It will help you understand the comments and the type of music you will hear in future videos.
Good reaction, thanks and welcome to BABYMETAL. This is a very beautiful song with really deep lyrics built around a huge allegory with several layers of significance. A sad song actually but also with an optimistic ending. If you enjoyed heavy instrumentals combined with Su-metal's delicate although powerful vocals, you are at the right place. And wait until you see what are they capable of on their live shows... Just remember: always expect the unexpected and prepare to be surprised. (I say this a lot lately... hehehe...) And you can continue your BABYMETAL journey with this: "Headbanger" (Live at Legend 1997): th-cam.com/video/QEsOaMbNFww/w-d-xo.html Until next time!
I feel like Yuyoyuppe had to write this song. It sounds so much like a Vocaloid. Yuyoyuppe was a Vocaloid producer before he wrote songs for Babymetal. This song needs to be in the Sega Vocaloid video game Project Sekai with Hatsune Miku. Why not? Ado has songs and she's a real person.
I'm still unsure of what I think of Monochrome. It sounds great, but it just hasn't hit me like the first single for MR and MG. I'll 100% buy the new album but for the time being I'll reserve my judgement until I can listen to it in full. That being said, it's cool that you enjoyed it and hopefully you'll listen to more.
Just found this channel. Noice. About 1.5 mins in Cheez looks to camera and says, "That was unexpected." I loled. Record that phrase and stick it on a macro to save your vocal chords. You'll need to use it a lot for BM. For several decades since leaving college, I'd not deliberately listened to music at all. Nothing much new appealed to me, and although I do like some Classical, rock, jazz, blues music, it's not something I'd go out of my way to listen to. I tolerated music, rather than sought it out. Computer games (especially the Zelda titles) were more of an influence than the charts. And then I found out about Babymetal just shortly after their first album release here in the UK. In the years since, I estimate (probably conservatively) that I've spent about 6,000 hours listening to the (until recently) 3 albums. That's a lot of mileage per song (literally; as a lot of that was time spent commuting). And now there's a new Babymetal in town. And I spent most of an afternoon organising my phone, PC and iPod so that they made more sense and I could get all 4 albums on all of them. And I've not even listened to the new one yet. The only song I've already heard is this one. Just a tad nervous that I'll not like the new album as much, and also wanting to have the time to actually _listen_ to it rather than simply have it playing while I'm doing something else. Time will tell... Meantime, I have your reactions to look over and that's cool too.
Welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。You, Californian, have missed many chances to see BABYMETAL concerts held in your state including one big arena show at The Forum on Oct.11, 2019. You are receiving tons of information about BABYMETAL from many fans in various countries. Their activities have been worldwide since 2014. In the latest world tours from June 2019 through March 2020 (prior to COVID), they performed live 20 times in USA (in 18 states), 19 in Europe (11 countries) and 1 in Taiwan in addition to 15 in Japan. Last year, they held 10 serial big concerts here in Tokyo taking very strict countermeasures against infection. After an almost 1-year hiatus, they restarted their activities on April 1 this year. We are waiting for their new concerts in January 2023 and new album in March. Another plan to participate in Sabaton's Europe tour in April and May was announced. Please explore BABYMETAL more!
Please some one that already have a list of suggestion of songs to react and the video links! (I've seen that already in other channels ^^)! Please give this man that list so he dont have anymore video blocks and so he can react to the better versions of Babymetal 🤘💫
the video's imagery suggests some kind of bombing, hence some have guessed this is about the bombing of Hiroshima. The singer is, I believe, from there.
This song isn't the best song for an introduction to BABYMETAL. You really need to see a live performance to fully appreciated what you are hearing. Try Headbanger.
I really like baby metal but Lovebites are still the queens, but this is an amazing song, baby metal has performed on stage with Rob halfred, and another time Dragon force
Their band are pretty talented but their music and concept are not my thing, I can't get into that Japanese kawii stuff enough to like them. Just wanted to see your reaction.
I've been following you on your LOVEBITES videos and the truth is that this is one of the worst choices of song to make you start with BABYMETAL. I'd recommend you to see them in Road of Resistance or Akatsuki for example.

BABYMETAL was my start into the Japan Rock/Metal hole back in 2016! Su-Metal is in top form here. Can't wait for the album!!!

Yes but they are not kawaii metal anymore, this next album confirms it
Hi Cheezy. Good reaction! BABYMETAL is a fusion of heavy metal, J-pop vocals, and dance. The band was designed around Su-Metal's voice.
They are:
*SuMetal* (lead vocals).
*MoaMetal* (scream and dance)
*YuiMetal* (scream and dance, former member since 2018)
None of them are related.
Some recommendations for next songs like:
- _"Ijime, Dame, Zettai"_ live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 or...
Thanks for sharing this and hope to see you next time 🦊🤘🔥
I appreciate you Jake!
It will be HEAVY METAL if you listen to them, HAPPY METAL if you watch them, and I will be so happy if I can witness in real time the completion of a worldview that only they can create 😭.
this is better than any music made in america right now .this should be played on all th stations .
To do list:
Road of Resistance live "best crowd participation ever"
Rondo of nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live " heavy side, invite only arena"
Pa pa ya live " cardio"
Megitsune (music video) "this is what made them popular"
These would be a good start, don't get lost...every song is different
Yay! Baby Metal!! Was going to suggest these guys to you. They just released a new song Divine Attack which really rocks! Worth checking out!
Who is Babymetal you ask? To put it simply, these girls are the GOAT of Japanese rock/metal 🦊🤘
the single take version of this is amazing
They are different, but in a good way. First off, great honest reaction to them! It's always interesting to see people react to Babymetal for the first time! Ok, their live performances are where it's at. You can really see how much of a show they put on and you can see the Kami band just kill it. Their crowd participation is also insane in my opinion... like, they have some DEDICATED fans which is awesome! All of this will make sense once you watch one live performance.
I would recommend checking out Karate and/or Megitsune live, just to get started... anyway, looking forward to the next one!!!
Babymetal loves to surprise. 🙂 They are definitely different, not your usual metal band.
The name was chosen for two reasons:
- to symbolize that they gave birth to a new genre of metal music (kawaii metal - kawaii meaning cute as in adorable, like a box of puppies)
- because the writing (and pronunciation) in Japanese is nearly identical to the writing of "heavy metal" (and they love a pun):
BABYMETAL = ベビーメタル (be-bi-me-ta-ru)
heavy metal = ヘビーメタル (he-bi-me-ta-ru)
They have over 50 songs now and you will be hard pressed finding any two alike.
Thanks for the info my friend!
Well, that saved me a lot of typing! 🤟🏻
Welcome to the BABYMETAL Galaxy. You just found the most unique, talented, beautiful, humble, and respectful people on the planet. BABYMETAL shines brightest when they are Live. So hopefully you jump down the FOX hole some more and enjoy the journey. 🤘🦊🤘
Welcome!🤘🦊♪
Thanks for the info Tony!
@@Cheezyxyz On the Babymetal Reactor Resource channel click on the video titled 'Future Plans' and read the description to find links to good live performances of nearly all their songs plus guidance on how you can use them so your reactions will not be blocked.
Also - Moa is “Damn fine” ❤
Lol
BABYMETAL FOREVER
🤘🤘🤘
All hail the Fox God
I think Babymetal is one of the first Metal bands to make it big in the West in the early 2000’s.
I can't wait to hear the live version of this. Hideki Aoyama (drummer) is going to absolutely KILL IT.
I can only respectfully suggest, if you intend to explore the World of BABYMETAL, you go way back to the beginning and watch their evolution. Monochrome is sublime.
The back-catalogue? Well, you'll see 😁 The One will be dropping by with all the info you require. Kitsune da o 🦊🤘
yup, The One are prepping the info parcels as we type ;-)
welcome to the wonderful Babymetal world - revel in it, dude - it's superb, sometimes bizarrely confusing, but so rewarding.
If u want to know the band, listen Rondo of Nightmare... you"ll like.
That is weird they blocked you on Papaya, but at least got got to see what they are like live as that is what they are, a live performance group, just hearing the music you are only getting half the product and most would agree the lead singer Su-metal always sounds better live than after they have processed her voice on the recordings. It is an interesting time to check out Babymetal as their long awaited new album is about to drop next year and they have another three tracks that will be released before the album.
please more babymetal!!🤘🏻🔥
Welcome to the Foxhole indeed!! Every song represents a different metal style!!! Incredible musicians and amazing shows!! Live versions are always better!! Headbanger, Road of Resistant, Syncopation, Night Night Burn are my suggestions!!!
They were officially introduced on the 2010 October 10. An experiment that got out of hand. Formed by
Su-metal (Susuka Nakamoto 12 years Vocalist ) also known as Queen-Su or true metal goddess.
Moametal (Moa Kikuchi 11years Chorus)
Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno 11years Chorus ) does not appear in the last concert of 2017, his retirement is announced in 2018.
His fourth work "the other one" (The one, is the official name of the fans) It's a concept album
" WELCOME TO FOXHOLE"
#notacult
You'll find as you check out their musical catalog that they can be even heavier than this. I would recommend that you watch the live version's of their music, this is a band that is best experienced live. Enjoy your trip into the Foxhole 🦊🤘
You should check out their older songs I recomend Headbanger Live 🦊🤘
I'd suggest starting with:
Divine Attack, the first single off their upcoming album, which is also where Monochrome is from.
This wasnt super heavy at all , but I think it was just a lovely song. I really liked it. A nice kick back and chill song :)
❤️🔥
Out of all BABYMETAL songs that I like, Syncopation is still my favorite. And I really can't pinpoint why.
I had a conversation with some Japanese tourists last week, and I told them about my trips from Australia to Japan to see Babymetal, and they had never heard of them. So I spoke with them a little bit more and hopefully convinced them to listen.
The monochrome firework is the atomic bomb on hiroshima ,
Babymetal is a play on the japanese characters where heavy and baby are a single stroke different. Also a new metal.
they were 11 and 13 when they became global superstars.
I think thats why hteyre Babymetal
Babymetal is also an insane group, Road of Resistance Live in Japan is also a fan favourite show. Quoting another reactor "Dragonforce on steroids"
It's literally Dragonforce, for that matter, as Herman Li and Sam Totman from Dragonforce cowrote and performed the album version!
Ok their newest, check out their old stuff to dig into when they started when they were like 14 years old they look like babies IE Babymetal
1:46 always surprised! Hehehe
Although the sound is heavy and the vocals are sweet the subject of the song is deep .
It's about the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 and the acid rain that fell as a result .
Thanks for sharing!
🖤🖤🖤
Why the name BABYMETAL? The name has three meanings that I know of:
a) Play with words on heavy metal in Japanese. Others explained that already.
b) During their very first live performance in 2010, the three girls were 11, 11 and 12 years old.
c) The birth of a new genre. They call it kawaii (cute) metal.
Karate is still one of my absolute favorites from them
Welcome to Babymetal. We are 10 years late in the journey of this amazing group. However, it's better late than never. Welcome to the foxhole.
Thanks Rick!
the main thing you have to understand when talking about Babymetal is they were formed to ignite the metal scene in Japan. they were formed in 2010 when the lead singer was 12 years old and the other two girls were 11. they opened the door outside of Japan so other metal bands could have success.
Thanks for the info Ray!

Pull up a Wikipedia description to get some history about BABYMETAL. It will help you understand the comments and the type of music you will hear in future videos.
Not sure about this. I was having trouble getting into it. Perhaps more exposure is needed.
(I say this a lot lately... hehehe...)
And you can continue your BABYMETAL journey with this: "Headbanger" (Live at Legend 1997): th-cam.com/video/QEsOaMbNFww/w-d-xo.html
Until next time!

That being said, it's cool that you enjoyed it and hopefully you'll listen to more.

welcome to Fox Hole!!
