i have a deauville 650 , a versys 650 and a cbr1100xx bb.The only tires without tire chicken strips, is the deauville. Fantastic machine. Comfortable,(even two up) practical and despite its bad specs even able to overtake anything but sporty vehichles.
I have two Deauvilles, the older 650cc models and a grey import from Japan called the Honda Bros which shares the same engine but is a lightweight with chain drive and single sided swinging arm, a real giant killer on the B roads with its tiny little race derived frame and superb handling, the Honda Bros is one that got through the net and was sadly overlooked.
I wonder if it were fins or pegs scraping... Should be pegs, but that was insane enough to question that. Great video, proving that 99% of riders would not be able to push past performance similar to the Deauville. Which brings a question - is there even a point buying something sportier for most of us? Because that kind of riding on a general road would be suicidal, and most sport bike owners have seen a track only on tv
The only time I have ever been on a track I was sat in a train . As great a a deuville is and I have just bought one after having an old ntv 650 and in more recent years s transalp 600 . They have their limitations they lack the vast amount of power available to safely over take cars that a bike with say 90 bhp will have however I am fully aware of that they are a nice relaxing bike to ride and will return 60mpg cruising at 60mph and no messy drive chain to maintain . I want to settle down to the posted speed limit to keep my license clean and just chill out on the road . They are also nice and light compared to most other shaft driven touring bikes . With a top box and top and bottom wind deflectors fitted to the fareing they are a very practical proposition . One more thing they are pretty much only suitable for solo touring add a pillion and it will bog them down .
@@harrykuntz878 I do not know about them being light... I have never tried picking one up, but sitting on top of one it really does not feel all that different from my FJR1300. Stationary lean angles are almost the same, and when moving, weight disappears for both of them. Yamaha does feel a bit heavier, but nowhere to the level of knowing that it is 100kg / 200 pounds heavier with a full tank. Picking up an FJR1300 from the ground does suck in the extreme though, and you do have to plan your traffic stops, as you can not really push it around very quickly. On the plus side, 60mph is barely above idling in 5th on it, and you do get 50+ mpg at that speed.
Que gran piloto, sin duda mejor que los otros dos, en las curvas les machacaba y los demás en las rectas, grande piloto el de la honda deauville, y muy valiente
i hope you didn't dare to get your stuff out of the sidecases before casually going to the track and showing them how this old warhorse fares in the battle :D
Just goes to show, it is the rider that makes more difference than the bike.

I bought an old deauville just before Christmas and am selling my GSXR750 as a result.

Outstanding! Never seen one of those do that before...I hope your pillion was okay with the detour!
Excellent! I have always had a soft spot for the Deauville, great riding mate.
Faut toujours se méfier d'une Deauville bien pilotée. ✌😁👍chapeau au pilote
Brilliant. The 'Dullville' name is not justified. A great video, thanks for sharing.
Brillliant! Touchdown on every corner!
Exactly my thought, no bike is boring, it is in the hands of the rider!
Scraping pegs on a deauville is maddness
Ha, top work! And I bet you had nice toasty warm hands too!

Circuit de croix en Ternois
Chapeau...je vais arrêter de me chercher des excuses avec ma veille !
THIS IS GREAT YOU REALLY KNOW HOW TO PUSH THIS BIKE
Mdrrrr trop bien , j'aurais trop voulu être a ta place !!!!
Ace pilot on the Deauville as match and even beat well more powerful bikes especially with sick corners 🤙
Im sure i could head bits of the bike scraping the floor on the corner 😊 awesome
Génial !!! j'imagine la tête des mecs en sportives ahahahah
J'ai moi même une deauville mais loin d'avoir ton talent...
Amazing!!
Intresting

Did you get your flask of weak lemon tea out after, looking at one tomorrow now I know that they can booggie
Fuck you are fast as hell.
Regarding the 2 sports bikes, too much bike and not enough rider
What tires were you using?
Insane. Just yesterday we went on a ride with the '99 Deauville and were thinking we were goin fast, but damn
He used Michelin Pilot road 4 😅
@@Sullio u being serious? Thats not even a really sticky tire XD
cant imagine him using some sportier tires O.o
@@someguy9520 yeah, this Guy's job is motocycle tyres seller. He knows about it lol
- We then saw the rider of the Suzuki motorcycle crying on the edge of the track and putting on a smoked visor to hide!!
Rider rules, the others, well...
gosh, any footpegs left :)
Eres una makinaaa es las curvas te lo pasaste grandeee you are thee best

Must've taken the side cases off.
On this bike you can't remove them easily
HAHA Poor Gixxerdriver :P
