I'm in the UK,and I think Thomas offers some of the best reviews on the internet.He knows what he's talking about,also,having watched him actually handle a car,he's very sympathetic in the way he controls it; I suspect he's from a motorsport background? Also,silly and unnecessary drag races don't feature as part of his reviews, unlike some popular journalists in this country. He sticks to the facts,and given that English is not his first language he does a really first class job.
Thank you Thomas for not sticking only to mid or high end cars, but also cost effective ones. Great videos and amazing job! 👌👌👌

I really wish Hyundai sold this in America. It's one of their best designs, and I love the interior and two-tone exterior. I would by one ASAP, take my money Hyundai!

Interior design and ergonomy is what VW used to be: simple, easy to use, organized
Built quality and interior design looks like the one from European makers like Skoda or Peugeot with much better manufacturers warranty. Good job Hyundai!
Closer to Peugeot, Skodas at that price range have a pretty bad interior.

@@leoipek8143 Sadly my GTE Hybrid has not been all that reliable. Disappointed as I wanted VW ID3 but struggling to justify it!
But Hyundai's are not that great when come to driving dynamics and control
hyundai , knows what the customers really want . good thing , they included physical climate controls , instead of that gimmick touch climate controls

Very impressed with this car, making good style and function available to everyone or those who may not be able to afford the big brands, and refreshing to see. And it really is a lovely looking car, love how everything contrasts so well, in some ways they have designed interior function much better than those manufacturers you would expect it from. Hyundai i20 brings a remarkable revolution. I own a Hyundai i20 1.25L Kappa MPi (84 PS) Go, it just turned 6 y.o. last month. I would like to change it into a Hybrid Kona or the model you have tested. Congratulations Thomas, your drive tests are great, not to mention the usefulness. Vielen Dank fur Ihre liebenswurdigkeit! Great in depth review Thomas, as always. Looks great to my eyes and seems to drive well. Maybe some of the plastics excepted, it looks like a much more premium vehicle than you would normally expect for the price and segment. Looks like Hyundai and Kia are becoming a real force to be reckoned with in the automotive sector.

Good you can choose an automatic transmission for the MHEV system on the Hyundai i20. On the Ford Fiesta the MHEV system is only available with a manual transmission.

Good review Thomas :) I really like the look of this car inside and out. It seems Hyundai have thought about the tech and what works for a driver - nice digital displays to access a lot of information if you need it but easy to use buttons where it matters. I haven't seen pricing on this yet so it will be interesting where its pitched, but I would be worried if I was another manufacturer, this is a very impressive car.

After watching the review so glad I bought a fabia Monte Carlo yesterday after watching your other review, and not waiting for the i20 which was on my list.
Fabia 3 is in my heart 'cause I had one for 4 years (a mid trim).
Too bad that they don't put a more powerfull engine like 1.4 or 1.5 tsi

My Monte is the estate with £3500 of options fitted, including the 110 engine, it only has 70 miles on the clock , but already love it.

South Korean brands are rising! As we see are better in quality and performance, i have owned one kia stonic diesel and i'm very pleased in a daily city use. In 2004 i have owned a diesel 1.9 tdi sport polo, but today if i have to choose between the new polo and this one :) no doubts! Great Thomas review and his Team. Regards from Portugal.

Dear Autogefühl-Team, thanks as always for that deeply and balanced presentation of Hyundais new i20, but please it would be fantastic to see a review about the Renault Clio V E-Tech hybrid. After a test-drive, that car seems to be as capable as Toyotas hybrids or even better.

what do you think in comparison with the honda jazz? why this mild hybrids still have a relative high fuel consumption?
The two-tone style with dark red body and black roof reminds me of a Toyota Yaris (third-gen) and the lines across the engine start button remind me of a Lexus LS. =)
But the car looks pretty interesting. The sporty N-Line version looks cool in white. =)
Liked the last 2 i20s from a looks perspective. Make it electric, make it a hot hatch, that'll be a killer car. Good luck Hyundai

I have just purchased the i20 n line 120 ps and am really pleased with it and the specification, this video confirms my thoughts on the overall package of this particular car. Great review like how you do the door test I like a solid door sound. I love the exterior design quite sporty but I can't get inthusiastic about the interior I think it lets it down.

I think the front is inspired by the new Audi A1. it also seems to me this deep red is the best color for this car. Overall an attractive package for the money, well done Hyundai.

Just a question on the DCT - I am looking at purchasing this car with the DCT transmission, but I have not found much information regarding what it feels like taking off from traffic lights, city traffic, taking off on an uphill. What is your opinion on this? Same as a DSG or better/worse?

Très belle présentation et la plus complète. Dommage que c'est en allemand car je ne comprends pas la langue. Comme écrit dans un commentaire précédent, j'attends ma i20 mhev sky 7DCT qui me sera livrée le 15/06/22. Je ne sais pas si l'intérieur sera le même (foncé au-dessus/clair en dessous) qui est très belle ainsi. En tout cas, j'espère que ma i20 sera ainsi.

Better safety features for this segment. The dashboard and the rear end are too busy for my liking. It is reliable. Have been driving it for the past 8 years and never had issues. Thanks for the great reviews Thomas and the crew

Automakers should go "back" to using regular torque converter automatic transmissions
Hyundai, if you're reading this, your transmission is too jerky.
Volkswagen: we're sick and tired of your DSG always trying to behave more like a conventional transmission, the 8-speed ZF transmission is just as fast and efficient as a dual clutch, but the torque converter makes it smoother and faster at taking off

Love the exterior, not a fan of the interior - the dashboard shapes, the vents on the dash, the door trim... it all looks very mid-2000’s. The speaker grilles on the door remind me of my old 2001 Ford Focus.

Indeed because thats what manufacturers give us. Sometimes we have the chance to pick lower trims, and then we do. See upcoming Audi Q2 review Tuesday

If you are an enthusiast MT, if you are an enthusiast with a lot of traffic drives IMT, if you want comfort with fun DCT, if you want reliable transmission CVT
