Hi. Love this video and thank you for sharing. I have just started my photography journey and I am wondering how long I should practice before offering a free shoot in order to start building portfolio please?
I honestly really love how you’re not afraid to shoot in landscape mode. So many photographers shame that almost for portraits but your photos are always gorgeous!!!!
Hi Jessica! I loooveee this video! I'm having my very first couple shoot in two months and im sooo nervous... Dont know anything about posing couples, how to not make it awkward af and how to start and get the conversation going. This video helped a LOT!
This video is 18:30 long. My intro was 2:30 long, including necessary information to frame this session as well as an advertisement with a company I have used personally for 2+ years. For a 18:30 FREE video, 2:30 intro is extremely good. It’s a blessing for me to be sponsored on a video like this because it takes me about 10 hours to make, for you, for FREE. I don’t understand what there is to complain about, there’s 16 minutes of a free photography tutorial other photographers would charge you for either in a workshop, mentoring session, or not share with you at all.
The timing for this video could not be more perfect. Theses are some awesome pose ideas and I'm totally using them all in my spring engagements next month. 😍
Not my fav location but the photos are so beautiful! 😩 also I really like what you’re saying about keeping your energy up. I work in retail and it’s like hand in hand in making sales, have fun and make their day, you’re customer servicing them as you’re shooting them, and making it fun for them. Love that 😌
Jessica! where did you get your coat?? It is absolutely adorable!! This video is so much fun and gave me so much inspiration for my next couples photoshoot!
Great video and totally digging your energy. Where you really snapping shots in the beginning because you never held the camera still for even a second..?? lol
Hi Jessica, you have a beautiful talent. Thank you for sharing it with us. I really like the video section at the beginning. Did you need a tripod for this and also did you use manual focus for it? I am a photographer but haven't tried video so far - this inspires me to give it a go.
Jessica this is so beautiful! I would LOVE to see your camera setting (Shutter Speed, aperture, ISO) when you show the images in your video. I own the Sigma 35 mm 1.4 art and have sent it back twice for repair and still no luck with crisp beautiful images like these. Any help/ tips would be greatly appreciated. xoxo
thank you so so much! i actually don't really show camera settings on my YT video but for settings etc and editing, workflow, etc i have that all in my online workshop!
1252PFC this video is a tutorial and I am talking a TON about all 5 tips, extremely in depth. More in depth than most people but the details matter. You were told at the start these are some of my friends and so it’s a little silly, the tips are all there. I don’t teach editing on TH-cam as much anymore but I have a lot of old videos on editing if you’d like.

Showing client images is so important! Energy is unmatched lol great video!
Love this video! Did you shoot in 1.4 for the entire shoot?
I wanna know too!!
Lovely 😍 jessi
Which lens used?
JESSICA THESE PICTURES CAME OUT AMAZING!!!! I absolutely love your energy and your personality you were made for this!!!
what is the camera and lens?
also yall i am not sure why sometimes the audio sounds fuzzy, we used a mic like normal and it didn't sound like this in my editing software :/
Jessica Whitaker what kind of mic do you use? I’ve been searching for a good one!
I feel like it's when you start squealing/yelling, which maxes the audio levels out, causing distortion.

thank you so so so much! i am so happy this helps!
Wish I had control over my focussing like you do! :/
Use back button focus. I tend to hold this button down while people are constantly moving around and I get better focus.
@@juangiraud6013 thankyou, will try
Where do you focus when the couple is doing “bumper cars” and is your f stop still low doing that as well??
Literally loved this video so much! Probably my favorite video I’ve watched of yours
omg thank you so so much!

Your so slippery right now
Too talk... not much learning. Too much screaming and cute, cute, cute...
What about your camera settings or post editing?

It's a posing video not a editing or settings video.
Squarespace gets on my nerves. I understand that you guys need sponsors, but they exaggerate it.
