I need to acknowledge you first Beth...your efforts and musical soul allow so many of us to witness this amazingness. Thank you for that. This performance is a signature by an artist. JBS, Stu, Dick Daddy, whatever the moniker...his art is magnificent. I will find you at a concert one fine day and thank you personally my dear.
From a fellow Blue Skies Traveller I third geoffhowarsds beautiful words - BST: Bodhisatva Level - Cacidy. Hope to see some of you all in Ireland. You’ll know me when you see me. If I don’t get a chance to catch another US Tour stop before then…
I can’t tell you how many songs he has that feel like I could’ve written them myself and are 100% applicable to some of my life scenarios. This reminds me of a neighbor of mine she moved away when she got cancer and I haven’t been able to find anything about her since. This song would make perfect sense if this is how it went and how real and raw Sturgill always is. We love you man. JBS ❤️
Right! You can tell he's self conscious about the big share. Glad he got some validation. I "found" the Waylon version of Sturgill, stayed for this spiritual side of the music and the man✨✌🏻✨
There’s no happy endings to stories that end before they’re through… god damn sturgil. Thanks for posting. Absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful simultaneously..
I’m with you, you’re not crazy at all… this song killed me the first 20 times I forced my way through it. Helped me release a lot of pain and it actually is part of my daily healing journey now. As a person who lost family friends comrades to suicide … man… one day I hope we connect again out in the universe somewhere
This band!!! I have a feeling they are just getting started w JBS. The chemistry between them all is incredible and I feel like this is exactly what Sturgill wants after “his” five albums. A full band that can pool together their creativity and create something beautiful. Putting together a different setlist every night and then improvising every night is not something just any band can do. And the ones who do it usually stay together for a long time ❤
this song is amazing. as a mid 30s man, it brings me to tears almost every time i listen to it. so beautiful. captures so much of the human range of emtions. we really are so lucky to have sturgil. what a shining light in a dark world. one love!
Revisiting this song and every damn time he gets me tearing up watching him pour his soul out for us

This song has been stuck in my head. Miss those passed on souls.

This album is some of my favorite music sturgill has ever done. Absolutely incredible
It’s the best thing he’s ever done
This song has a lot of love in it.
Sturgill and I have a lot in common. The “Hell Yeah Brother” guy at the 2:55 mark healed me.

The fact he threw in a Big Lebowski reference before he gutted my heart made it a little easier. And I take comfort in that.

Who doesn’t like this song? This is exactly the type of song he’s the best at

This is one of the greatest songs he's ever written.
This is the one we’ve all been waiting to see. Thanks for recording!

Hell Yeah!
Shoutout on the Beavis and Butthead tank. And of course the performance
Unbelievable 🥹❤️
I had some trouble interpreting his intro. Was that in reference to the person who inspired this song?
I believe so. The girl he’s writing about seems to have been reaching out to him.
@@danielfoley5843, in his concert last Friday he said she was a friend that had committed suicide.
lol my ex told me that same shit … that was enough, I’m out …. Love ur work n the insight 🎉❤
