The NFL needs to put a cap what quarterbacks get paid I love your show guys. Build around Tua? He has the players he needs. The problem is the players don't have the QB they need.
Everyone keeps saying Tua hasn’t won a playoff game instead of saying the Dolphins hasn’t won a playoff game. Wins and losses are not quarterback stats, it’s team stats. Offense, defense, special teams, coaching, injuries all play a factor. That KC loss wasn’t on Tua or any other single player. Injuries, coaching/play calling, extreme weather conditions are all contributing factors to the play and execution of all players. People have putting both the wins and losses the quarterback.
Great stuff, guys! Love the show, Alain but i absolutely love when Perk is on. People who point to the injuries seem to forget that this team was losing before the injuries started. Way before cold weather games. I know they have speed but They're not in the big boy conversation.
I'd like to see a special (bonus) episode with you and Hyde discussing the Panthers season (including how the Fins could emulate the successful blueprint provided by the Cats).
IMO, that physical team Perk wants starts with the OLine and a more direct Mano a Mano blocking scheme. It ends with a dominant defense in the crunch, generating more turnovers.
We should wait to pay Tua a long term contract it just makes to much sense. If they're wrong for and have to overpay him next year that means Tua balled out as they hoped and I can live with that
The unspoken is if Tua plays on 5th year option and balls out. The Relationship may be fractured 2 where Tua wants 2 explore open market. There will be 2-3 teams that will over pay for Tua.
“Building a team around a QB” never works. It will ultimately come down to the QB making the right play. 49er built around Jimmy G and ultimately came down to Jimmy G making the right decision (play) in the SB. Tua isn’t good enough and no amount if “building around him” will work
“Over paid” is subjective. FACTUALLY there’s no “over paying” “the market is the market” for a FRANCHISE QB. You’re worth what someone is willing to pay. Perhaps they don’t think he’s a franchise QB but if the DO think he is, like they’ve said repeatedly. Then pay him the MARKET price for a FRANCHISE QB.
You impose your will in football with o line and d line. The dolphins are loaded at RB. But losing Hunt and Williams are big losses as are Wilkins and McMillan on D. To me, this season will come down to how they fill those holes. And Tua has to be the reason for some big late season games
no team is going to reset the QB market and the player will never take a massive discount because they have a union and agents telling them for the player after them they have to set the table
The market value only goes up.if you win and dont get hurt, the Phins have done everything for Tua so make him play amd prove it. Otherwise, he can kick rocks. Its a win, win situation for Miami.
Anyone else notice that Alan loves to isolate each one of Tua's accomplishments and then point to an inferior quarterback who has done the same singular thing? Look up the list of quarterbacks who have led the NFL in passing yards and passer rating at points in their careesr, I think you might all be surprised.
Yup, he did that with the Jameis Winston stat of leading in passing yards like he loves to do. As if Tua is ever going to throw 30 ints in a season lol. Tua led the league in passing yards AND was top 5 in passer rating, that is impressive. Jameis that year he led in passing yards (2019) had a 84.3 passer rating compared to Tuas 101.1 last year. To compare is just lazy
Cool the dolphins put up a shit ton of yards against bad teams, the problem is they don’t do it against playoff teams and Tua especially does not play good
Every episode man lol. The inconsistency with his arguments is irritating but I enjoy the show in general so I still watch. Last episode on Omar’s channel it was pointing out how some of Tua’s stats took a step back and this was evidence he wasn’t actually better last year than the year before. When Quinnen Williams came up moments later and Omar said Williams had a statistically inferior season to Christian Wilkins last year, Poup quips ‘stats aren’t everything’. Lol
@@corydg____ Yup! Usually high yardage and passer rating don't coincide. QBs who led the league in passer rating and yardage at any point in their careers... Peyton Manning Aaron Rodgers Tom Brady Dan Marino Steve Young Phillip Rivers Kurt Warner Drew Brees Tua Tagovailoa
@@ethanhoward9327 all of Tuas company on that list are current and future Hall of Famers and it’s a short list. I’m not even suggesting that Tua will make it to the HOF, but people are that pretending half the qbs in the league could do better than Tua if they were the qb. It’s wild, people really acting like he’s the first qb to ever have elite weapons around him.
Grier built everything for Tua. The play calling is for Tua. The timing is for Tua. They did everything for Tua and they don't want to give him the money. This is how the Dolphins have operated for years. They make these moves and then figure out their guy isn't their guy, but the entire offense was built for not their guy. I think the offense would be fine without Tua with the players they have. Its the offensive design they could throw out most of it.
If tua #bets on himself that fire 🔥 will win the division title and get him a 200 million dollar contract. The Miami dolphins have explosive tight ends now and more speed by drafting Washington and wright #betonyourself just demand chris Grier signs the best left guard available. 📰🐬🏈📺📈💨😐
We are focusing too much on the dollars. What about the fact that having not signed him yet, you can already see the drama and distraction it is causing. If that goes all year, I don't see how this team reaches it's potential. Then you are throwing away a season you should be trying to win to save a little bit of money... not a trade off I'd be looking to make
Here's one question that never comes up (but should): Why is only on the Dolphins to get a deal done and give Tua what he wants as opposed to Tua accepting what the Dolphins are offering or maybe meeting somewhere in the middle?
OK… name 5 other QBs besides Tua… Mahomes, Allen (not as accurate but he’s Allen) Stroud…and MAYBE Dak, maybe Jackson, maybe a 2018 vintage Rodgers… and maybe Goff. Hurts has the tools, but not consistent accuracy. Purdy has a better coach, OLine, defense, and system.
What QB doesn’t have a system that caters to their strengths seriously what are we doing here?? Also why isn’t Tyreek held to the same standards he did the Dolphins no favors against those playoffs team that you guys love to point out for Tua. You guys are hypocrites.
Not every QB can win, yet it seems like every QB is getting paid massive amounts. Are we sure Goff or Lawrence can "get it done" as you say you are unsure about Tua? Why is that the standard he has to clear when other QBs are getting paid before they have won anything...
For the record, and I say this on the podcast in a previous episode, I didn't get the Goff deal in the least (from a Lions standpoint) because he's not elite to me and we know who he is as an NFL QB by now. We could also question the Lawrence, the only difference there being his NFL ceiling is still to be determined.
Tyrek being overly excited to play his former team had nothing to do with tyrek getting jammed /locked at the line of scrimmage against LaMarcus Sneed 😂😂😂😂😂poupart makes excuses for everyone except for tua...every episode it's dude he has th fastest team ever assembled but yet when those guys doesn't show up and play to their caliber he never talks as loud about how they themselves did not live up to who they are😂😂😂we get it you don't believe tua is great but gee whiz everything isn't about tua
Actually 😂😂😂😂 pay attention better next time 😂😂😂😂 because I talked about Tyreek being overhyped 😂😂😂😂 for the game in Germany and NOT the playoff game 🙄🙄🙄🙄
@alldolphinspodcast and my point is even in that particular game saying he was overly hyped is an excuse, and your energy towards other "excuses" does not match the energy you give towards tyrek "energy"
Both Popart & Chris Perkins are 2 Rua Haters Nothing should Suprise you They Have Never been on Board with Tua as their Franchise QB 1 drools over Justin Herbert & other Clamors for Josh Allen but Guess what Neither will do Anything this Year because their Supporting Cast is Non Existent & in the NFL if you don't have a Supporting cast your Hot Garbage but I forgot same Rules don't apply to other Franchise QBs only to Tua!
FINALLY!!! THANK YOU PERK 🔥🔥🔥
Alain keep blowing this channel up, I’ll keep supporting bud
Man, Ole man. I don't know when Perk saw the light, but this has been a pleasure to hear. Love seeing you guys. Great show.
Better late than never... Awesome episode. Thanks Alain and Mr Perkins...
These two are the bomb 💣 together SALUTE! 🚬

Thank you as always, really great episode. Wanted to show a little appreciation. Have a great week sir.

Great show Poup! I’m hesitant to pay Tua the money but I have a feeling he’s gonna go nuts this year.
Great show thanks guys 👍
Great job guys. Thanks for
We still here 🎉❤
Perk a breath of fresh air...and I do not remember Omar saying for Tua to play out his option
If i recall correctly, it was RB Thurman Thomas🤔
IMO, that physical team Perk wants starts with the OLine and a more direct Mano a Mano blocking scheme. It ends with a dominant defense in the crunch, generating more turnovers.
Quite a few QBs received contracts a year early, i like the approach by Grier his clock is ticking.
Perk if that is your opinion then we are most likely looking for a new QB and should start the rebuild now
We should wait to pay Tua a long term contract it just makes to much sense. If they're wrong for and have to overpay him next year that means Tua balled out as they hoped and I can live with that
The team also didn't have Ramsey in the 1st part of season either. That makes a difference as well in those loses.
Dolphins were 5-2 without Ramsey.
@@alldolphinspodcastYes… but with a fairly weak schedule.
Dolphins will still be known as the finesse team until they show different. The offense has to be more vertical rather than horizontal. IMO
I assume Perk knows the stat concerning the Fins horrible pass defense on the road.
Why did Omar leave? Btw, no issues cuz Perk is great!!!

These (4) teams at minimum, all would pay Tua 50+ right now and more likely to be added after 2024 season. In my opinion.
