- Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 SUV Bricking itself needs to be figured out. electrify America plug in sharing - kinda works, kinda doesn't.

When you showed the car not going into drive, the green “Ready” indicator in the dash was not on. This means the car is in accessory mode and not on. It automatically shuts down to this position after you sit for a while or when you exit the vehicle even with it “on”. It has happened to me before I got used to it.
You are correct. Happened a few times. Very frustrating.
Immediate fix - power down. Wait a couple seconds. Firm on brake and button and zero issue

Drove EQS yesterday. Of course impressed w drive,ride,quality and interior. Not so much exterior. Mostly charge at home, but road trip would be a concern for sure. Supercharging spoils us. Love the light show at night on inside. That being said still conflicted. Don’t want to buy another Tesla and deal w the quality issues. Want an SUV.
A question, can you have the backup camera on while driving for a rear view mirror? Love that in my Tesla ?

I'm still torn. But still have a model X and 3. So road tripping in those.
Ride quality, build quality, customizing, etc - EQS all day. Massage seats, Head up display, opening moon roof, auto pilot that is often better than Tesla.
But Tesla is way more efficient and super charging network unmatched

I have a model 3 with FSD and was thinking of trading for this. I don’t care about FSD but I rely on the lane keep. How is the Mercedes with staying in the lane? I test drove one and it seemed terrible, but maybe there was something wrong with the sensors.
Is google map under android auto shown in full central 17.7 screen size or only show part of the screen? Does it also shown in the driver screen and head up display ? Thank you
Android auto is about 12x12 - not entire screen. But the satellite map is entire screen. Looks good
Interestingly I have found in 5-6 Electrify America I have had to go to the second connection 3 times. A couple EA stops multiple pumps out of service. Not sure why. When it works it is great.

Are you seeing any premature inner rear tire wear on your plaid S or X? If so, are you going to do anything to solve that?

The interior of the Mercedes’ screens are pretty. But seems overwhelming. So much going on. I guess I’m just used to my Model S.
literally traded my model S plaid for this. overall hard feelings about it. For daily driving without the need to super charge - this is the way to go. For travelling, 100000% use a Tesla.
I still have my Model X and Model 3. Will never get rid of those.
What if you have a portable ev powerbank charger? Would that could do better than a Tesla?
Would require a HUGE portable battery

Good review comparing to the Tesla and Mercedes. I have a Tesla S & X. That Mercedes definitely has more features and perks.
I ultimately sold it after 10k miles and went back to an X Plaid

4:20 - Model X Plaid starts at $107.5K. Mercedes EQS SUV 580 starts at $126K. The Model X Plaid is NOT more expensive than the EQS SUV 580. Not even close.
That said, the Model X should definitely have a HUD. Tesla owners have asked. Elon's just being petulant about allowing them.

I have the same car, just tried an Electrify America 350kw, and it only pulled 115kw... so what's with the 350kw? 115kw will take a while to fill up!
It's a EA thing, not a car thing. I literally just sold my eqs and am back in a Model X Plaid
