I have a 91 soft top in good condition except the window is scratched do you have to replace the whole top or can you replace just the plastic window?

From what I've figured out, the original quality is still way better than the best you can buy as a replacement. For some reason the best replacements are twillfast ii, nobody offers the original twillfast iv.
ii has cotton on the inner layer, like how is that a good idea? No way it will last long.
All I need is to add a few stitches, and figure out if i can dismantle the frame underneath it enough to get access
Beautiful job, can you tell me if the screws are all the same size? I had to have 4 screws down the sides shortened because they were poking into the cover when it was down.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I used your video step by-step to replace the top on my 2001 C5. I purchased the least expensive top that I could find and it didn't have all the markings that you mentioned. As a result of that (and the fact that I'm not handy), I ended up with wrinkles/on the drivers side and a little bit of pouchiness behind the rear window. The top that I installed is made of vinyl. I really had a tough time with it (albeit a much easier time if I didn't have your video to use). Do you have any suggestions for how to remove those wrinkles (not small) and the pouchiness? I am trying to avoid removing all of the staples along the back (which I worry is the only way to fix it).
Also, I ended up also replacing the headliner, so if you have any videos on replacing the headliner along with the top, it may help future folks that watch this video.

Yes it is all depend the weather if it is hot dry fast 15-50 second if it is cool 30-seconds - 2 minutes

How do I tighten the screws on hinges that fold the top into place. Some are very difficult to get to so you can tighten...

Just have a couple of questions. What size staples did you say you used? And what size rivets? Also what type of glue and where do you buy it?
Daré staple the radius of stainless steel 3/8 by 3/8, that's rivett that I use is 3/8 thickness , glue neme "Landau gue' and you can buy all that at any upholstery supplies in the United States.

What do you do with the cable
The cable if it is in bad condition you have to replace it or you have to make a new cable but most of the time on this year that cable is in good condition you just have to put it back just remember how you remove it because you have to put it back at the same way
How close will an 89 Corvette top be to this gen of Corvettes?
The 89 is 2 pieces window and top this one is one piece (window and top) 89 is similar to 94-2004 mustang convertible
