My teacher is absolutely wretched when it comes to teaching this type of material. We ask her questions, and when it gets too difficult for her, or we continue to not understand, she tells us we are moving on. Thanks though! I learned a lot from this.
Nevermind my last post I wasn't paying attention. It was late at night when I was watching this video. You were not solving for the hypotenuse but for one of the sides. Im not used to seeing it solved that way and seeing the constants worked out that way.
Hmm I think I caught on something where B = 8 and C = 8 times sqrt. 2 I did some calculating and found that C will always be A or B times the sqrt. of 2. Little something to add there. Rest I found exelent. Thanks sooo much!!
Wow very well said but wouldnt it just be easier to multiply one of the NON-hypotenuse legs by Square root of 2? Thanks for you explanation i never understood how that all worked till now.
I don't understand why he made it so complicated. He could've just said that the hypotenuse is always the variable times the square root of 2. If it is a 45-45-90 triangle and a leg is 6, the hypotenuse will be 6 times the square root of 2.
Okay. So I need help with a problem for Geometry. If you know the answer could you please post all of your work for it? Thanks. A slide 4.1 meters long makes an angle of 35° with the ground. To the nearest tenth of a meter, how far above the ground is the top of the slide?

Its from 2007. That's like... when Windows Vista was released. xD EDIT: Looks like he was using Windows XP when he filmed this based on the notification box. LOL.
that's simple, but I wasn't taught it at school. The teachers just sat there and talked to the girls all the time. At least I learned english and programming
I had a side of a 45, 45, 90 triangle equal to 3. I used the 45, 45, 90 theorem and I got 3 times the square of 2 over 2. But when I used the Pythagorean theorem I got 6. Did I make a mistake or are these two processes not interchangeable? If I made a mistake, please explain how the Pythagorean theorem would work with this.
The reason I don’t get this is because my teacher only teaches this for one day and then goes on, therefore, my grade is suffering.
Jacob Raiford that’s every college class
Me too. We just take notes all day, get homework over it, and then learn a new concept the next day.
Jacob Raiford exactly the same for me
Same
same
You're lowkey better than my teacher. I basically learned 1 weeks worth of teaching in 8 minutes
I know right!!!
This guy is a legend!!!
I don't think the teachers realize that

45 *breathe* 45 *breathe* 90*breathe*
😂😂😂😅😅
Triangles *breath*
MAN this is OLD. Can we all give a moment to appreciate the video quality today?
I swear my ears stopped working after 3:22
StephaneGrappelli you're a stupid moron for having to edit your comment after calling him an idiot.
StephaneGrappelli You're a stupid idiot for replying to a three year old comment.
the replies are getting faster, in another note are you also learning about this ?
SAME
And I found it and while wearing headphones
in some videos you are a life saver but the other some is really complicated but thanks anyways 😃
So true
Is it bad that I learn more from one video then I've learned all year from my teacher.....
It's common....
It's sad
LOL
An easier way to do it is to use the formula x-x-x√2. Both x's are a and b and the radical is 2. For example: the last problem a=8 b=8 and c=8√2.
why do all of this when you can just put square root 2 at the end or remove it and get the answer
muffins wym ?
You ain't lying tho, for some problems, yeah.
Thanks i learn here( not from my teacher)

7:50 he says 45 + 90 + 90 = 180
math at its best
Leonardo Mazon underrated comment
I JuST waNteD 2 see if ur PaYinG atenshun
6:55 is where khan says "shit im going to erase everything."
LMAO xD
45+90+90=180 7:49
3:22
I know... so loud >~
this video helped me with my geometry basics and now i understand the pi/4 corrdinate in the unit circle
thank you so much for helping me out ! hope i past my exam tomorrow after learning the entire syllabus from you!
Carlo update :)
did u pass
Jumpscare warning at 3:20
Perfect (even though I usually don't like those XD)
Ironically I wrote a song about it though XD
i actually learned thank you
You sir have saved my life and make 92987590283745 times better sense then my teacher
This video was so helpful for me! Thank you so much!
I'm watching this for my geo. test tomorrow, and I get it now!
Thanks helped a lot.
this. man. is. a. life. saver.

ya'll used to study from yt 14 years ago? this is so old.
Thanks again for your help Sal :)
This just confused the crap out of me more
Naisya Antoine how?
It couldn’t be simpler!!!
Kinda awkward buddy
Jk don’t get discouraged I got confused too
Naisya Antoine rewatch, try taking notes, practice
Instead you should have just multiplied the 8 by root 2 to get the hypotenuse
Very helpful

Bro expalined it in 10 sec than the guy did. Ty!!
@penguinx10 It's an equivalent expression, but I do think that he should mention that c=asqrt(2)=bsqrt(2)
I confused as to why you wouldnt do the Pythagorean theoreom to get the other side :///
thanks sal
Good
it's easier with the previor theorem
thank you for explaining why 1/sqr2 = sqr2/2 I was losing my mind trying to figure out why that needed to be .
Got different answer if applying Pythagorus theorem and taking both the sides as 8.
45 *HUU* 45 *HUU* 90 *HUU* triangles
7:50-7:55 ....because 45 plus 90 plus 90 equals 180. haha you crack me up
the beginning of every khan academy video: oh how come the pen isnt working...oh there you go
If the hypotenuse is an odd number will the legs be a decimal???????????
We had a sub for this lesson and all the sub did was give us a paper and told us to work
I got everything until the rationalising part
X-X-XROOT2.
In Vietnam do not study like that, teachers teach mainly theory.
2007.... :)
dude needs a pop filter on his mic
lol it's from 2007, what did you expect
the way he sneezed ha
this is starting to make some sense....lol
Africa move
Kofi philipo
study economics
his voice is very windy

Idk
When you realize this video was made a one months after you were born.... ಥ_ಥ
@@aidanwillis1087 I think I did my math wrong 10 months ago cause April 20th is my bday 🥲

Hey you over explaining it it's not that complicated.
Some people need it to be explained in detail. Everyone learns differently...
Nope too detail i got confused, not the way i learn
@MobiusVideos Damn HOW CAN YOU LIVE
Still so confused
u scared me :(
not as much for me but still a decent jumpscare >~
ok, I'm guessing you were sick while making this.... also, the highest res is 280p...
nice video.
now get a stylus and a trackpad
For fux sake its hard to learn with these frickin adds popping up every second youtube!!!!!!!!
This dont make sense
Im 7 years old and this is just too easy haha, im about to start calculus tomorrow :)
Huey P. Freeman if you started calc in one day you wouldn’t be watching this...
Why are you here? Go watch a tangent line video or something
filmed with a toaster... failed test
Its from 2007. That's like... when Windows Vista was released. xD
EDIT: Looks like he was using Windows XP when he filmed this based on the notification box. LOL.

How old r u guys cause I am 9 and this is pretty simple, just here for revisions
that's simple, but I wasn't taught it at school. The teachers just sat there and talked to the girls all the time. At least I learned english and programming
Stealthassasin 101 im 16 and im failing my quiz tmr on this.
Nipplemainia oh my god lol
i'm 13 and this is all pretty easy in my opinion, exam in 2 days and i'm not scared for once
lol same
ugggg
wat. thee fuk
put a pop filter on that mic my dude
