This is actually Desmond Llewelyn's final performance as Q because a month after it came out he unfortunately passed away in a car accident

First Bond film I saw at the cinema. Fell head over heels in love with Sophie Marceau.

The director actually implied on the DVD features that a future movie might reveal Zukovsky had survived. Unfortunately, the next movie did so badly that the series was rebooted and ended any chance of that happening.

Haven't seen the movies in years so not sure if it applies to the Elektra / Renard relationship, but...in Stockholm syndrome, the hostages becomes attached to the hostage takers, but in Lima syndrome, the hostage takers develop sympathy for their hostages.

This film aka Bond 19 seemed liked it was going to flop.
Some of the critics trashed it and predicted it as an box office bomb.
But the masses stuck with it and so did I.
The title of the film is the family motto of Bond's family, translated in Latin from 'Orbis non sufficit'.
Explained in 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service.'
RIP to Desmond Llewellyn with 19 films in 30 plus years as Q.

Honestly, this and Tomorrow Never Dies were my favourite. Later I liked Goldeneye too. Die Another Day however will always suck.

      Not at all.
She was a 'wild card' Bond girl.
      Could've been evil.
But she wasn't easily swayed by the main villain.

I remember reading Barbra Broccoli said that with Elektra "Bond thinks he has found Tracy but he really found Blofeld." It completely changed how I saw the character and really gave the film a much deeper, quite tragic touch. I think James Bond really has a few moments here that come across as emotional ("this is not a game I can afford to play..")

Your criticism is what the audience also felt. One of the major ones being the casting choice of Christmas jones.

Can't wait til you get to Daniel Craig. Bond. Is. BLONDE. "Cringe" is fake. Don't ever worry about being "cringe".

I notice they have a tendency, in the Brosnan films, to keep casting Scots as Russians. Makes for a bizarre type of Scottish/Russian accent.

This was my favorite Brosnan Bond film. After this was Tomorrow Never Dies. I didnt like Goldeneye at first but liked it later on. Die Another Day has always sucked.
