I received one without a package. Don't know if it's real or fake, it does have the same wrap as the original one. But it might be second hand sold as "new" by the seller. 🤦♂️
There's a second video: th-cam.com/video/Qy0wAjPlRsw/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
Speak louder….!
Alright
In the bottom fake ones got ''TM and © 2020 Apple inc'' and original ones never got ''TM and''
That's correct! Thanks
I bought a 20w apple charguer, here in Argentina a lot of fakes, no apple shop in the country, and more problems. I pay 35usd aprox for the charger, same construction and quality like the original, the box is like the middle, more yellow color, 1 book manual, serial numbers of the box not match with the product.
How's the situation in Argentina? Still hard to get original equipment?
@@helpful_photographer yes, only a few “authorized reseller’s” sell the 20w apple charger “original” only tested by a jc pd tester usb c that say Apple. price is around 45-50usd. Due government imports restrictions almost every imported products arrive through de black market with a minor price than the “oficial” market
Excellent video! Very helpful!! Great job! Thank you!!
Thank you!
Thank you so much. My fake adapter is much better than yours, but finally they still make some mistakes 😉
Happy to help. Thanks for your comment :)
Thank you
I received the adaptor today
I was worried if it's fake but your video cleared my doubt
I got the original product only👍😊😊
Happy to help.
thank you so much for this detailed inspection !! after so much time spent online trying to verify whether or not my adapter is authentic, your comparison was the most helpful ☺ happy to finally be fully sure that i wasn't scammed and mine's good ^^
You're welcome :) Thank you for your time to comment!
Continue making this videos and be more detailed 🙂 i encourage you
Thanks
Hey I just purchased one and everything matches with the original, except that it only has 1 manual in it not like how you said it has 3.
Maybe you have a new version? Is the "product specifications" and "warranty summary" included in your manual?
@@helpful_photographer Nah. Just the manual itself. I bought it cheaper than what the apple store is selling so I figure it might be a fake. But since it matches right just like what you explained in the vid, I came to realize it might be original. And one more thing, my only concern is the usb type C slot pin. Is it really just slim and not that thick? I compared it to my google pixel charging brick and the slot pin is more thicker than on my apple. Anyhoo. Thanks for the reply!
Hey this was super helpful! I had just received one exactly like these from ebay.
The showed fakes are also from two different ebay dealers... Wouldn't buy them on ebay again ---> only certified Apple Dealers.
Conclusion: Don't save money if your house could burn down.
@@helpful_photographer That's what I learned the hard way.
The fake apple charger was quite obvious, and your video confirmed it (same ID number on the packaging as yours, same bad print, same bullshit).
However, I also got an Aukey USB-C PD 70W tripple charger (2x USB-C, 1x USB-A) from Amazon. I was binded by the omnipresence and the fabulous reviews... That was before Amazon kicked Aukey out of their marketplace for thousands over thousands of fake reviews...
In the end, the Aukey charger smoked and burnt. Luckily nothing other than he charger itself and an Apple Lightning cable was damaged. Imagine this happening at night or when you're out of the house...
hey. I don’t have the packaging anymore but my adapter looks like the original, the only thing that throws me off is that there’s no apple logo and no “designed by apple in california” on it..
Hi. That's curious because even the fake one has the apple logo and "designed by" on it :-/
@@helpful_photographer yeah, it’s fake. I compared it to the one that came with my HomePod and the writing is too dark and the ‘grey’ material is glossy not matte.
But if I didn’t have an original one to compare it to it would’ve been nearly impossible to identify whether it’s real or fake since it’s so well made.. crazy how that’s allowed!
Yeah, it's crazy how good these fakes are ...
I got a 20W adapter from a local store, the packaging is indeed fake but the charger has a different serial number on it and it seems original. What are the chances that the adapter is original??
I don't know. Just have a look at the 12 points and compare it. I think the chances are pretty high that it's fake, when the serial number is already not correct.
If you are in the EU most big suppliers do that, the small ‘local’ shop order the adapters as original, they come in replica packaging, I am guessing they are taking them out of iPhone boxes or ordering them as bulk from china and then repackaging them to sell them as retail packaged. There is a high chance you have an original adapter.
Mine is original and the adhesive doesnt match the color of the box and the side panels are not rounded on the other side but everything else is like the original. I bought it from Apple authorised reseller.
Thanks for the information! So there's different kind of versions
thank you so much for this video !my chrager is Original i checked every single detail that u mentioned in this videoevery thing is fine and my phone charging fast and not getting hot while charging 🥰
Great! You're welcome!
Thank you for this, i was very suspicious about my adapter because i bought it from a 3rd party website. Everything matches! Tho maybe it is intended, when i plug my phone in it takes a second before it starts charging. Can anybody help me on that?
I didn't understand the problem, but It always take some seconds to start charging.
I think the iPhone checks if there's any liquid in the lighting connector before charging.
Its normal to take a second to charge
Every detail show that mine is original, but the serial number is not recognised on Apple site, why is that??
Serial numbers of equipment can't be checked.
bought one for about $12 it worked for about 3 months then today it didnt fit in my phone so i thought it was broken, but it worked for my airpods and iphone 6 but not my iphone 11 so i thought maybe mine is fake since its not close to the real one in this video and im thinking if its damaging my phone
I would never use a fake one again --> fire hazard.
Why Is that box mentioned like iphone g, ipad g like that. (One side of the box)
Pardon?
Hey mate is the fake one harm battery life alot ?!
I didn't check the real voltage and current. In fact i sent the fake ones back because i don't want to risk my iPhone because of a fake power adapter, which isn't so much cheaper.
I got my apple 20w power adapter from a local store, the box matches the fake version from your video but the brick itself matches the original
Mysterious
İ bought a charger 4 months ago and now my battery life dropped to 99 serial numbers are same but it says adapter made in china on it can you help me?
My power adapter is from India, but i think Apple manufactures in different countries. So double check all named points. Most obvious is the bad quality and the gaps.
Thank you so much mate
You're welcome. Thanks

Hi if it's original does it appears on the apple page with the serial number like all original iphones/ipads ?
Hi Moni, i checked the iphone and macbook power adapter serial number on the Apple page and it didn't appear. I think small accessorcies aren't listed.
Hey I bought mine on a website for 19,99 but it came without the Apple box. It looked very real although it makes a very little buzzing sound when plugging it in (when I put my ear on the charger I hear it) and also for a few seconds when unplugging it. It also doesn’t have any gaps on the back but your fake ones have. Is mine original or is it fake?
I never heard of buzzing Apple power adapters. I would go to a Apple Store and double check with them.
I would not use it !
@@helpful_photographer Used it for like 3 months and I just noticed the charger contains a serial number which is used a lot with fake ones. I ordered a real Apple charge now :)
You can’t use the usb c chargers.
You could use them, but it's definitely dangerous!
How much does the original adapter weighs, without the box, just the adapter.
The adapter itself weights 55gr.
@@helpful_photographer I got a fake one and the adapter weighs 55g as well!
Damn I just got a fake one
That's annoying! Hope you get your money back.
Hi. Can’t we just serial number on adapter and usb cable?
Hi, i didn't have a fake usb cable until now. But as you see the fake adapters are already pretty close to the original with the engraving. So i would always recommend the combination of different attributes to check for a fake.
@@helpful_photographer thank u so much for your reply.
@@muujigamm You're welcome
Wo findet man da was bei Apple was dazu?
Assembled in Vietnam & Seriennummer eingelasert bzw. in hellgrau bedruckt.
Im Vergleich zu einem anderen USB-C Stecker welcher gerade hierliegt sind mehr Kontakte vorhanden xD
