Too little to know what technology was used there. In the 90s I remember the welcome one got into Cal through the PA. It was so eloquent and so poetic in the best tradition of the prolific author of Gitanjali himself, Rabindranath Tagore. If one heard it today one would think it was composed by Chat GPT. I wonder if any of these still exist!?

Indian Railways is slowly downgrading its prestigious trains. The train was started by Late Madhu Dandavate. Gitanjali exp had 4-5 stops between destinations. Now it has become a passenger train
How many total hours this train took to reach CSMT including delay in spite of having SF tag for this train & paying SF charges extra in the ticket inclusive ? Then why not to have a thought to travel by Howrah Mail via Gaya/Prayagraj which is a totally a different route & the same train doesn't pass/enter Chattisgarh where mostly the freight trains are given first priority to run ahead of express trains.
My humble request is that the Railway Minister with top officials should check the toilets in the train. The toilet rooms are very narrow, and the water that splashes down will accumulate there. When you ask passengers about their (only) nightmare is going to the toilet. I found a solution to this on my trip to Calcutta by consuming very little food and water.
With so much speed, still train in almost 2.5 hours delayed. Totally unacceptable. Still too much to improve for Indian Railways. They have to reduce stops by 50% and run these trains on separate high speed tracks.
All trains from Rourkela to Raipur (SECR) get delayed by 2-3 hours in both directions. The issue is that freight trains carrying coal are given priority over passenger trains. I think if was a policy introduced when there was coal shortage in India. 5 years ago, all these trains used to run on time.
In gondia station almost everytime trains gets late , tirora power plant is there , so freight are given highest priority to move , after bhandara you can clearly see train picking up some pace..
Unless fines are imposed for unreasonable delays beyond a point then nothing will improve. Even with buffered timings, incompetent staff cannot run a railway properly. Keep giving lectures on train signalling blah blah… without accepting basic incompetence at network level.
