The world famous konark sun temple is situated in Puri district of odisha state.This temple is famous for unique architecture.The temple was built by Languda Narasingha Dev in 13th century to worship Surya ,the sun god.In this temple there is 7 horses and 24 wheels.The numbers of 7 and 24 hold a lot of significan.This temple is famous in the name of Black Pagoda.UNESCO declared World heritage site in 1984.Best time to visit konark is between September to March
