Such an underrated producer considering the quality and funkyness of the joints he delivers. Thanks for this shot ! May he keeps his ways of making since the vibe is definetely here.
My man SDC never disappointed. Consistent quality throughout his career with some masterpieces here and there. Met briefly at Dimensions in 2013, his live really hit home on that rainy night. Hope to meet you soon once again, Jack! Keep it up
When he mentioned whistling into his phone and working from voice memos.... Really hit home..... Love this guy. You get a real feel for his approach in his redemption of the cryonauts album which is why I enjoyed that record so much. It's so raw.
it is true that once I get synth or piece of equipment I don't ever consider selling.. just because I try to research as much as I can before purchasing and also because I love my things; I think it goes beyond being materialistic as well ^_^
Sad to hear about the S-1000 breaking. I had a couple that needed new power supplies. I replaced them with a TDK Lambda HWS-30A-5 and they’re good as new.
wow you use a akai..!being a kid the s3000 was everything, so hands on.. ive never herd of you geez but im going to check your tracks out right now..fantastic
Well all of the reverbed elements of a track are mixed as one then sent to the Alesis. That's his I understand it. It behaves differently that way in terms of dynamic range

Criminally underrated
These Tech Talk videos are so good!
Very cool! Luv his no nonsense laid back approach.
Brian Reilly Exactly what I was thinking.
Same here
he was my best friend growing up I saw him sitting in his room all day with his keyboard. his dream was to play with Aphex twin and he did 🥰

Last album is a masterpiece
One of my favorites to ever do it
Great musician. Been listening to SDC since early days.
Great guy, I love his I'll make due with it attitude. The gear he has is well chosen too.
Refreshing attitude to sound.

Lovely insight. Been liking Jack”s music for years now. Nice to know that artists you look up to take the same approach to production as yourself.

Oh jeez, been a fan for years

Those trax playing in the background are fucking lush!

lovely dude, great musician, awesome studio! good portrait, too... 👍🏼❤️
Great video. Very down to earth guy.
Love his work
Those monitors look so cool, the SE Electronics Munro Egg 150
what a cool and laidback dude :)
ah god so refreshing
Nice studio!
Cool tunes .
Super interview. Wonderful to hear a skilled musician say he doesn't know music theory. Vangelis also doesn't know music theory, so there.. ;-)
Track id at 2:35 ???
Can we get IDs on the tracks playing in the background please? 🙏
I would leave a space between the Super JX and MKS-80, - mine produce quite a lot of heat...
~ prevention is better than cure ~ and cheaper...
Anyone can name what synth he’s using for the vocoder ?
class
Anyone know the track ID at 4:30?
Joe Miller Space Dimension Controller - Slowtime in Reflection
@@nicobrun9074 Thank you!!
Thanks for the video, Didn't exactly understand the Reverb part ...

@@HeIiosphan Also helps bind the elements together.
word
Hey .o/
What s the name of this kind of production with all this machines!?
Leo analog
@@enno8967 ? Not all that gear is analogue/ purely analogue.
You mean genre?
Techno, electro, house, etc.
That's hybrid set up, hardware sequenced and recorded by computer.
his voice calm me down
track id of last track anyone ?
im the bigest fan of sdc aka max tiraquon
Space Dimension Controller is Captain Rock's more technologically advanced son.
I have very similar approach to Creation. The less you know the better.
Serious question: how does he afford the gear?
working, playing live...
It builds up over a few years, some gear probably second hand as well.
U N D E R R A T E D
M R A D 4 0 M S 5 0
So it is possible to make music without music theory!
Sure is!
Whoever started discovering music had only his ears, that is about enough
great idea...Just sit down and get something done, and keep focused...All that gear comparison stuff is trash..
ahaha presets on the moog one yes bud they arent that good
Whether he admits it or not, he is using music theory. Claiming it's better to not know it is a lame excuse. Music theory is a tool, not a crutch
I think he is saying it can easily become a crutch
poor moog preset makers they are reamed here
i just started a channel from being inspired by you so if you can plz give me a shoutout so that i can be a good youtuber like you
Good luck
@@ElectronicBeatsTV thanks
There's someone here.. what's that sound?
Top bloke, not on the ket that day!
BASED
