Thank you for the amazing session. My assumption is BW IP was used before hana came in and after hana there is embedded BPC. But still i see some projects are BW IP on hana and some are on BPC embedded. If there is a fresh BW on hana system i assume there is an option of either implementing BW-IP or Embedded BPC. When do we go for BW-IP and when for embedded BPC. Can you throw some light on this please.
You can even go for BW-IP anytime , but you will be missing all the advantages that exists with BPC Embedded. Advantages of BPC over BW-IP:- 1) Data redundancy can be avoided by making using of the embedded BPC as there is no need to have seperate cubes for regular BW and Planning applications. 2) Performance of Planning function execution can be improved by making use of AMDPs where execution happens in HANA DB.
