I screamed hallelujah on 1:08:00 when I saw u finally got those tracks on! I hope you had a cold beer after that assembly! You just reminded me why I love aftermarket workable tracks. Hopefully they will make it before I build my Stuart! Thanks again for sharing!

Thanks, but actually, I just made it look more difficult than it probably really is if I taken more time with those elastic bands, it would’ve seemed a lot smoother and having to figure out the number of pieces needed well that’s just I don’t know. Maybe I did something wrong. I’ll have to build it again someday but the tracks are actually pretty good, not that bad

Hi James, Nice job on those bogies and tracks. Interesting how they keyed everything to make it easier to get the parts in the right place. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff

      Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you found the design interesting. Keying the parts definitely helps with the assembly process. Appreciate your kind words.
      Have a great day!
      James

It was a miracle the machine guns weren't damaged in all the track fiddling. I definitely noted that they should be put on after the tracks.
I just knew those tracks were going to throw you into a conniption fit. Lol. You handled them like a champ.
Great job all together. Thanks for another great video.

Actually everything was totally under control- maybe if I took more time wrapping the elastic band it wouldn’t have seemed so bad lol The tracks were actually very easy to put together- just lost track along the way and not sure why the count didn’t make sense

@@JETScaleModels I think you did a great job. I'm used to those rubber band style tracks and you made those look simple.
I'm at a loss as to why the track count was off too. I had an uncle who drove an M4A3E8 during his time in the service but since he's passed away, I can't ask him. Not sure if it was normal. Adjusting the rear idler wheel would probably fix it, but that's not possible.
      One of lifes little mysteries.

I had to chuckle when you mentioned accuracy and Academy in the same phrase for suspension accuracy. The Academy kits were copied from the OLD Tamiya kit!
I have not seen the new Tamiya Stuart but the best suspension by far is the AFV Club version and they even sold it separately to update Tamiya kits.
I am so impressed with this Miniart kit. Yes it will not fall together like a Tamiya but that detail is splendid.
I'm hoping they will add many more variants and holding my breath for a Honey version.

I appreciate your insight! It's interesting to learn about the history of the Academy kits and their relation to the old Tamiya versions. I agree, the AFV Club suspension is top-notch, and it's great they offer it as an upgrade. Added one to the stash way back when they came out .The Miniart kit's detail is indeed impressive, and I'm with you in hoping for more variants, especially a Honey version. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Greetings my friend, the M3 build is coming xalong nicely, but those tracks certainly gave you a run for your money, I struggled a bit with the Tamiya link and length tracks for my KV-I build, i ptrfered uxing masking tape instead of rubber/elastic bands, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les

      Hi Les,
Greetings to you too! The M3 build has indeed been a challenge but its really an excellent kit. those tracks, I maybe made it seem more difficult than it was really! LOL! I can relate to your struggle with the Tamiya link and length tracks; they can be quite tricky. Using masking tape instead of rubber bands is a great tip - I’ll have to try that next time. Thanks for sharing, and best regards to a Kiwi living in Australia!
      Cheers,
      James

Great episode! The thumb seems to be healing nicely 🙂 I am very curious as to how you intend to paint the bogies and tracks. Can you separate the link and length pieces from the running gear after they have set?
And one more thing: try putting your beautiful little model in front of a mirror, so that you can compare the track sides. I think I noticed a difference, but I may be wrong 🤪

Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you find my responses accurate and helpful. If you have any questions or need assistance with anything, feel free to ask! As for the Tamiya glue and phot etch perhaps I’ll do a short video explaining that.
