    I’m jealous of this routine already (one minute in)

    I always have a blanket on my nap when on the desk. I had two fully remote jobs since covid, got a new job that was 5 days a week in the office (45min commute with traffic each way) and that was absolutely soul crushing. Quit after two weeks. Now I found a job even closer to my dream job and fully remote again. Time to build up a routine again. It gets lonely folks, so make sure you have a good routine. Stand up and walk often.

      @@kieranbracken2578 Wouldn't say it's stressful/bad at all. It's only as good as you make it, but most people (me sometimes included) just go in the routine without much social interaction, which is tolling. It's one of the better professions right now, in my humble opinion.

      @@kieranbracken2578 if you want money specifically then software I guess. First two years were stressful as hell, and I wanted to quit. But it’s getting better as I’m becoming more experienced. Approaching the 2 and a half year mark

    An actual life of a SWE, rather than all the flashy vlogs showing off that this job is actually doing nothing. Well, I guess that's all those product guys, and others who do those vlogs of a "day in the life", where they are just hanging out in different rooms or having the free food at the office.

    Reasons why I want to be a software engineer.
    Number one 🗿:

    • @yehaa00
      @yehaa00 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Guess you don't know how's the real software engineer does, most of "day in the life as a bla bla bla" videos are intern in a big tech company who don't need an intense workflow yet, also they're mostly seeking validation through their sometimes cringey video, just tell me who's the most influential software engineer for their works that has youtube channel I'll wait here, there's a harsh truth for you there pal, but nevertheless if you want to be a software engineer just go for it. It still has a lot of fun for being a long life learner

    • @youvegotmail9385
      @youvegotmail9385 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@yehaa00 people dog on software engineers, but I challenge anyone to give it a go if they want to wfh or make those big bucks. That shit is hard af, especially if you don't haev a CS degree. It's possible, just exponentially harder to get through that first door. I develop on a smaller scale and I can't do what these guys do. Coding is really, really hard. That's why they make the big bucks.

    • @yehaa00
      @yehaa00 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@youvegotmail9385 Yeah agree, this sudden hype of digital job and bootcamp creating a lot of cringey "trend jockey" developer, sadly. I've hired a developer, he's exceptional and the fact that he's not even into bootcamp whatsoever but because he has the intention to become an outlier. It's actually quite easy to distinguish between a "developer" and a developer nowadays because of the red ocean factor but sometimes the good one is preceded by the lucky mediocre. Such a harsh industry for real.
