I looked at this bike back in august, I should have bought it while I was there. I came up from Ny to the back of the dragon and stopped in to check it out!
I have a 2020, last year. I bought it with 1k on the clock. I'm 5'11" with a 32" inseam and it's a perfect fit. It's a 3.2 gallon tank BTW, and conservatively ridden will get you up to 150 miles. I've done it on the North Cascades Highway from one side of the mountains and back. Mine is stage one VH FP3, VH Longshots and SE intake. Great bike, but you will need a 32" inseam as it's a little tall.
I put Stage 1 (Bassani 2in1, SE intake) and 1" risers on handlebars (they're a little too low). Makes it a killer bike for backcountry roads. Looks, sounds, and rides beautifully! Love mine!!!
I have one. I was disappointed on long rides as my legs were so high. I put forward controls on mine so now I have to put some higher bars on because now I ride in this shape " > ". Legs out front and bent over the tanks like a sideways V.
I have one and love it. I swapped out the seat, mines stage 2, z bars which I’m considering changing. Overall it’s a nice bike, quick and loves to lean. I’m a 5’5 female so I had to change out the shockies to 11.5” progressive because it’s taller than most Harley’s. It’s a quick bike, gets up and goes, comfy to ride and super fun. I hate the pegs though lol.. they are next to go. Great review!
And yep, it may be slightly smaller but it’s all engine 🎉 😂😁 plus the dual front disk breaks, triple forks - it’s great value for what it is. Tank is smaller but you can swap it out if you want but I’m not fussed.
Great bike! I have a rks 114 m8, as well as a Xr1200 sporty...mirage orange pearl 😁 Yip, the sportster is great fun....wont ever sell it. Safe rides bud 🍻🏁
Fat Boy Bob you did a great job of the classic oversell. I love Sportsters for what they are ancient overweight low tech air/oil cooled motors that are easy to maintain with basic service skills. They get you where you want to go with a touch of character. They are what I call a everyday bike. Sportsters, Royal Enfields and a few of the newer Chinese bikes like CF Moto are everyday bikes. Put the Triumph Bonneville in there to. Low tech bikes easy to keep up that you just put gas in and go.
This the 883R and 1200R are Harley's version of the Scrambler. You can see the bike in the video also has the classic scrambler upswept 2 into 1 exhaust too. Not uncommon for people to switch out to gripper tires on this model.
The XL1200CX should have been equipt with rear-set foot controls to suit its low bars. I'd rate my 2009 XR1200 as a better Sportster than the Roadster.
I get about 100miles to the tank. It’s a little more then 2 gallons. I have a full stage 1. Exhaust intake and tune. At 65-70mph is not bad. Anything faster and your really holding one. It’s a super fun bike and looks awesome
Tell me why the XR is better. I'm looking at buying 2020 Roadster. I have ridden the Roadster and really like it. Other than I can get an XR for a little less money what makes the XR better than the Roadster?
Another fluff review of a Harley Davidson product. What is it with Harley Davidson that it attracts air head reviewers that literally say nothing (a lot of nothing). Come on, this is a sporty Harley, RIDE it!!! Put it through its paces, how is it in the twisties, how composed it when your scraping pegs this is stuff we want to know. We’re not watching reviews to hear someone blah blah about nothing, Ride the Ft!

That shot at 0:31 is why this was an instant classic.
Buy it! For all the reasons you said, plus one: how great it is on canyon roads!

883R here, also 5'11", also 32 inseam. A perfect fit.
I would get tbr comp s 2-1 stainless steel if i were you 🤌 and db killer wrapped for it
Spot on

Man, I have an XL1200 and I will keep it forever!!!
Yessir, I have a xl1275. An 03xl883H upgraded suspension. Hammer engine, speed line bars. Screaming eagle pipes. It's not too bad, I love my bike

@@welikegoodies Do you have photos of it? or a instagram ?
What cams did you go with on a stage 2?
So it is a girls bike
@@ChowTY42 stupid comment
I’m waiting for a white 2020 or 2019 to show up on the east coast to trade in my 883 for.
Hes right , either you did Sportstets or you don't. Drag bars on a Roadster is where its at!!
Only if you have super rear controls as your knees are way up there. Either go Cafe 100% or go Cruiser 100%
Great bike!

I want to buy the specific one but I live in Greece.

With all the FXR hype. Surprised Harley didn’t keep the roadster in the lineup.
I agree. I love my 2017. The best sportster available now. Kraken sent me.
new rear fender on there, street tires, higher bars and you're set. The Roadster is the best Sporster ever made.
The XR1200 was the best Sportster. Buell made the best Sportsters.
It's every sportster ever made.
Ugh higher bars would look terrible. It looks great as is. I know. I have the bike complete with stage 4. If anything I might still put on clip ons.
3.3 gallon... still bigger than the 48s!
If it's a "roadster" why does it have off road tires? I like the look, but the bars are about 10" too inches to low.

I got one as well. Indian dealership tried his best to trade it for his FTR.
What tires are those?

Eric from krakens garage sent me buddy. New subscriber here 🤘
Nice bike
Thanks for joining man!
Such a good looking bike and I love that sound. Wish I had room for one.
That was probably the best sounding exhaust I’ve heard on a sportster in a long time. I definitely need to add one to the garage as a build series
I loved my sportster
Oh yeah sounds awesome
That’s the bike I bought from black bear hd a month ago
Eric sent me over here. Good stuff mate!!
Thanks man! Appreciate the sub!
My 1200 will keep up with an M8 just fine
6:10 It's a 3.3-gallon tank.
This is cool motorcycle.
Bar hopper lol 😂
I'm too big for that bike! 🤣🤣
That’s what makes it fun 😂😂
Velocity stacks really turn me on..I’m about to go motorbate
WHAT are those TIRES doing on that thing????????????????????
Chris Griffin... ? from family guy ? is that you ...
It looks nice. My XR1200 is way, way, way, way, way better.
Tell me why the XR is better. I'm looking at buying 2020 Roadster. I have ridden the Roadster and really like it. Other than I can get an XR for a little less money what makes the XR better than the Roadster?
ah yes the perfect bike for someone under 5'2"
💯👍
