I'm a little biased but NEO Farmers is a great place to start and grow. Several maps starting with a basic Chernarus with cars ready to drive to more advanced maps for a harder skill level. Extremely friendly and active community. Some great suggestions in the video as well as a few I will check out. Thanks for the great video!

@@mcdoodle08 Hmm I cannot think of one that is No Base/No Trader like that. The closest I can think of with a high pop and maps+markers, is Basically Vanilla and Northmen which don't typically have traders, but they lean more into the Baser style gameplay.
I actually really like Northmen vanilla + I think it’s the best between loot and stamina, my biggest annoyance with vanilla is the stamina situation just seems way to low, 2x - 3x I really like or have end zone did there unlimited stamina balance.
Yeah I considered adding Northmen to this, they are a bit more baser oriented than I was thinking for this video. I think I might make another video that I'll recommend them on. I've had a good time on their servers in the past.

Vanilla+ server, with a small tap of QOA mods (you can even suggest mods you would like to see), no pay2win, only thing u can do is vote on a server and get coins, with those coins u can buy building materials / tools (nails, codelocks, sledgehammer,…) and even a car if u have enough points ! Currently they only have chernarus server, they did had deer isle server before but it got removed. Mods are very nice and friendly (so is the chat)! Also lately they have some fun events like kill ‘x’ and get a breaching charge !
I mean you touched on some solid popular ones. Would have rather gotten a video of underrated servers, or hidden gems. I doubt anyone doesn’t know about these servers.

Whenever I tried it, it did not feel like an actual vanilla+ experience. Hardly any zombies, although I found some in points of interest. I might have just hopped on it on an off day.
XDC is the best server group out there. They fix the few problems with vanilla, like raiding being way too easy, they add more guns, gear, and vehicles, but there are no traders and the difficulty is as close to vanilla as I've seen.
best true vanilla server is struggle bus, but you have to log in at the perfect time to get more than like 15 players on, and anyone that does play is mega stacked cause they havent done a full reset in like a year

Vanilla is basically a server that is like Official but someone hosted a server and admin it. It has the same loot/zombie values as official. Vanilla Plus is similar to Official but some loot is boosted, zombie tweaked, added clothing, and could have bases removed or not. But the gameplay loop is not changed. Then there is Heavily Moded which often has traders, modded base building, 3D Markers, Map Pinging, and different modded armor and weapons. This greatly changes the gameplay in my opinion.
Yep, all free. The only extra paid thing, is any server that runs Livonia, that is a paid DLC map. All other modded maps are free in the steam workshop.
I totally agree. I'd actually be happier without military gear at all or at least very rare I'd love a server with more expanded civilian/ farming/ hunting weapons
Ah yes, so when I say "No Base / No Trader" it means that server does not allow bases (usually they disable nail spawns, can't have bases without nails). This creates a situation with a lot more people running around the map, instead of hanging out inside their base or at the trader. A lot more interaction!
It won’t let me connect to any servers that have mods even after I downloaded the mods and loaded them in the list the only ones I can load into are half dead with no mods
@@Nitno I am using the launcher i've tried every fix under the sun but still nothing fixes it so either my copy of dayz is broken or the mods are messed up even though i've uninstalled and reinstalled them
I’m new to PC Dayz. Looking for servers with things like traders and events, but without being heavily PvP focused with spawns in pretty much any town, insanely beefy armor and weapons. I enjoy PvP, but not the way it is in servers like rearmed. Does anyone know of any servers with a middle ground between the two?
They should get loaded in automatically. Make sure you are using the launcher though. So when you click DayZ in steam, the launcher pops up, goto Servers then click on a server there (in the launcher) and it will download the mods required.
Heads up grey man has shut down. Shroud and sacriel realized it’s gonna take a lot to get their vision right and they’re shutting down to fully focus on it. Which I get but it’s rough, grey man was definitely the best on this list.
To me in Australia, any server that's not 250-300 ms ping, and has a few players on, is a good server !! Fortunately 'Northmans' has at least one server here. Very frustrating not being able to play on Europe servers an very few west coast U.S servers. RE-armed are here, but Meh !!
Yeah it's rough for the AUS. I do know the big Australia streamers play DayOne even though it's about 200-250 ish ping. DayZ is a bit more forgiving of a game in terms of ping compared to say something like Counter Strike... but yeah, not ideal. Good luck!
Hmm...i am not sure if increased is the right word. I'd say it's been balanced, so yes you do find things, it feels like items are very much present and attainable. But it's not "boosted" if you get what I am trying to say. That said, for sure check them out, very very good servers.
Hmmm, not one that shows your marker on a map. BUT... a server that will have a map: Bitteroot playtest comes out for a whole month, starting on the 29th. Really fun map. They will have servers with both Vanilla+ No Bases and one With Bases.
I strongly NOT recommending Spaggies servers and KarmaKrew servers. Experience may wary, as admins there love to interfere in your gameplay. DayOne servers, on the other hand, is the best servers I know, the only bad thing about them is they are always full (unlike previously mentioned).
karmakrew isn't worth, traded with fully geared player on the coast, ran back to find admins despawning loot as 'fully geared players shouldn't be on the coast' but as a freshie that killed him surely i was entitled to the loot to take north but nope just got argumentative admins shouting down the mic

Hmm, make sure your using the launcher and not in-game browser. You could also try DayZSA launcher

i tried dayone but i keep getting redirected to a server called manhunt tried 3 different day one servers all are fake and the manhunt server is empty

Agreed. Yeah you really need to get in queue on restart timers. It's rough. Restart times can be found in discord.

The Official Launcher is not good. I wish I could say so, but honestly it does not work well. I use the DZSA Launcher and it finds servers quick.
