This is very much what their dynamic is. With other characters, she's the "all nonsense" person, but with the rest of Team Dark, she's somehow the most sane and reasonable one. Love it.

A lot of animators really don't put enough stock in the value of ear movements in animal or anthropomorph expression. Typical animal ears have over 30 unique expressional positions, forming a universal short form language.

Both up - alert/surprised Both neutral / neutral Both down - sad/timid One up, one down - confused/inquisitive I usually don't have the ears twisted around due to the angles I draw characters at.
I've seen so many animations of this, but this one definitely has the most facial and body expressions than any of the others. A lot of time and effort was put into animating this so well. Definitely some great work.
I gotta say I love how free flowing it all looks! Nothing looked stiff whatsoever! And yeah, Shadow’s fought a giant bio lizard, literal f*cking aliens, a villain that literally looks and speaks the exact same as he did, and broke his way out of an interdimensional trap designed for him to explicitly not break out of it. I can believe he’d be nonchalant about the hole

A hole in my apartment that seems to lead to another dimension seems like a typical tuesday to me and it was nothing compared to the time the world was literally split apart and apparently there was a dark god living underneath.
