If you haven't watched any of Sally McRae's videos, you absolutely should! She's such an ultrarunning inspiration and a fountain of knowledge for all things ultrarunning. Only a few weeks left - eek! I hope you find the mental shift for these next few weeks to be SO fun!
I have a trail race in less than 4 weeks too and my children have the flu😫 I have already missed two weeks of my twelve week training bc I first had something (fever, headache, nausea) and then covid two weeks later. So so hoping they have what I had first so I have some immunity.
They have toe separators you can buy as well as individual ones for your toes. Thick socks for sure seem important....at least for me. If my feet are pissed they will show me lol. As for not getting sick...I hear you! My hubby gets sick SO easy and then shares it with me. I have learned to sleep separate from him if one of us is sick and then to Lysol the common areas and items (door knobs, faucet handles, remote control etc) and most importantly wash your hands and don't touch your face. Good luck with your prep!! I have my first half marathon in May and I am freaking out!
So smart, I was cleaning so much hahaha!! And you're going to do great!! I just responded to your other comment, but please let me know if you have any other questions! I am happy to help!!!
Caffeine will make you "go" (#2) or you'll often feel that bowel activity/can bother your stomach. Consider trying a gel with caffeine? Hope your honey got well and you stayed well! Running Qs: Do you get to train on any hills in your city/will that make any difference where you will be racing? Do you plan to run with others-is that a "crew" or is a crew just people/Dom supporting your training and being at check points? What, during peak week, was your longest run? Consider making a vid on drop bag advise? Book reading. Ever tried Kate Morton? She writes beautiful stories that flash back and forth between the present and the past, incorporate family secrets coming to light, and just make splendid characters!
I think I just did women's, maybe I should specifically look at trail!! But I do love them now, wore them this morning for my 50k and am really happy with them!!!
Loving magnesium before bed, but probably won't get this one again LOL. I think we are going to go back to what we previously used, which was from Thorne!!

Holly Martin has good gear/blister info in her videos
For the Injiji socks, did you order trail socks? They are thicker.
