Thanks I'm man oh couldn't get the face off my nex 😂. It was just installed today first time. I'd purchased it in 2018 just using it now.
Hey, How do you detach the screen without the radio on? My battery was replaced and now the radio won’t come on..
I recommend to press the microprocessor reset button on the receiver. You'll need a paper clip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. On the Pioneer AVH-4200NEX, You can find the microprocessor reset button on the hard key panel to the far right. I also recommend checking the fuses in the vehicle fuse panel. Is it possible to replace the detachable face on the AVX-X8500BHS? Mine was cracked and destroyed and I'm wondering if I'm able to just buy the detachable screen separately.
The Pioneer AVH-X8500BHS was made back in 2011/2012. It may still be possible to get parts for this receiver from Pioneer, but I would not bet on it. I recommend to contact Pioneer Customer Service in the US on line here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support or by phone in the US 1-800-421-1404. From a cost perspective, it may be a better option to consider a new receiver like the Pioneer AVH-2550NEX seen here: th-cam.com/video/ggVOAEXejIs/w-d-xo.html or if you don't play CD's the Pioneer DMH-1500NEX seen here: th-cam.com/video/I1XFyRiTZKc/w-d-xo.html You can find more videos on Pioneer's TH-cam Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
So the list of model you listed are detachable face?
Yes. On AVH-4200NEX the screen will detach. If the buttons are on the side, like AVIC-5200NEX and AVIC-6200NEX, only the buttons will detach. You can find more videos about AVH-4200NEX in this playlist: th-cam.com/video/g5juaKNXr90/w-d-xo.html
still cant get mine to open or adjust screen 4200nex. i can hear the motors working when the radio first comes on and the buttons are not greyed out they just wont make the unit open and there is no obstruction keeping it from working. would like to know what i can try before sending it in for repair incase its just a simple setting or otherwise easy fix
I recommend to try a couple things. First press the microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-4200NEX on the hard key panel to the far right beside the eject button. Next I recommend to do a full System Restore. You can see it here: th-cam.com/video/5ZTEq6VKeWE/w-d-xo.html If this does not correct the issue, the receiver may need to be serviced. Please contact Pioneer Customer Service for help find an Authorized Service Center in the US here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support or by calling in the US 1-800-421-1404.
@@deckerdotto6035 I really appreciate the info I'll give the resets a try and if those don't solve it I'll face the music (lol pun intended) and just send it off and have it serviced.
Hope you have a great holiday if your in the U.S. and celebrating the sameone I am lol.
@@kwking11 did it solve your problem? Since I have the same issue with my now
I'm in the same boat, trying to replace the screen but cannot get the thing off the unit and the eject button does nothing. Did you ever get it solved?
Same issue as legit sully. Battery died and the radio won’t come back on. No power at all to it and the reset button doesn’t do anything. Any suggestions?
I recommend to check the vehicle's in-dash receiver circuit fuse in the vehicle's fuse panel to be sure it's OK. Also check the in-dash receiver's 10 Amp fuse at the wire harness. You can see it here: th-cam.com/video/I97A2ETWVEo/w-d-xo.html
Hello I have a pioneer avh-4000nex my stereo will not finish loading it goes from the loading screen to the NEX splash screen and that's all the lights on the buttons are bot light-up..I've tried to reset it but NOTHING. any advice or comments I would appreciate it thank you in advance
The Pioneer AVH-4000NEX was manufactured in 2013/2014. I recommend to disconnect the unit from power for a few moments. Reconnect the power and press the microprocessor reset button located on the hard key panel to the far right beside the eject button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. If this does not correct the issue, I recommend to send the unit for service at a factory authorized service location: You can find one here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support or by calling in the US 1-800-421-1404. the bottom of my device does not detect touch.Detects the place I touch from above. so i can't enter a password. Can you help
I recommend to press the Microprocessor Reset Button. Put the face on the receiver, start the vehicle, and press the microprocessor reset. You’ll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor Reset button. On the Pioneer AVH-4200NEX, you can find the microprocessor reset button on the hard key panel to the far right. This may correct the issue with the touch screen alignment but, will not remove the password. I also recommend to clean the metal contacts on the back of the detachable face and on the in-dash receiver. If this does not correct the issue, please contact Pioneer Customer Service I the US here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support or by phone in the US 1-800-421-1404
What do u do when u can turn the screen on
Are you trying to say that you can't get the screen to turn on? Please be more specific with your question. If the screen won't power up, I recommend to press the microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-4200NEX on the hard key panel to the far right beside eject. You can find more videos on Pioneer's TH-cam Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
is this available on the 8200nex? (detachable face)
I don’t think so I’ve been trying
Sometimes after I take out the screen, the mechanism don't return back .....any idea why ?
You must not be pressing the right eject button. I did the same thing...
Mine is doing the same thing.
Plate won't retract when face is off.
Anyone know why ?
Are the lights at the bottom supposed to stay on when unit is switched off?
There is a difference between Source Off and System Off. Source Off means the system stops playing music, but is still active for other operations. System off powers down the system. You can see more here: th-cam.com/video/S1GvLIboWpM/w-d-xo.html When the vehicle is completely switched off, the in dash receiver should also be switched off. If the in dash receiver still has power when the vehicle is off The Yellow Wire may have an incorrect connection to the vehicle. Check out this video for help on wiring: th-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/w-d-xo.html
Deckerd Otto thanks Deckered! Super helpful.
It does completely power off once I take off the faceplate too as the unit was cold this morning upon inspection.
pionner me presenteia com um toca cd
why is this necessary?
It's not necessary. If you don't want to take the face off of the receiver, then simply leave it in place. You can find more videos on Pioneer's TH-cam Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
From the manual the screen has an operating temperature tolerance between -4 to +176f (-20 to +80c ). Where I live the inside of my truck can easily reach the lower temp, and get really close to the higher one, depending on the time of year. So, it's not just anti-theft, but a necessity on those ultra cold or hot days.
You should put a warning not to use these in open-top cars. After two summers, my faceplate stopped responding. Now... I can't press the detach button on the faceplate to eject it. I'm trying like crazy to get it off using just the slider - but it's not working. So how do I get it off without touching the faceplate? I also factory reset it and it's stuck at the select language screen. Please help before I replace what was an awesome (if not dimly lit) head unit with a cheapo single din unit after literally cutting this one out of there.
Please try the Microprocessor Reset button located on the hard key button panel on the bottom right of the in-dash receiver front panel. You'll need a paper clip or some other small point to press the Microprocessor Reset button. After microprocessor reset, please do a Restore Settings seen here: th-cam.com/video/5ZTEq6VKeWE/w-d-xo.html If this does not correct the issue please contact Pioneer Customer Service in the US 800-421-1404 or www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support
