Bell Moto 3 helmet and Hipoint boots brings back good memories. It's nice to have a channel to cover all these vintage bikes and equipment.I had the same helmet and a 1981 RM 80. Great times!!
I had a bell moto 3 myself my father gave it to me back in 1989 when i got my 1988 honda cr80r i was 15 years old in 89 and want to go back///my dad had the helmet from the early 80s when he was riding his 1984 kx125
I was born in 1965 in texas and got my first new dirtbike in 1974. it was a different world. a better one. do you remember the smell of a motorcycle shop back then? all the new bikes lined up at the window? you walk in and the first thing that hits you is the smell of those new knobby tires? little cardboard cans of amsoil? monkey grip inner tube patches with the little tin scuffer? great days boys,,,,,, great days.
In 77 the 125 would take a 100 motor as a direct bolt up. The 100 class was the biggest class in that era. Lots of guys where running that set up. I always wondered who could afford that as a kid, lol.
The aluminum tanks on the old RMs were a work of art, although the filler could have been larger. The box swingarm was the most noticeable change between the 76 and 77 models. I had a 76 that I ran box stock and could pull off holeshots. For $1,206 dollars out the door in 1977 you couldn't go wrong.
Owned a brand new 1975 Honda 125 Elsinore, bought it from Open Road Honda in NJ for $800 bucks... That bike barked and ripped all mid range to top... Silver tank red stripe... The good old days...
I had a 1976 Suzuki 250 RMB there was an A and a C also. Tony D won National championships not Grandprixs. Jimmy Weinhert was about the only guy that could run with him! I watched them race at Fogalsville National in PA.
I had the chance to ride the 76 RM 250 about 30 years ago. It was cool then and would be even better to have now. Those “older” bikes were not getting a lot of love at the time. I remember some trick about drilling 3 holes in the base of the piston but I can’t remember what it was for.
Bonjour à tous, toujours un plaisir de vous regarder nous présenter ses machines, super sympa les essais ces cool 👍👍👍😍😍Jérôme de France vous salut, peace men DIEU vous bénisse
Looks like 76 with 77 swing arm 76 have a tubular one the 77 have a bigger pipe and a longer front forks I have the three the 125 rm S 1975, the 250 rm A 76 and the 250 rm B 77 they are fantastic bikes
After that bike that year the end was there in the 250 class for Europe The indomitable Maico 490 soldiered on in the 500 class and was never bettered until the water cooled Honda Tony D had a factory bike with nothing in common save for the color
