  • Lost & Found | Luke 15:11-31 | Rev. Manoj Varughese
In this powerful sermon titled "Lost & Found," Rev. Manoj Varughese delves deep into the timeless parable of the Prodigal Son found in Luke 15:11-31. This message unpacks the profound truth that "the repentance is not what brings the kiss; the kiss is what brings the repentance."
Rev. Manoj emphasizes three critical points:
Grace Over Self-Discovery and Moral Confirmation: Neither the pursuit of self-discovery nor strict adherence to moral standards will bring us back to God. Our salvation comes solely by His grace.
Repentance Beyond Actions: True repentance involves acknowledging not only our wrongdoings but also the times we've relied on our good deeds to earn God's favor.
Responsibility for Others: As followers of Christ, we hold a responsibility to guide those around us back to the Father's love.
    Questions to Ponder:
Are we like the younger brother, lost in self-discovery and distant from the Father?
Are we like the elder brother, doing everything right yet unable to experience the Father's love and understand His heart?
Are we truly concerned for our brothers, sisters, friends, and colleagues who need to experience Christ's love?

The eldest was obedient & kept the word of his father. The younger fell into sin & suffering. As far as the father was concerned he had died. But in repentance & leaving his ways of sin, the father forgave him & celebrated the return of his son. The happiness & pleasure is of the father having both his sons back in his life again.
    * The sons remain Abel & Cain as it was in the beginning.
