If you only ever needed 2 lenses it would be 28-70 F2 + 70-200 F2.8 II
Hell Yea so dam spicy.
Great video, but first time I don't share your opinion. Too big, too pricey for a 2.0 instead of 2.8. Character? Trace amounts. For this kind of money I'll rather get two excellent lenses with actual character.
I mean I did say it had a HINT of character haha. It’s no Helios. The size I don’t find too big at all. Pricey.. sure but compared to the competition it’s similar. I can say, I think anyone who’s about to buy a 24-70 F2.8.. they should maybe save up a little more to jsut get this. Cause this will replace the need for a lot of clinical primes
If you want to stand out from other 24-70 2.8 lens this looks nice
@@cammackeyMakes sense. How would you see this vs. the Tamron 35 150 then? Assuming the 28 mm is of no interest.
Great Video!
100k subs on the way
So close!
Great review! That lens flare is not great! So green
I think it’s great, but when it does hit a certain way it can be eh. Again I was shooting straight into the sun 😂
oh maaaan i want this :)
AKA my living room LMAO
I've seen several reviews and the flare is pretty bad. It's not a pleasant flare. I guess it's unavoidable with glass design that complex.
The flare is kind of a bummer but I mean I’m shooting directly into the sun, it’s not like it’s a huge deal if it’s only there when you’re shooting into the sun.
You want character you go Fuji or Leica…everyone else’s is just trying to replicate
Fuji only had a couple character options. But.. I own a Leica M11, MP, Q343, couple Leica lenses and some Thypoch lenses. So I know what you mean ;)
@@cammackey Have you tried any Voigtlander lenses for character on the sony?
I might argue that the 50mm f/1.2 also have character not because that is extreme sharp edge to edge, but there is something with it that separate it from the other lenses. The contrast, colors are very pleasing when shooting weddings
At all f stops or just wide open as well? F1.2 is a little much for me personally
@@cammackey sharp wide open with little improvement in sharpness in the corners stopped down to f/2.0. Center is always sharp and with good contrast. The feel is kinda Zeiss Planarish . The 50 f/1.4 is more clinical. Worth a try for movie and stills if it happends to fall into your hands :)
The clinical argument for Sony lenses is nonsense, when you shoot raw it doesn't matter, not to mention that when u just slap on a black mist filter you get all the character you can have
That‘s wrong, it‘s about the lens rendering, such as the bokeh (smooth, busy, harsh), CAs, field curvature, … many factors play a role.
i won't be buying this lens , thanks for the video !
Appreciate it, glad you got some value from the video!
