As someone who only does tags and throws I totally agree with GR here. Throws are a crutch for me cuz I'm kinda scared to get into piecing since there are so many good writers out there right now making these insane pieces everywhere. But my throws are clean and my tags are decent and I will get into piecing eventually. I'm just enjoying myself too much right now, bombing the block. Stay up friendos!

Pink dots and color place was how i came up. Mainly for fills cause they do leak A LOT in warm/cold weather. Rusto fat for the outline helps keep it clean. Damn this brings me back GR
straight up using colorp and rusto all day use a RESP people!
I use to get touch n tones from my local 98 cent store and I also use to get them from some random liquor store that actually sold paint near my old highschool.

Boston caps actually make flat black quick color a decent throw fill, or at least it used to be, Kilz stock caps can help too. And yes I think spraying out some of the gas and mixing it hella good can help! Bay Area represent!
The trick is to NOT shake the dollar paint. The pigment settles and collects at the bottom of can and it doesn't clog because the pigment to solution ratio is not balanced.
I left some upside down and slowly turned them sideways so the pigment was at the top and I could spray out some solvent then I shook em before I bombed so it didn’t clog

Elemer spray glue cap was better then the boston fat in my opinion

TH-cam knows my economic situation well if I'm getting recommended best dollar cans
I heard for the quick color the best cap to get sharp lines and avoid the faded look is the Elmer’s spray adhesive cap. Don’t think the Elmer’s flares (Astro for black, pink dot for white), but it’s worth giving a try if you use dollar cans.

The other night I went to 4-5 spot with the color place black and once it started raining and the temp dropped the ny fat started dumping paint like the pink dot did I didn’t have my gloves on but it’s so cheap just water took it off
How would you compare Acme to Rustoleum, Flame, etc. ?

That locking up and excess paint at valve stem happens quite often 4 me. I'm in Philly so it gets pretty cold I think that s got a big part of it. I don't have as many problems in warmer weather. I use the mostly 4 fills and practice alot though! I ain't rich!!
Maybe i'm kinda late to the party but actually are there any shops/places that have the dollar cans but with some sort of worldwide shipment that price is still tempting even at european standards, also nice vid, peace!

On all my female cans (which are somewhat older/dollar cans), they almost all spit paint out of the valve when I use my Montana caps, not sure why?

I remember you saying thinner formulas spray fatter because its more solvent and less pigment- hence why the foam window cleaners spray so fat.. This makes me wonder if rusto would spray just as fat if they went back to female valves.. I always wonder how much pressure is lost when using an adapter.

Forgot to say that those colorplace cans will not flare when hot. Summer time they won't work.. you will have to put them on ice. You know in a bag of ice. ...so that means the cold builds up pressure.....yup. later... almost forgot.... they sell paint called rust control spray enamel. Also same...cans must be cold to work.....but that one Is thicker paint. Flares Great. NYF or Pink.... like 3 bucks. Walmart
Any tips for Happy color cans from Saratoga?
I want good flare tags but it sucks even with astro fatcap. Idk is it the pigment or the valve system.
I tried lowering the pressure, it went cleaner but no flares. So what's the best tip for making the paint thicker/thinner for good flares?
