  • Your payslip in Ireland is a statement from your employer that outlines your gross pay, taxable pay and deductions-Pay As You Earn (PAYE) Income Tax, Universal Social Charge (USC), Pay-Related Social Insurance (PRSI) and others like Unions, Health Insurance, pensions etc. depending on your personal circumstances,
    Every Payslip includes:
    1. Personal and work related information such as your Personal Public Service (PPS) number, your employer name, the pay period , and the pay date.
    2. The payment items or pay elements making up your Total or Gross Pay that you earn from your employer.
    3.Statutory Deductions of Pay As You Earn (PAYE) Income Tax, Universal Social Charge (USC), Pay-Related Social Insurance (PRSI).
    4. Voluntary contributions/deductions.
    5. Details of PRSI rates, Tax Status, Tax credits and Standard Rate Tax Band or cut-off point.
    6. You Net pay which is your gross pay less deductions.

    Is the PAYE amount is same for all, or some people pay 20 percent and others pay less?
