I hadn’t heard of her either. Audiences are switching to Podcasts as it appears Network media are showing their true colors…lies and deceit Fox willl be cancelled like CNN if they don’t wake up…. Melissa thx for standing up for your values. 👍
Great Show. As a Fox Fan, Melissa was one of the reasons I watched both Fox Business as well as Outnumbered. I'm so so disappointed she was treated this way and can only imagine how shocked she was. I hope she receives the justice she deserves and this is a wake up call for Fox to better. As a fan, I'm proud she did what she did. It confirms she is the same person on air as off-Awesome and fiercely authentic!
What a wonderful interview...loved getting to know Melissa Francis. Kudos to her for asking for fair pay, no matter the outcome. I wish her well as she moves forward from this unfairness.
So, she believed she deserved more based on alleged salaries of male counterparts? You aren’t supposed to discuss salaries, yet she went around inquiring about others’ salaries… hmmm
Wow I never cared about Megyn when she was on tv but I love her now that she has her own podcast. She seems so relaxed and her interviewing style so comforting to her guests. I really like her now!
This conversation had me so drawn in. Both of you are wonderful to watch. I really commend Melissa for standing up for what she found and believes is right, not only for herself, but for others. I wouldn’t take it sitting down either. I wish only good things for her. She seems like a very genuine person. Thanks for another great episode. Just signed up for your Friday newsletter too.
Melissa is such an open & delightful person. I remember her most from Fox News -total professional! Michael Landon sat behind us at Grauman's Chinese in Hollywood for the opening of Star Wars in 1977. I'll never forget his big boisterous laugh! Not a big man but with an enormous laugh! Melissa's story is so moving. Thanks to both of you - really exemplary women!
Megan, another excellent interview. In-depth, interesting, informative & fun. You were right, Melissa Francis has had a very interesting life. I'm so happy, she was one of the few rare Child Actor's to find balance & family harmony....
Imagine being in the military in the 70’s - no HR, very few female officers (outside of medical), it was hell! To pass along what my mother taught me “know your worth, never quit and always stand your ground”! We must continue to teach and lift our young ones up - their value is our tomorrow!!
Love how she said the most important part is to be honest with oneself (and others) and be willing to look at oneself. What an insightful, wise, intriguing and beautiful interview - from both of them!
My daughter was a local reporter and loved it. She started in a small market and retired from Atlanta. Local reporting is so much better than the nets.
Great interview with Melissa! I was a big fan of her time at FNC, though I never connected the dots of her time on Little House until later, which I was an avid fan from the beginning. I always loved she was so authentic.
This was a really interesting show. I learned a lot about Melissa (and Megyn) and found it very thought provoking on a lot of levels. Two very strong and impressive women.
This conversation just took me to another level about any television news media. I loved watching both of you, ladies, and appreciate (so much) your honesty about news and updated information. I'm not in the news media world but also experienced something very similar back in the 1980's as a young lady going out into the 'job world' and having a real eye opener about the way an office works run by men. I'm so glad you are both standing strong! Keep up the great work that you do.
Miss you Melissa! You are a genuine gem who stands out as a SMART and brave woman in media. So thankful for your rational request that is exposing and shaking the dark underbelly - again! Let there be light!!!!
To me, it would be refreshing to be spoken to as bluntly as Diane Brandy spoke to Melissa. You don't have to like it, but clarity is more important than agreement as Dennis Prager always says. Melissa Francis was always a smart, insightful and likeable personality at FNC. Obviously, we're all replaceable, but it's pretty obvious to me after having watched her for many years that she is a very high quality person who is far harder to replace than most, and was likely fired unjustifiably.
Retaliation is an epidemic in corporations. I experienced it myself after bringing to light the harassment, hostility and targeting of specific staff members by supervisors/managers at a very well known package delivery company. I witnessed work colleagues being sworn at, yelled at, lied about, belittled and scorned along with several of my other colleagues. Several staff members from the same office (different shifts) reported the incidents (multiple incidents with audio recordings) on a regular basis and this well known package delivery company's HR dept ignored the reporting and the audio recordings and targeted the staffers reporting the illegal activity while protecting the supervisors/managers who 'broke' company 'policies' (in regard to harassment/hostility/retaliation) not to mention the law. It was unlike anything I've ever seen in my life. The corruption is unreal. AND women in 'leadership' roles - within this well known package delivery company - were the worst offenders; from management, HR and supervisory roles.
I too loved my job. Felt grateful for all the opportunities. HR is not your friend. They are there to protect the company. It took me 8 years to prove they discriminated and retaliated against me. Firing me after I went to EEOC to report discrimination. Then offered me thousands of dollars when they fired me but couldn’t claim it unless I cancelled the EEOC report. The worst part is it ruins your career and your confidence getting new work. Johnson v. Southwest Research Institute.
I too experienced similar actions like Melissa, and yourself. My job wasn't the best, but the company paid for insurance, and a 401k. Along with Melissa, I did some research thru the internet, and investment papers in about a six month period. I discovered that for the skills that were required for my I T position, and it was a fairly cerebral job, the salary did not match the position. The person that worked the other shift filed a lawsuit against the company with the human rights commission of the state. I was also sexually harassed, and left after accruing one month's vacation. Sadly the person that harassed me had the resources to keep me from obtaining other gainful employment. I got the "Monica Lewinsky" treatment. Apparently most people have the same experience.
I've never watched Megyn on t.v. only because I was so busy with life and watching non-news type shows but glimpsed here and there of her programs. With that said, I was always impressed with her intelligence and her ability to articulate her point of view and interview people on her show, etc. in a way that was not boring and fake. I'm glad I clicked and started listening to her on her social media platform such as this. So informative! I'm glad she is not under the thumb of the networks who, in my opinion, are more like propaganda machines. I will continue to click on this TH-cam channel of hers for content such as this.
Megyn needs to get over her hatred of Fox News. Fox made Megyn Kelly. One would think after her debacle at NBC she would have shown humility and soul searching.
Dude, you need to walk a mile in Megyn’s moccasins. She doesn’t need to get over shit. It’s her life man. She can bitch or whatever if she wants to. I bet you’re perfect though-right. I’ll criticize Megyn’s show a lot, but I do t know her so i don’t make it personal. Btw Megyn, I’m pretty critical on some of these guests, and I’m pretty macho, but not in the bad way. I have to say I loved this interview. This lady is so sweet and she’s an inspiration to me. Not very macho huh? 🙏😊✌️🤙🏻
Megyn and Melissa -- I admire your courage for hanging in there. So many women DO NOT have a well-paid husband to fall back on, so just have to suck it up in the face of so much bigotry and abuse. Do either of you know if the salary parity improved at FOX after the lawsuit?
Did she seriously think that Fox would care about fairness? Its brand stands for bias, rudeness and unfairness. And both these ladies were complicit in its agenda till they were not.
Melissa was my favourite (and the prettiest) on the Fox morning show. Missed her when she disappeared. Watching the interview showed me why I liked her - her independent, freedom-loving thinking resonated.
Great show - great conversation. I used to work for a broadcast station - but in the offices. I was let go in a pretty cold handed way and I feel without merit other than my age. Some others were let go as well and it was called a reorganization. Since my job brought in a lot of revenue, I was really just stunned and then had to question - to myself - why me and not someone more junior. After this reorganization - new positions were created at a much higher level with more money but basically doing the same job. So none of it made sense other than to speculate it could have been a case of age discrimination. I never followed up on it and its been 4 years ago now - but it has haunted me since then.
Oh wow this was such a good interview. I LOVED Missy on LHOTP. I feel like I could be best friends with Megan and Melissa and we would have SUCH fun talking and laughing all night long.
That is so true at time stamp 20:28. My mother was a sociopath. She was so cruel. Same with the money too. My 2nd and 3rd husbands were sociopaths. I was 14 when I met my 1st husband; he was 19. My 4th husband had been raped by a Catholic priest for 7 years as a child. I was broken, and every man I've been with was broken.
Oh my gosh, I remember Rodney Allen Rippy. I am a CA girl too and my parents had people asking to put me in “the biz”. I am so glad they said no. It was a pretty crazy world.
I remember Melissa (Missy) and her sis Tiffany from our riding school, Foxfield, in the 80s. Missy had a beautiful mare named Alondra. So interesting to hear about these other parts of their lives.
Melissa didn't talk about her on-air incident where she cut Newt Gingrich off and said something weird roughly supporting George Soros that day (Outnumbered). The next day, Harris Faulkner gave a vague apology on-air. It was puzzling, but soon after, Melissa disappeared. They could have been upset with her about that, and the fact that she is a little weak on-air. As good as she is, Melissa could be replaced with better. And she was.
That was a weird interview; the silence of the entire group, including Melissa and Harris, when Gingrich (correctly) alluded to Soros' support of leftist violence. They looked like deer in the headlights. I lost a lot of respect at that point, but I still think Melissa was the most competent and fearless on-air talent and Harris is first rate as a host. I only watch the Faulkner Focus now. But it was something I had to see for myself to see the cowardice of Fox.
@@bmariechristine848 True. th-cam.com/video/Br7Nxm3n3S4/w-d-xo.html has the Fox News Melissa clip (sorry it's Bill O'Reilly commenting on it if you hate Bill, but for all his flaws, he is insightful here...). I guess Melissa was trying to keep Fox from being nuisance-lawsuit sued by Soros's endless money lawyers. She has NEVER come clean on this incident. Mystery, which, to me, indicates Melissa is dishonest at best. Fox could simply say "That's why she was fired.", and maybe bring up her lack of a quick wit or some other performance issue on-air.
Although I watch Fox over the other news organizations I'm seriously pissed off that this happened to Melissa. What is Melissa up to now? Does she have a podcast? Is she doing another book? Thanks Megyn for a great interview. I'm a huge fan of yours and so glad to get to hear from you again 5 days a week! 😀
I remember that episode of Little House on the Prairie! I remember being so traumatized when the camara showed the hand sticking out from underneath the wagon. I don't know why it was so upsetting for me, but I've always remembered that scene.
Well, kudo's to Melissa, she has the courage, which should be mandatory, but is seldom a thought: especially in Hollywood. Great share Megyn. It goes to show, in the final analysis, that stars are human and, as in Melissa's case, completely blind the public as to their pain and suffering. Catch-word, Be Kind!!
Great show! People are under the illusion that you will be treated fairly and respectfully working under women. I have had amazing female bosses and then there are the other ones - conniving, manipulative, and underhanded. At the end of the day, people are just people...the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thanks for standing up for those hurt by the bad and ugly.
god bless you sweet pea i can relate having a sibling ith addiction and we had trauma as kids that was a knock on effect towards our family dynamics thanks for this interview it helps people to know they have not been alone with this type of family trauma 🇬🇧❤️
It's absolutely sad and excruciatingly unfair that even in today's day and age pay disparity for men vs women exists across the world and sectors. Irrespective of how talented, educated and hardworking a woman is...... The unfair pay disparity exists.
i always enjoy watching when MF is on the show. Both of you gals are a great watch, I remember the AR Ripey commercials for MCD's. And you Meg. I'm a Rochesterian, I am so proud of you, being a neighbor or yours. Just think you gals are great!
When Fox anchors or hosts dismiss valie complains that you have to do your own research to find parts of the story their ignoring then lose ratings about it and complain, they expect to have it both way, I wondered what happen to Milisa, glad to see she's doing okay.
Great interview. I feel for her in that to fight for the truth and justice is painful. However, she will clear the way for other women in the workplace. It is those people that stand up for the truth that make the difference. If we all reach deep and fight versus succumb to injustice, the world changes for the better. Go get em!
Wow! I did not know any of this. And when Melissa was describing what happened with her at her last broadcast, I was thinking, “We’re talking about 🦊or CNBC?” What they did was almost juvenile. Not almost. It was just that! I truly hope and pray that this company is treated better by the Department of Labor than Melissa, and in turn all of the employees that have been dealt with illegally, was treated by a company she’d worked so hard and successfully for over nine years.
I hope you think that it was worth it. It doesn't sound like it destroyed your life by any means and you we able to stick up for what you thought was right. Not many people have the guts to do that and you can be proud of that for the rest of your life. You will probably install that courage to your children as well.
Great video! Megyn I hated what they did to you and hate what they did to Melissa. I watch Fox and Newsmax as right now they tell the truth more than the others. Wouldn't it be great to have a real news channel. The truth and nothing but the truth! Best of luck to both of you and Kevin as well!!
I started following MK on IG, and she's really interesting to listen too. Loved her podcast on Meghan Markle- her comments are too funny but true!! On another note, I know of a few that moved to West Hollywood to pursue a career in the film industry, but there seems to be little support for new entertainers in LA. Seems like family is the main support-both financially and mentally- to help the individual. Not everyone has family that can do this. Wondering what other options are out there to help support individuals pursuing the industry.. rents are high in Hollywood but another huge expense can be auto insurance rates which triples in West LA area (Insurance companies say rates are high due to location) compared to other states. A reliable car is must for those in film industry -with auditions. So glad for Melissa who seemed to be stronger after going through her experience. Very inspiring!
They say narcissists are made, not born. We still don't know what really causes narcissusts, psychopaths or sociopaths. But it is not uncommon for narcississts to raise a child who is highly empathetic. You grow up that way trying to keep peace in the family. There is a fine line between narcissism & sociopathy.
Wonderful interview. Her comments about her Mom and her sister were heartbreaking. Thanks for having her on.
I’ve never heard of Melissa before this. What a quality person.
I hadn’t heard of her either. Audiences are switching to Podcasts as it appears Network media are showing their true colors…lies and deceit Fox willl be cancelled like CNN if they don’t wake up….

You might check out Little House on the Prarie with her as the baby girl, then toddler.

Drowned your sorrows in your mega bucks with your husbands making plenty, too ……..ohhhh K
Interesting interview. Melissa Francis has guts. She has my respect. So does Megyn Kelly
Terrific interview with Melissa Francis.
I appreciate this show. Thank you to Melissa, Kevin, Megyn and her team.
I always liked Melissa Francis. She was/is a real person so I naturally always thought her to be honest and credible.
You are so right about finding healthy love if you’ve grown up with emotional or physical abuse
Thank you Melissa, from the bottom of my heart, for standing up for women everywhere. You’re a rock star in my book!
Wonderful guest Megyn.
Melissa is an amazing person. All the best to her and her family.
Bravo girl!!!! So proud of you fighting the fight!

Yup had to deal with HR bull shit, started my own business and doubled my income, now I'm HR life's much easier.
Bless your hearts. What a hero and what amazing women you both are. xx
Deepest respect for Melissa Francis and also for Megan Kelly.
Great interview! Great job Megyn.
Great video. Love Melissa . Very intelligent.
I love Megyn Kelly was so sad to see her leave Fox news back in the day. Glad she's got her own show now
This is so sad, thank you for sharing. Melissa said“It is shocking this day in age that there is a danger for speaking up”
Always like watching Megyns shows. It's rare to have honest show theses days.. God bless.
Fascinating show. Fairness and blessings to Melissa❤
This was a great show! I loved her story.
Excellent interview, ladies, excellent. Please have Melissa return, love your vibes together. I listened twice..you're the best Miss M!
Melissa seems like a wonderful person. Good interview
You will never walk alone friends who have lost loved ones. Keep the faith and WE WILL ALL meet again.
I read her memoir. Unforgettable.
Megan, another excellent interview. In-depth, interesting, informative & fun. You were right, Melissa Francis has had a very interesting life. I'm so happy, she was one of the few rare Child Actor's to find balance & family harmony....

I could never survive in this type of situation. You all are so strong.
Love how she said the most important part is to be honest with oneself (and others) and be willing to look at oneself. What an insightful, wise, intriguing and beautiful interview - from both of them!
I have absolutely missed Melissa so much. Wondered where she was. Thank you for doing this.
Very moving!
Outstanding interview. It supports thoughts that the entertainment and media industry operates by a different set of rules. Unbelievable situation.
Great interview. Miss seeing both of you on the tube.
Great clip, Megan. Keep them coming. Cheers!
WOW - Words can not describe how much I liked tonights show - Cheers Ladies
Well done both great women!
My daughter was a local reporter and loved it. She started in a small market and retired from Atlanta. Local reporting is so much better than the nets.

She asks such a gentle question. Wow! What a woman!
God bless you both ✝️
I enjoyed watching Melissa and was sad she was gone.
Such a bold interview is hard to hear these days! Well done❤️

i always enjoy watching when MF is on the show. Both of you gals are a great watch, I remember the AR Ripey commercials for MCD's. And you Meg. I'm a Rochesterian, I am so proud of you, being a neighbor or yours. Just think you gals are great!
Wow really interesting interview
Intelligent program!
Great program wonderful.
