    Say for example my stock is larger than the area im cutting into. Should you make the work origin where the machine will start to cut or the corner of your stock?

      You can do it either way, I personally like to use the corner of the stock and place the model slightly inside the stock to make sure the toolpath is clear of the anchorpoints.

    How can i enter the rotation speed from the 4th axis (RPM)?

    • @Makera
      @Makera  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The feedrate would determine the RPMS of the 4th axis.

      @@Makera Thanks but the feed rate versus RPM is not the same. How smaller the diameter gets by the same feed rate would increase the RPM. But okay, if i only can set the feed rate than i think that the firmware have no option for setting the RPM itself. I'm correct?

    Does setting the x and y to zero set the work origin or path origin to zero?

    • @Makera
      @Makera  ปีที่แล้ว

      The path origin

      @@Makera Do we need to be able to manually zero the work origin, as the path changes for each gcode file?

    • @Makera
      @Makera  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jamesong1085 Sorry, a correction, the X=0 and Y=0 action is to set the work origin, not the path origin.

    What's the range of the vacuum power ?

    • @Makera
      @Makera  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The range is 0-100 is in the diagnostics tab, and the default value is set between 50-100 in the basic settings tab.

    Can I: 1. upload a photo-files (like jpeg) then laser garver it 2. upload a cutting file to cut the picture printed out from the plate? Material to process is karat gold

    • @Makera
      @Makera  ปีที่แล้ว

      You would need to upload the jpeg to cam software that can produce the engraving and the cut file. I am launching a video tutorial on creating laser engrave files in a few weeks. We have not run tests on gold yet, the machine is not aimed at hard metals, only soft metals like aluminum and brass, I think you would also need special milling bits to cut gold and coolant depending on size.

    • @elfillari
      @elfillari ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Makera even the gold, copper and silver are not a hard metals either, they should bend to be cabable to use with the Carvera? I'm very keen on seing the results on both caving and cutting the gold in mm thick range! There would be a huge market in the field of artesanial jewelleries.

    • @Makera
      @Makera  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think this would be worthy of a test, will see if I can put something together in a few weeks to test this.
