Hey Everyone!
At 13:21 I somehow pulled a Tier 3 card. When building the deck I used Tier 1 cards on top, then Tier 2 in the middle and finally Tier 3 on the bottom. The Nemesis deck is built this was to ensure it scales in difficulty as we go along. So I will be correcting this going into the next one. How you ask? I'm going to simply recover Gravehold to 30 and put this card back into the Tier 3 section of the Nemesis deck. I will have to pull an additional card from the Nemesis deck and resolve it. We'll see how it impacts gameplay but this goof occured on the second Nemesis turn order card so it shouldn't be an issue. Big thanks to Dawghoss for pointing this out! Cheers!
Good start Adam. I dont have this expansion but i have everything from Aeon's End and love it to death. Get those gems built up early doors mate as you'll reap the benefits of them later on for buying better spells. Get the loot, get the shazzams! Always try and get at least one breach open for each character early as well. Its all about those gems baby!

Awesome playthrough on a great game!!!! Love your channel keep up the good work. Just wondering could you have kept the illumate spell on the open breach this turn to try maximize the damage each turn, as you opened another breach you could have done one damage this turn and then you could have prepped the spark and done two damage on your next turn? Thank you for your hard work on these videos.

I just found out about this game randomly yesterday. As a fan of Marvel Legendary and other Deckbuilding games I have to say that this game is really interesting me. I may have to buy it to play with friends.

Rolling Solo I actually just discovered that they made a digital version of the game. It just released out of early access on steam a few days ago

As always... Thanks! for sharing. One of my fav games is Thunderstone. And, I really like LOTR LCG and Marvel Champions LCG. Aeon's End is what one might get if Thunderstone and MC LCG had a child! :-) I just got Aeon's End and am excited to play it. Your video is helping me toward getting that done.
Have you played Aeon's End Legacy? If so, if you don't mind, will you share your thoughts on it?
Aeon’s End Legacy is a great entry point into the series if you’re new and/or you want a connected scenario style experience. If you’re looking for the standard way in (non-legacy) than The New Age or War Eternal get my vote!
The basic spell of yan is very powerfull while prepped. You should have kept it and focusing twice by turn that would have dealt 4 damages instead of 2... And yiu could keep on going like that every turn...

Hello, nice work on the videos (I don't comment on all of them just the game i know ;) ). Just an idea, maybe you could put a link to the current KKS in your description ? I can't wait to see what the added Legacy element will do to the gameplay. Strategy wise you should prepp illuminate and try as hard as you can to focus all your breaches. And watch out for the Aurora. While prepped, once per turn you gain a charge (even on the turn you are putting it out). I mean isn't the return on this one great ? :)

Maze is the best character in the game but his first turn basically is required maintenance where you simply only breach two and prep that spark. After that you can work on making him super amazing

19:58 Could you have held onto [Illuminate] for another point of damage since you were going to open a breach right away? Or is the "While prepped" effect on [Illuminate] only good for the first time it is prepped?

Thanks Charlie! These came in the Kickstarter pledge but you could even pickup something very similiar to them in a craft store. I believe the current Aeon's End Legacy Kickstarter has the pack avaliable with it as an add-on to get the crystals. Cheers!

Good start to the playthrough.
Even though you are going to take back the nemesis tier 3 card, you applied the three unleashes incorrectly. The unleash states 2 damage is applied to any player. You applied the damage to Gravehold not the players. Just a heads up for the next unleash that comes along.
Hey Dareau, thank you! According to 18:18, two damage is only applied if there is 'one' nemesis card in the discard pile. I had 'two' nemesis cards in the discard at that point so the damage would be applied to Gravehold. However, this doesn't matter as you mentioned because I'll be reversing this card due to it being Tier 3. Thanks for watching and the feedback!

I see the dice and gems are part of the upgrade pack in the new kickstarter, where did you get yours? I at least was going to grab a few d10s to clean up the damage tokens, but do you think it's worth it for the charges etc?
I think all of it could be done using other materials from a craft store or hobby shop minus the dice. That's up to you and there are other games that use colored gems as well. So you could borrow across games in your own collection. Mine came from the last Kickstarter for Aeon's End: War Eternal when they were first introduced. Hope this helps Scott!

I love your set up Adam.... Just so you know this video series forced me to go out and buy the Accessory Pack from the latest Kickstarter, before I wasn't going to spend the extra $20 on it because it is cosmetic but watching the use of the life counters that cosmetic is worth it... Also I invest into Uberstax... I play solo all the time and find table space and hand control is an issue. So seeing how you set this up was amazing... I am going to have to use these for a lot of my games (specially Aeon's End, Gloomhaven, and KDM)
Now for my question, I want to know your thinking. On your first turn you used all of Maza's ether to buy Yan a spell. Personally I would of used all the ether to open your second breech.... What was your strategic reasoning to do this? I want to know if I am missing something in my strategy.
Great to hear I was able to help you out in deciding on some additions to your games Jason. I use UberStax in a large number of my games. Super handy! My plan was to get Yan's two breachs open and use jagged lighting if nastier minions show up. I want to be ready for them in case! :)
See I knew there was a reason.... Yeah that is a pretty good plan. That is why I wanted to watch your play thru. This game is so hard and man every little bit of strategy helps

Hey Jason! Absolutely, I always want interaction during the playthroughs. I take everyone's feedback into consideration. Doesn't mean I'll follow it 100%, as I have my own strategy and plan as well. The interaction between all of us is what makes the community here special. I want people to know they have a say in the playthroughs and feedback is always considered!

I'd go after the Legacy version if I were you. If you're into the legacy mechanics. Otherwise the prior ones are awesome!
