    Really liked Laura's comment about putting them in a position to work on their weaknesses. Couple years of that we'll have 2 complete players that are monsters.

    Love the show guys never miss an episode. I think Dach is too talented to play on the 3rd line. I can definitely see him in the top 6.

      Based on their when-drafted position, Dach may even, eventually give Suzuki a run for his money as number one centre

  • @moonobservergilles5730
    @moonobservergilles5730 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    with Anderson that would be a heavy punch line

  • @idarthcadeus

    Until he shows he deserves it, Dach has to start on the third line. Dvorak makes more money, has more experience and quite frankly is a much better center man right now. It's all up to Dach where or if he fits in on this team.

    If MSL thinks that Slav can play on top line and everyone is questioning him why isn't anyone questioning MSL coaching ?

    You forgot to mention that Kirby Dach was rammed into NHL at 18, That might be a big factor in his development, His injuries and underachieving over the last 3 years, He should of been playing in the CHL at 18 and 19 not the NHL. How many players have we seen that have been rammed in the NHL at 18 have their Careers fizzle, Two recent Habs careers with Galchenyuk and KK. As far as Slafkovsky goes his two line mates should be playing with the Erie Otters of the OHL.

    There’s at best 4 teams worst than Mtl right now. CH has a great shot at being bottom 5.

    For the next mailbag, would like your opinion on the following line combos, Suzuki,caufield, and dandandov, Anderson, Drouin, and Divorak, then Dach, Gally, and Slafkosky, Evans, Pitlick, Armia/Byron, with Hoffman ready to replace Whoever gets hurt,

  • @keithgreene6641
    @keithgreene6641 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Dach center Anderson on wing and Armia and get them to cycle the puck and play hard heavy hockey and for Slav try him on top line to give them some size let him fail some and learn this year is about getting rid of bad money and term contracts and letting the young kids play and gain some NHL experience and draft well get ready for 2 to 3 years from now to have a stacked back end and front end will have to find top goal tender

    I think laura's being a little generous with that bottom ten finish. I think one thing that factors into this is the fact that their division is really really strong. they may not be a worse team than say njd but they do face better teams, if you know what I mean?

    • @22PaperDolls
      @22PaperDolls 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also what do you guys think about the idea of Jake Allen to VGK?

    • @22PaperDolls
      @22PaperDolls 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, speaking of goalies, I would love if you guys can find a goalie expert to talk about every goalie in our system? Maybe someone in Europe who knows more of those guys (Sorry for the triple text equivalent of a comment lol)

    I think a GRIT line with big Dach , Slav, and Gallagher will drive defenders crazy, the Suzuki, Caulfield line, needs our best playmaker who played with 22 year olds in college and won every award MVP and scoring with 72 assists, Sean Farrell A playmaker beyond any on the team to give Cole and Suzuki a step above on the first line. That leaves Dadonov, Dvorak, and Masar, as the 3rd line. I believe Drouin will have his life in place and become the free agent we couldn't afford. GHG!!

    • @brendanaucoin
      @brendanaucoin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Masar, Beck, and Evans are some candidates for the 4th line. the D is future solid unless Price comes back like a 22 year old Phenom, I can dream!!! BUTT this is a strong rebuild with MSL AS THE architech!!! It's promising....

    both dach and slavlovsky would benefit from play makers who need a big body to bruise the opponents. so slavkovsky with suzuki and dach with gallager or even drouin if he's revocered his game. gallager would show dach the top compete game as well as defense, and anderson with them gives a lot of size and speed.

  • @jjevans1693
    @jjevans1693 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Slav Suzuki Anderson
    Dandanov Dach Caufield
    It won't happen because Drion, Gallagher and Hoffman will stunt the development of these players and not allow this line up. This is unfortunate because this line up would be the best for all these players development . Aswell as being our best top 6 in a long time.

    They’re gonna be a puck possession team, with 4 or 5 puck moving D, they’ll be fine, and they have better goaltendingthen half the teams in the league….

  • @benoitbrouillette6481
    @benoitbrouillette6481 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Lane Hudson is a very very long shot just to play in the NHL for the same reason Dach and Slafkovsky aren’t, size!
    If he ever plays regular, he’ll have 6’4” 230lbs forward that’ll go in the corner against him and will just stand in front of the goaltender and he’ll stand there like a small child, not being able to move him. The only spot that may be available would be on the powerplay so he’d be a 5th or 6th defender at best. In respect, calling him a Calder contender is just not serious.
    We can’t have it both ways being excited for big, fast and heavy forwards at the same time of also being excited for a guy that would be in the 1% smallest defender ever.
    Still wish him the best!

    • @LockedOnCanadiens
      @LockedOnCanadiens  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We didn’t say he was a Calder *contender* just that players like him are the type to get votes for it. Huge difference.

      Doctors said he isnt finished growing, he has a rare bone condition that is slower but not for much longer. Unfortunate that most teams ignored him for this size when Theoren Flury was like 5’6 with skates
