    Absolutely AWESOME!!! Right up my alley. Got into the large currency regularly last few years...LOVE IT!!! Recently collecting consecutive sets, radar, fancy serial numbers. I have seen the currency market gain momentum and see a good future for it. Thank you for your time sir and a WONDERFUL share!!!

    “Green Backs” - that’s what my grandfather called them instead of Funny Money. I have a good amount of them. I also have some uncirculated and consecutive Silver Certs. Never folded and practically never touched. Mom was a bank teller and picked them up back in the day. Thanks for sharing…. Cool stuff.

    Love the design on the $20 gold certificate. Also understand paying a premium for national banknotes. I willingly paid a good premium for the one I have (also a smaller town)

    I pulled my collection out and did a few side by sides, and we're pretty darn close on price. IMO, $20 gold certificate is rising (Chicago is $300-450 varying mid-grade condition) educational note is $300-325, great buy! 1880 LT has so much eye appeal - interested in buying it!

    Hi Daniel...I watch all of your videos and find them interesting and educational. I'm still discovering some of the coin dealers and enthusiasts on TH-cam. I'm not new to coin collecting but relatively new to TH-cam. I ordered your $100 grab bag and I am really looking forward to its arrival. Just want to say hi and tell you that I think you provide a great service with your website and videos.

    My understanding is that "apparent" on a graded bank note is equivalent to a "details" grade on a coin.

    you know currency has been altered when it does not have an EPQ/PPQ. the ones without it are washed or pressed out to flatten the creases but still get a grade. even ones that are repaired get a grade with a NET designation. I guess they give grades to problem notes because you would not have any to sell if EPQ/PPQ were the only designation. the market for currency would be pretty non-existent. coins on the other hand don't wear out as easily or are fragile as currency I can see your point about grading problem coins with designations like currency but unfortunately the market is set, and it will never happen.

    • @CoinHELPu
      @CoinHELPu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not always the case for notes without EPG or PPQ. I've sent a lot of notes in that I know were not altered and they didn't receive. EPQ or PPQ.

    I've never really been into bills, they don't interest me that much. I did try to save the old $1, $5, $10 & $20 designs from the late 90s but someone stole them, I never did replenish them.

    Late to the party but I've come across some bills for sale that have obviously been cleaned. To the point where the ink has some fading and the paper has lost some of it's surface. Kind of fuzzy. Paper is very white not kind of ivory or beige like a normal note.
    Are these bills trash or some % of their normal value had they not been washed?
    Thx.
