Thank you so much for posting this, it looks like it was an amazing show and the ladies really have become masters of live performances. That said, I think that whoever directed this video did them a disservice IMHO. While the rapid, camera changes and multiple angles worked brilliantly on a chaotic song like Kingslayer, I found a whole concert shot like that too distracting. Half way through, I was begging for a fixed camera shot showing the girls dancing. The thing that sets BM apart is their synchronised choreography but I couldn’t enjoy it here because they cut to either a close up of each individual girl or a wide shot showing crowd hands. Moa and Momo are such an important factor to a BabyMetal concert and I feel that here they were treated as peripheral performers. Still it was a great concert and jealous of every single audience member. I love these girls, Kitsune Up!
Yeah , they could go less wild with the motion effect and rapid view changes .... after a while it was a bit tiring .... On the other hand the girls performance was nothing short of majestic ! the kami band was as always very very tight ...
@@greenderp A 60fps, single camera, front row fan recording of a concert is 1000 times better, it truly conveys the magic of a Babymetal concert (except for audio quality). AMUSE inc. has a lot to learn from fancams.
Wish I could watch it in theaters but my theater only is playing it on Sunday, at 2 pm. And I'm at work from 10-10 😭😭 One day I'll make it up to them, I'll go to their concert and make up for it haha
the sound was incredibly clean, but the bass felt a little too loud! I think it's fair for those who actually went to the cinema or have a good sound system at home to be able to feel the bass of the songs, which are a strong point even at live shows.
The girls and the Kami Band were great as usual. But for the post production team this was a big miss, which is surprising given their usual standards. The film editing was way off with frantic fast paced cuts that usually ended up focusing on the wrong things and missing signature BABYMETAL moments. Shots wavered in and out of focus and the film effects were amateurish. I am a huge BABYMETAL fan but this missed the mark.
I agree 110% with you on that one. There where so many cuts and poor compositions in the edit that you missed what the girls do on stage, it was almost unwatchable. Some will say that the fast cuts give it energy, BS, it's the girls that bring the energy, lets see more of them. The Legend MM show was way better to watch.
There might be a different edit on the Blu-ray like we have seen in the past between WoWoW and Blu-ray versions of shows. I hated the WoWoW cut of MM but the Blu-ray version was a thousand times better.

Hopefully the retail disc has better quality, given how BM has added cinematic aesthetics this time around, on top of underpinning it with Dolby Atmos sound (for which it has already won an industry award). Otherwise it's no better than watching a projector-like adaptation if I cast TH-cam to a smart TV. Also, when will Amuse officially issue the FOX_FEST concert on video? I note Electric Callboy released a Japan tour edition of their Tekkno album while performing there recently, for which they added only their own songs from the show as bonus tracks. That means BM fully owns the Ratatata (& Brand New Day) live recordings at Saitama Super Arena, as part of a full 10-song setlist. It was an expensive production, yet no proshot retail edition or even digital streaming (except for the recap movies) to help recoup the costs of staging it?
