Something needs to be done about the Mythic rank. Most people agree it is by far the most infuriating rank to push since it seems once you get there it starts pairing you with completely useless team mates and the matches start to be way too unbalanced were you'll get horrible randoms that shouldn't be out of bronze vs a decently skilled team. You'll tilt 5 or 6 matches on a row more than any other rank. Maybe add another rank in between, remove the ban phase since no one has any idea what to pick and what to ban and they just go whatever Brawler, etc.
OH SO THATS WHAT IT IS i keep getting actual vegetables in mythic i pushed m3 then went back to m1 cos of the npc 1-20 crows and spikes... it wasnt like that in any other rank
The real problem with mythic is reaching diamond and pushing past it is easy. But the actually skilled players most are in legendary or higher so its just ever bad player along with some good players are in mythic.
It's interesting because the mosifiers allowed characters like Frank, Gale and even Poco to rise in the right circumstances. Although many people say mods are broken, I think it's just a matter of banning properly, so the mods are not the problem but rather the bad randoms banning Hank or nor banning at all. When I was pushing to Masters it was infuriating to see people in Legendary not banning at all and gifting enemies brawlers like Nani on open maps (because I had to ban Leon since he is the best brawler in the current meta). Personally, I think Ranked is better than Power League because of not being able to derank below your section and mods making the matches mixed (except for Leon since he is so OP).
i feel like brawl stars wanted to create a ranked system similar to clash royale's "path of legends". imo, there is a lot of work to be done (especially with elo balancing) but I think once Brawl Stars acknowledges the feedback, ranked will be pretty fun. one of the ideas that I had was that there could be a masters, but there's masters+, where only the top 1,000 or top 5000 people are in this range (similar to radiant in valorant)
@@Cofpn usually high trophy brawlers like 1000 or even 900 makes people believe that.. they are good. because if they weren't good they wouldn't have high trop brawlers, andddd just like you said, in reality you dont need to have many trophys, unless your at masters, in there the game puts you as high as many trophies you have
I play since Carl came out and dont even have a brawler on rank 28 :( I don't even have a gold III mastery... But I had all the time great memories and relationship with the game:D The glitches, map maker with trophies and older times, I'll never forget them❤️
I feel like although ranked feels “easier to play” ( because ranked is more casual, it feels more convenient play whenever you feel like rather than PL), it definitely is not as competitive. Idk about the other servers, but in Brazil’s servers, bad to mid randoms were at Mythic III at max, now I see ppl with 4k 3v3 in L2
I think a good adjustment could be that you can ping the modifier. I played so many matches where we had no tank in big friend or Bea in quick fire... The people don't realise...
not being able to tilt below your rank is my favorite thing about ranked. before when i first hit mythic i stopped playing because i was too scared to tilt, but now you can just relax and not stress about it anymore
That’s the worst part about this new system. Making it a checkpoint system where you can’t derank is what puts all the trash players into the high ranks with the good players. It’s no longer skill based match making

I‘m currently legendary two and i play ranked as a duo with my friend. But our randoms are sooo bad. They have like 30k trophies and less. We have to report 9 out of 10 randoms we get because they‘re so bad. And this can‘t be. Like how are they so high in ranked. They pick like jacky and edgar on an open bounty map. It‘s just insane. So i stopped playing duos and switched to trios. The enemys are now way better, but we can handle that. Supercell needs to fix, that bad players can climb up the ranks so easily by just getting carried.
a few seasons ago i made it a goal to push at least one rank higher every season and ended up peak M2. i'm currently L3 in ranked and still mad that when i do hit masters in the next couple days it will mean absolutely nothing bc the game mode isn't competitive anymore
I think the one thing I like are the modifiers; they keep the matches more versatile and bring up potential new brawlers to be used. They do need to fix that some brawlers don't work in Quickfire, but other than that, they're pretty refreshing! I think there should be more classic matches, though.
Ur just a bad random that’s clueless to what game they’re playing and how it’s played….. play some solo showdown first and get 1 brawler to rank 35 before u even attempt to play ranked or any 3v3 mode, everyone with a brain and a slight bit of skill hates bad randoms like a pet peeve, if you don’t like how competitive it is I truly suggest you uninstall, it’s the best advise I can give for the better of the brawl stars community.
In the power league period of time, all you get is a few blink. That’s why people are not doing it. And now we can get bunch of skin from rank Starr drops, that’s the main reason to get pro player who don’t used to waste time on few blink pops out from no where. That is the true motivation/ reason of increasing number on master
Just some suggestions from me, At top right of the picking phase, you could just put how much elo u can gain or lose before u start the game second, make it like codm. So if u are like B1,S1,G1,D1,M1,L1 and masters exactly if u lose, u should have a protection score, if u lose all that protection score u tilt that rank.
I’m not saying that dodging should be allowed, but personally the reason I’ve lost my taste for ranked (similar with power league) is I would get brain dead people insta locking some awful picks, which is just beyond infuriating. It’s to the point where I would rather lose some amount of elo and be forced to not be able to play for a while rather than go through that game and feeling super tilted afterwards. I only made it diamond 3, but I just can’t stand to push anymore. I feel as though matchmaking in ranked should put total trophies into play as well, because I don’t understand how I can be matched with 6k trophy players while my teammates are all 40-50k. It just proves how inflated the elo is.
Honestly, I think what they should do is make it so that when you reach masters, they completely remove modifiers. That way, truly competitive players will basically be unaffected by the competitive mode.
Yeee it's kinda crazy how easy it is to get into masters. I just got it today. I played from 8500 to 9000 in less than 10 minutes. I wasn't even trying to get it I was just doing my ranked quests and I'm masters. It's kinda crazy how that is possible but in power league I was always around mythic 3. I mean I could have grinded to legy 1 in old power league but no way could I reach higher than that without grinding for days or even weeks.
I really like the new ranked. I think you could easily fix some of these issues. Like for the masters bad randoms issue just make it so you can derank from masters and that will immediately make it competitive again. But I like reaching Legendary I and not having to worry about bad randoms deranking me. I think if they introduce small differences between ranks like you said with the % for modifiers since that’s not as competitive, they can fix it. But for me as a casual player who played both, it’s not really close I prefer ranked. And I’m okay as a casual player not reaching masters, but I don’t want ranked to be pointless because I’m still competitive and I want to win and rank up and power league felt pointless after awhile. Also, you didn’t mention teams in ranked but I love that it’s been joined together and you can rank up with friends. It’s huge to prevent bad randoms or help club members. And team power league was pointless before.
honestly i am starting to think the modifiers are helping EVERYONE get to masters...i mean i dont hate it but now ranked is not like you have to have very high skill cap and need luck (i mean you need some skill) but reaching masters in power league was something else and it was sweaty ngl
In my opinion the amount of players playing ranked is very high that's why it's easier everyone is playing the ranked if the few players played ranked like before you will get so little elo like +20 or sometimes +1 but for now you get so much elo especially in EU
Its definetly not the most important point to make, but i feel like many players forget bs is like the most hyped mobile game rn, meaning there are lots of players in ranked (esp in comparison to pl before) which is leading to more overall points, so that might be another cause for the big rank inflations (esp considering pl was basically dead for many)
Before the update, I did not play or even tried in power league. I stayed in diamond/mythic because I didn’t care. The new ranked, I actually tried and played a lot to get to legendary. I’ve always knew before I could hit it but there was no incentive

Because legendary is easy. It took me a lot of grinding through sheer hell for mythic 3 in power league. I got legendary in a couple of days, its braindead
you cant make harder punishments for dodging because some people actually disconnect and get suspended for 3 hours just because their wifi cut out so if you make it harsher its really unfair
You’d have to disconnect multiple times in a row to be suspended. And if you disconnect so frequently to the point where you get suspended, how often do you disconnect in-game? How would that be any different than purposefully griefing games? I’d say it’s completely reasonable.
how about they add a ranked modifiers mode and a non modifier ranked mode they add more ranks or like you said expand the ranks from bronze 3 to bronze 4 or 5 with every rank or add more ranks like emerald champion grand champion platinum etc
Spen I think what you're missing is there are more new players now than ever and so many people are starting to play again for the first time in years. I think Brawl Stars is at its best state ever in terms of being polished. But I agree the ranked mode needs some work (elo/leaderboards), I also think content creators should take it upon themselves to teach us "bad randoms" meta picks for ranked maps each season, how and who to play in lanes, and what team composition roles are for different modes. The Brawl Stars community is more active than ever, but the casual player base doesn't really have anywhere to look to become better at competitive. No knowledge = Bad randoms. Like this comment if you think SpenLC should start a competitive guides playlist on his second channel.
Hi Spen. I asked myself the same question about the new ranked mode. I am a player from Belgium. Before the ranked games system were modified, there was 0 person ranked Master in Belgium. Since the new system is in place, there is currently 180 Masters and it is growing everyday. This is some proof that ranks have changed a lot. Playing now in Mythic is like playing in gold in the ild system, almost no one has more than 5 brawlers at lvl 11. I suspect we have to wait for the elo system to do its job.
A great addition along with like five tiers in each rank could be a Platinum rank in between Mythic and Diamond. It could solve the issue of NPC's climbing up so fast.
What if there was a setting to disable modifiers? Like think of it as three possibilities for when players queue up with two destinations. Destination 1 is no modifier gameplay and destination 2 is modified gameplay. Path 1 - Modifiers disabled: This is where people go for the obvious, guarantees classic gameplay, will always arrive at destination 1 for matchmaking. This would be the choice to consistently get competitive gameplay. Path 2 - Modifiers enabled: Starts on a different path then Path 1, but has two different ways one can go, and which way u end up going is random, 50/50 chance, left or right. The left part of Path 2 intercepts and joins with Path 1, leading to Desination 1 as well. It will guarantee classic gameplay and allows u to get into matchmaking with people who started on Path 1 who also arrived at Destination 1. The right path stays its own path, Path 2, and guarantees u will be lead to Destination 2 and thus modifiers, and only matchmaking u with others at Destination 2. So get my point? A system like this can make the system fun yet also competitive by making modifiers an option while not making match making super long. Any thoughts?
if u think about the modifiers are not even good for the casual player base cause then u need to upgrade certain brawlers for certain modes, and with how hard it is to max out brawlers it makes it even worse for them.
imo Supercell should ignore casuals in Ranked. I know the majority of players are casuals but Ranked is supposed to competitive, it's not made for little Timmy who knows nothing about the meta. The modifiers are an absolute joke to play like it got stale so fast cause the meta is so stale on all the modifiers. Also the map pool is terrible like why is minecart madness in ranked.

Bruh if there were no modifiers, everybody would pick and ban the same 20 brawlers. Sure, the modifiers aren't really competitive (closest one is timed detonation), but they do what they're supposed to do: make it less stale and more interesting than just seeing the map and gamemode, opening up a cheat sheet, and picking/banning the same brawlers. It also lets off-meta picks get used, as without Big Friend, Frank would never be seen in Ranked. They simply have to add more that nerf you, instead of just straight buffing you. That's why Timed Detonation is the best one, as it buffs long range brawlers and nerfs short-range brawlers. I think they should incorporate mods that solely nerf you and see how it goes in the future. Power League was the stalest thing I've ever seen bro, it was the same brawlers on every gamemode.
Inevitably, though, Little Timmy is as equal as you and he is just another statistic that makes an equal influence on retention rates, purchases, and playtime. I hate that Little Timmy is prioritized more than you or me, but for the most part, Power League prioritized people that were competitively tuned and cared about the meta (aka most of this channel's viewership) which is a very small percentage of players. Nearly everyone play at max 3-4 games a day and just want to have fun and not compete that hard, and if Supercell wants to make Brawl Stars have longevity, these are the players they have to target. At the moment, though, I don't really know the solution to keeping the competitive players around.
Rank prob most def inflated but it isn't solely because of modifiers but also because before most didn't see a reason to do power league cause the rewards weren't it and it was just better to rank up your brawlers or just climbing trophies in general. Now that there's better rewards ppl have more incentive to ACUTALLY TRY to go up in ranked I'm someone who tried PL before the update but quickly dropped it and stopped cause it was IMO just a waste of time. Now more ppl r playing ranked so it'd make sense more players equals more players getting up there in ranks.
This video is good at highlighting many issues, and what i think needs to be done is there needs to be more tiers within those ranks like bronze 4 and 5, also we need a new rank around mythic and legendary since most people in those ranks seem to be absolute npcs, if they do some elo changes on top of this i feel like ranked will be way better than power league.
I have an option apart from respect with the master and legendary, I thought that master was going to be from brawlers with only 11, and then it is from that it With modifiers I think what would be a good idea would be that they would try to remove them with the modifiers in masters and while legendary and mythical they would also remove them, idk If that's a good idea, remove whether people like the modifiers, whether they like them or not. I think there should be a debate about this.
Dude ngl Pl was way more fun than Ranked. The randoms are way worse than back then. At L3 I got two bad (ex Gold players) going 1-7 (both) in knockout with crow and leon in the map-open modifier. Btw the leon had with 16k healing more healing than dmg. I went 15-5 (3 times in a 1 vs 3. Often in a 1 vs 2. Really??? Supercell r u serious???
So my personal ranked review: Its definitely easier as before I could not get out of Gold III, now I am Mythic I. Rewards are better, but i would still like quests, same idea but rewards would be: Easy quest-Epic Starr Drop; Medium quest-Mythic Starr Drop and then for the hard on a Legendary Starr Drop. Or maybe even extra ranked drops! I am not the best player so idk, about the actual difficulty of masters but yeah For the ELO system i think they could improve it: Base=0 Win=+125 Loss=-25-50 For each Major rank above diamond = -(5-10%) For each minor lower rank than yours of your teammates and/or higher of opponents= +5%(max 25-30%) For each minor higher rank than yours of your teammates and/or lower of opponents= -5%(max 25-30%) Idk i just approximate values but yeah i think this should be more fair Also maybe make a way in which you can play with or without modifiers idk. Tho modifiers: Quickfire: Idk Destruction: Piper's time to shine xd(I am piper main soooo) Big Friend: Ban frank Poison thingy: Whose idea was this? 5th one i do not remember. Also they should make a different draft system: Ban phase, 3 turns: each turn 2 players pick a brawler(2 different teams) at the end the enemies know what you have picked! 1 suggestion - sometimes you accidentally start a match (it happens) or you wanna play but then remember you cant bc you have to do sth in a moment - Make it that the 1st time every day you dodge you dont get punished, but next dodge is much more punishing.
Hi Spen, I would like to have your opinion I've seen some people debating on twitter that too many brawlers are being released quickly Nontheless, it is becoming quite impossible for new players to progress all their brawlers, even if you pay for the minimum asset/brawl pass to progress..
Honestly, i like how the modifier are there to make other brawlers shine out more, but at the same time it makes it kind of unbalanced, i like the big friend modifier but quick fire not so much, same with time detonation since it breaks the map pretty fast, imo they should nerf all of the modifiers so that they only make a small change, like big friend only gives 50% of the tankiest brawlers hp to your teammates, quick fire fills your ammo by 10% with each ammo and not projectiles, and for time detonation the map breaks up like each 30 seconds, i kinda like ranked and the change they made so that only power level 9 brawlers can be used, it just needs a bit more stuff that rewards you, like making it actually somewhat worth it to grind to masters, like a hypercharge starrdrop once you hit masters, and thats really it for me.
My opinion as someone enjoys competitiveness in all games I play from R6 to Brawl Stars. I enjoy this RANKED meta alot more viability in BRAWLERS. Before with power leauge I’m always a huge promoter of pick bans but, it dose extend the game length exponentially. Where a lot of times I play 1 or 2 games and like ehh. For example, I am Mythic now and hit Diamond consistently b4 and I am confident before update and now I could semi easily push to to Legendary or Masters atleast but, I didn’t and don’t because “ain’t nobody got time for that” I got a lot of other things to keep up with and just playing Ranked it can drag on. I have lost and lose encouragement to keep grinding. Lastly they have been doing a great job with the game as of late (besides the L&L utter dominance) and I have faith in them at this point to come up with good results.
the problem is, in making it more available to casuals, they made there be no differentiation between said casuals and actual pros, they need to add more ranks between bronze and master or just make progression harder earlier(also fix matchmaking ofc). The modifiers are nice to allow ne picks to be viabl tho, and the elo actually being shown is nice
As much as I dislike the new system, I can't help but feel happy that a lot more people are playing it. Previously, I was a regular legendary 2 player. I couldn't get higher to legendary 3 or masters not because I think I'm bad (which could be true) but because I kept getting really high ping, which made it very hard for me to play any brawler. I got masters with randoms a tiny while now, but it doesnt seem very exciting as I know that it's not jard at all. Also the loss on this in comparison to the win is crazy??? I managed to reach 9700 elo but lost almost 170 when I do lose. Winning sometimes barely gives you a 3rd of what you typically lose. Very frustrating. I'd love if they keep it more fun for the casuals but it's WAY too easy for the middest of mid players to get masters. You don't even have to be mid, you can just be straight up horrendous at the game and still easily reach legendary. One of my friends (21k noob) is at legendary 3 right now because of me. It's is genuinely insane how supercell made the matchmaking. I still regularly get from silver 3 to m1 players as randoms in masters. Most of them as you mentioned just love spike in every map and mode. Terrible skills and terrible draft knowledge. I really hate ranting but I couldn't help it lmao. I just hope they fix this somehow.
Yeah I think they should up the quick-game thing one league, but maybe include the ban phase in that league, so quick matches but with the bans This way you can ban some annoying brawlers + it works as a way to introduce the ban stage for new players.
The rank inflation does feel a little crazy. I was able to hit legendary with pretty much zero resistance outside of a few lost games due to both my randoms picking power 9 brawlers that sucked on the map/modifier along the way…
as someone who did esl monthly qualifiers and got top 32 multiple times and top 16 (Na) once back in 2020 and then stepped away from competitive to focus on school. I didn’t like power league. I loved power play and had a #13 finish. (i understand why power play isn’t a thing anymore it was wayyy to demanding for casual player). I got legendary 1 the first season of power league and never pushed again. main issues were que times (there is no elo to be had in Na), i’d be playing on eu servers and lagging, and after having played competitive and pushed r35s in teams it felt awful to queue and have a random throw away the game because they were terrible. not all that rewarding so I never did it. i got masters in ranked so easily tho. i was in the top 100 Na to get it.
i font really get supercell"s point abou time detonation modifier, like their goal from th beggining was to make this mode morr fun, but time detonation is not, like u always have the same meta and meta counters(depends on the mode sometimes), and all it takes are 2 braincells to understand enemy's dodging patterns, and brawler's range(even though almost every brawler that is playable in this modifier has range of 10 or 9 tiles, so u can just aim straight at the enemy and focus on shooting and enemy's dodging patterns). And the last thing is ur device, like 120 hertz get an enormous advantage, but on the open map it is even bigger. idk how this stuff could be fun, especially for tank mains
I think next season it will get better with the npc because this season the hype was enormous and so for the people who played right after the release they could get high in ranked easily because everyone was the same rank at the same time but they couldn’t drop out of the ranks after they reached them. Next season wenn the hype died down a bit and when the elo system isnt as bugged as in the beggars the inflation will go away as well
Totally agree. I think as the same as you like 99.9% The thing that maybe different is, I think modifier is useful when you want to separate smart player from casual. It's useful to separate someone that knows how to learn a meta from dead brain cell one. It helps me to carry game a lot easier with a bad randoms. And yes, all we need first is 3 or more ranked. Like True Master, Pro Master and Grand Champion ?
I'm L1, still no Dyna skin. But for the rank inflation, yes, a lot more people are Masters now. I think it's a good thing for the game like you said to encourage people to strive for it. But, for the top tier players, there should be another rank. Introducing, Grand Masters, only the top 5-10% of players from each region should be able to get this rank. Make it the one rank you can de-rank from unless you consistently are actually the top 5-10% based on ELO. Let it only show on your profile if you were Grand Masters when the season ends.
For me, it would be nice to have more rank`s in rank, more isolated higher rank`s and reduce bling to minimum if you dont have ranked cosmetics. great video, ranked is really boosting your content. keep the momentum Spen
They should have just put in more maps and modes. Just widen the map pool and put in basket brawl, capture the flag and maybe another mode and it would have felt very fresh. If you really want modifiers, make it so that you have a 90% chance of getting the classic mod, and then 10% for a random mod. It will make it mostly competitive, but also fun and exciting, because, you are most likely going to play a classic competitive game. But there is always a small chance of getting a fun mod that will keep you on your toes.
Still bad in my opinion. I’m legendary 3 atm and I’ve been struggling due to drooling kids. Matchmaking is horrible. I report my teammates everytime even if we win and I get the notification that an action have been made. At least something is working fine
I only ever got Gold 3 in PL but I played it for about a week when it 1st came out and haven't touched it since because to me the rewards weren't worth the effort. Throughout the years I have consistently played at a 750-850 trophy level. (46k total) I've gotten a few brawlers to 900+ but my consistency drops off then. So I rated myself as a Mid Diamond player. When Ranked Came out it took me 3 days to get from Bronze to Diamond 1 because of throwing teammates. Then once I reached Diamond, I lost only 4 games before hitting Mythic, and then in Mythic I lost only 3 games before hitting Legendary. Getting to Legendary also only took 3 days. Which it shouldnt have, it shouldve taken longer and I shouldve lost more games. I also only started enjoying ranked in Diamond because I love Drafting, but it still didn't feel competitive like I expected. Diamond and Mythic were too easy and so many people who have reached those ranks don't deserve it. I spectated a Diamond 2 clubmate's ranked game and he played like Bronze. The inflation is insane. I also realize I myself don't fit in Legendary. I'm not good enough to compete against the (good) players in that rank. But Mythic is too easy. So I'm at a standstill. Maybe if I had more than 8 Power 11 Brawlers/Mained Brawlers actually in the meta I'd be able to compete. But as of right now I can't. I could probably reach Legendary 2, but it wouldn't feel deserved if I did as I would probably become inflated myself. And I wouldn't be able to hit Masters ever which doesn't bother me because I've never been that good in any game. I usually play games at an above average competitive level, but never the top. I do not play at a Legendary level. And even though I believe I could play at a consistent High Diamond-Mid Mythic level, the overall inflation makes me think I'm part of the problem due to my 2021 Gold PL placement. I do know alot of ranks are terribly undeserved. Most members in my club are kids under 15k trophies. And about 10 of them reached between Diamond 2 and Mythic 1. And they definitely don't play above a Gold standard. Overall Ranked is fun but not competitive enough at a level I think it should start becoming competitive. Imo Diamond should feel like an accomplishment not just the "next step". And players in Diamond should start getting hit by a steep learning curve, instead of just being able to draft randomly and still get by with little to no skill or thought.
In terms of skill, L3 to masters is sweaty asf and if you live in North America or South East Asia, its harder b/c of its smaller playerbase compared to EU, but you cannot deny that it's easier than old PL with modifiers; still requires some sort of game knowledge and aiming
Honestly all I ask for is leaderboards representing skill as it was in power league, I was L1 in PL and now i am at 10k elo and i can’t even grind past the top 1k global currently sitting at top 900 and stuck bc of the trophies bug. Also i would have wanted to reach masters in PL and felt like if i grinded harder sooner or later i would have gotten it, now i have no ambitions.

I'm stuck in a time paradox where my randoms keep giving up after losing once and blame me and shoot at me and thumbs me down. *quickly checks their end stats of the game* yup they got 2500 dmg on the enemies and 0 kills. *quickly checks my stats* yup 32000 dmg and 4 kills. it was brawl ball and big friend modifier and they picked crow as a first pick. the other team immediately picked Colette and El primo mythic 1-2 sucks mannnn...
I started getting good at the game in a competitive sense 1 month before power league was dead. I got 1 game off mythic 3 solo. Now i hit masters and i feel like drafting has no point when your tm8 peaks leon in heist no mod or spike in classic. There are 2 examples of thousands. I feel ranked is an improvement but it needs to get more competitive
How to fix Ranked: - Reduce the overall elo (Inflation) - Make deranking possible - Make elo visible in the top leaderboard for Masters players - Consider limiting the top rank to the top 300~ players (like League of Legends), in that case consider adding a rank above Masters named Grand Masters or whatever - Make modifiers more likely to happen in low elo and less likely to happen in top elo - Improve matchmaking for top Masters players (make it longer to find a game but limit it to better players) - Don’t add crazier modifiers, test them out before with good players And then we could talk about some quality of life changes and bug fixes but that’s about it. Rewards have been amazing though and that’s the big reason Ranked have been that popular, now that we see this how bad has been their promotion of Power League before xdd
I personally think the rank skins should be guaranteed for the season and i think they should add a champion rank which only a set amount of people can have at once and they would get a brawler for early access to give a better reward.
I think they should just make legendary alot harder and more of a grind and a lot more strict so that peaple can gett to legendary but alot of the bad players will get stuck there. I think they should make legendary longer so you get master at 10,000 and then increase the cap for a leader board. maybe like you said they could add a thing for like the top 5000 players that have the highest elo.
I was silver in PL not because I couldn't go further, it was just boring and tedious to play PL. I am currently mythic just because I had to grind less and it was more fun to get there, and I also have a job so I can't just spend hours and hours playing B Stars. Even in mythic its easy to keep ranking up. So, don't judge people by what rank they were in PL. I don't believe everybody getting masters is a bad thing. I also used to play Hearthstone where a lot of people could reach legendary rank (highest rank there), but even in legendary you had not so strong players (in the lower legendary rank) and it didn't matter because everybody knew that the strong players were in high Legend Rank 100 and up. What they would need to fix is the matchmaking system and elo system so that you get paired up with stronger players. In HS they have a hidden MMR that helps match you with similar strength players (regardless of public MMR and rank).
For me at this point. I just play rank for the quest. After that I go back to playing ladder. Ever since Rank came. All the bad players are in rank and the semi good players are in ladder. At this point I'm falling off BS. I been on the decline 3 seasons ago (the old brawl pass of 3 month long) and this new brawl pass is basically free of you buy the $9.99. Get bling and gems. And star drops give almost anything so there is no reason to buy anything but the costly brawl pass. So any kid with an allowance that gets $9.99 a month can buy it and level up quick and get all the stuff that was hard to get. And since is easy to get now. I think is time for skins to have perks cause that would make the game more of a challenge cause then you as a player have to think what perk that skin has.
Power league was more competitive because it only attracted the competitive players because there was basically no reward for playing it Ranked has really good rewards and it attracted all of the casual players and that makes it feel like you're just playing ladder
From mythic/legendary you should only be able to pick a power 11 brawler and you need atleast some mastery on that brawler (silver 1 or 3 maybe?) and big friend should only be able to give a max of 50% more hp.
Spen, you might never see this but I think a modifier where you get 2 bans could be interesting. With how many brawler are in the game now, I feel like it would make sense
What Ranked need to be fixed is Extand Ranking By adding another rank(has ranked star drop) before any kind of star drop When you get the first 2 ranked star drop the other two will have certain modifiers to get like( no auto aim or you can't use gadgets) Every time you leave a game your rep will decrease much longer
I was a diamond 1 peak in power league and I can assure you that the lobbies are nowhere NEAR close. I struggled in diamond and I admit that I'm bad but now mythic isn't even a challenge. I second picked mortis in time detonation and went 18-3. I didn't pick mortis because I'm that bad they just went Dyna first pick so ye. I could probably even get legendary with a friend. Ranks are so inflated.

I I have played Power League a few times, so I cannot say whether it is good or bad. However, I am definitely enjoying the ranking system this season. I really like the modifiers and the different brawlers that are banned for each game. It is a refreshing change from playing the same brawler over and over again.

I think they need to change the ranked starr drops, give you a choice between a cosmetic ranked starr drop and progression starr drops. If the starr drops gave power points and coins, then I would play them much more.
I dont think modifyers are competitive because nobody got a unfair advantage and it makes the draft more competitive quickfire is pretty skilles but bigfriend is i think skillfull because you have to overthink how you approach certain brawlers and everyone has high hopes expect the tanks

Something needs to be done about the Mythic rank.
Most people agree it is by far the most infuriating rank to push since it seems once you get there it starts pairing you with completely useless team mates and the matches start to be way too unbalanced were you'll get horrible randoms that shouldn't be out of bronze vs a decently skilled team. You'll tilt 5 or 6 matches on a row more than any other rank.
Maybe add another rank in between, remove the ban phase since no one has any idea what to pick and what to ban and they just go whatever Brawler, etc.
OH SO THATS WHAT IT IS i keep getting actual vegetables in mythic i pushed m3 then went back to m1 cos of the npc 1-20 crows and spikes... it wasnt like that in any other rank

The real problem with mythic is reaching diamond and pushing past it is easy. But the actually skilled players most are in legendary or higher so its just ever bad player along with some good players are in mythic.

It's interesting because the mosifiers allowed characters like Frank, Gale and even Poco to rise in the right circumstances. Although many people say mods are broken, I think it's just a matter of banning properly, so the mods are not the problem but rather the bad randoms banning Hank or nor banning at all. When I was pushing to Masters it was infuriating to see people in Legendary not banning at all and gifting enemies brawlers like Nani on open maps (because I had to ban Leon since he is the best brawler in the current meta). Personally, I think Ranked is better than Power League because of not being able to derank below your section and mods making the matches mixed (except for Leon since he is so OP).

i feel like brawl stars wanted to create a ranked system similar to clash royale's "path of legends". imo, there is a lot of work to be done (especially with elo balancing) but I think once Brawl Stars acknowledges the feedback, ranked will be pretty fun. one of the ideas that I had was that there could be a masters, but there's masters+, where only the top 1,000 or top 5000 people are in this range (similar to radiant in valorant)

I play since Carl came out and dont even have a brawler on rank 28 :( I don't even have a gold III mastery... But I had all the time great memories and relationship with the game:D The glitches, map maker with trophies and older times, I'll never forget them❤️
I feel like although ranked feels “easier to play” ( because ranked is more casual, it feels more convenient play whenever you feel like rather than PL), it definitely is not as competitive. Idk about the other servers, but in Brazil’s servers, bad to mid randoms were at Mythic III at max, now I see ppl with 4k 3v3 in L2

not being able to tilt below your rank is my favorite thing about ranked. before when i first hit mythic i stopped playing because i was too scared to tilt, but now you can just relax and not stress about it anymore
That’s the worst part about this new system. Making it a checkpoint system where you can’t derank is what puts all the trash players into the high ranks with the good players. It’s no longer skill based match making

I‘m currently legendary two and i play ranked as a duo with my friend. But our randoms are sooo bad. They have like 30k trophies and less. We have to report 9 out of 10 randoms we get because they‘re so bad. And this can‘t be. Like how are they so high in ranked. They pick like jacky and edgar on an open bounty map. It‘s just insane. So i stopped playing duos and switched to trios. The enemys are now way better, but we can handle that. Supercell needs to fix, that bad players can climb up the ranks so easily by just getting carried.
a few seasons ago i made it a goal to push at least one rank higher every season and ended up peak M2. i'm currently L3 in ranked and still mad that when i do hit masters in the next couple days it will mean absolutely nothing bc the game mode isn't competitive anymore
I think the one thing I like are the modifiers; they keep the matches more versatile and bring up potential new brawlers to be used. They do need to fix that some brawlers don't work in Quickfire, but other than that, they're pretty refreshing! I think there should be more classic matches, though.

In the power league period of time, all you get is a few blink. That’s why people are not doing it. And now we can get bunch of skin from rank Starr drops, that’s the main reason to get pro player who don’t used to waste time on few blink pops out from no where. That is the true motivation/ reason of increasing number on master
Just some suggestions from me,
At top right of the picking phase, you could just put how much elo u can gain or lose before u start the game
second, make it like codm. So if u are like B1,S1,G1,D1,M1,L1 and masters exactly if u lose, u should have a protection score, if u lose all that protection score u tilt that rank.
My short answer: Ranked seems more fun but less competitive than power league
PL better for skilled players, Ranked is more fun in general for the average player IMO

I’m not saying that dodging should be allowed, but personally the reason I’ve lost my taste for ranked (similar with power league) is I would get brain dead people insta locking some awful picks, which is just beyond infuriating. It’s to the point where I would rather lose some amount of elo and be forced to not be able to play for a while rather than go through that game and feeling super tilted afterwards. I only made it diamond 3, but I just can’t stand to push anymore. I feel as though matchmaking in ranked should put total trophies into play as well, because I don’t understand how I can be matched with 6k trophy players while my teammates are all 40-50k. It just proves how inflated the elo is.
I was hard stuck L2 for the past few seasons, once i got close to L3 i always got hard diffed. I hit masters with ease this season
Honestly, I think what they should do is make it so that when you reach masters, they completely remove modifiers. That way, truly competitive players will basically be unaffected by the competitive mode.
Yeee it's kinda crazy how easy it is to get into masters. I just got it today. I played from 8500 to 9000 in less than 10 minutes. I wasn't even trying to get it I was just doing my ranked quests and I'm masters. It's kinda crazy how that is possible but in power league I was always around mythic 3. I mean I could have grinded to legy 1 in old power league but no way could I reach higher than that without grinding for days or even weeks.

I really like the new ranked. I think you could easily fix some of these issues. Like for the masters bad randoms issue just make it so you can derank from masters and that will immediately make it competitive again. But I like reaching Legendary I and not having to worry about bad randoms deranking me. I think if they introduce small differences between ranks like you said with the % for modifiers since that’s not as competitive, they can fix it. But for me as a casual player who played both, it’s not really close I prefer ranked.
And I’m okay as a casual player not reaching masters, but I don’t want ranked to be pointless because I’m still competitive and I want to win and rank up and power league felt pointless after awhile.
Also, you didn’t mention teams in ranked but I love that it’s been joined together and you can rank up with friends. It’s huge to prevent bad randoms or help club members. And team power league was pointless before.

Its definetly not the most important point to make, but i feel like many players forget bs is like the most hyped mobile game rn, meaning there are lots of players in ranked (esp in comparison to pl before) which is leading to more overall points, so that might be another cause for the big rank inflations (esp considering pl was basically dead for many)
Before the update, I did not play or even tried in power league. I stayed in diamond/mythic because I didn’t care. The new ranked, I actually tried and played a lot to get to legendary. I’ve always knew before I could hit it but there was no incentive

Because legendary is easy. It took me a lot of grinding through sheer hell for mythic 3 in power league. I got legendary in a couple of days, its braindead
you cant make harder punishments for dodging because some people actually disconnect and get suspended for 3 hours just because their wifi cut out so if you make it harsher its really unfair

Spen I think what you're missing is there are more new players now than ever and so many people are starting to play again for the first time in years. I think Brawl Stars is at its best state ever in terms of being polished. But I agree the ranked mode needs some work (elo/leaderboards), I also think content creators should take it upon themselves to teach us "bad randoms" meta picks for ranked maps each season, how and who to play in lanes, and what team composition roles are for different modes. The Brawl Stars community is more active than ever, but the casual player base doesn't really have anywhere to look to become better at competitive. No knowledge = Bad randoms. Like this comment if you think SpenLC should start a competitive guides playlist on his second channel.
Hi Spen. I asked myself the same question about the new ranked mode. I am a player from Belgium. Before the ranked games system were modified, there was 0 person ranked Master in Belgium. Since the new system is in place, there is currently 180 Masters and it is growing everyday. This is some proof that ranks have changed a lot. Playing now in Mythic is like playing in gold in the ild system, almost no one has more than 5 brawlers at lvl 11. I suspect we have to wait for the elo system to do its job.

A great addition along with like five tiers in each rank could be a Platinum rank in between Mythic and Diamond.
It could solve the issue of NPC's climbing up so fast.
What if there was a setting to disable modifiers? Like think of it as three possibilities for when players queue up with two destinations.
Destination 1 is no modifier gameplay and destination 2 is modified gameplay.
Path 1 - Modifiers disabled: This is where people go for the obvious, guarantees classic gameplay, will always arrive at destination 1 for matchmaking.
This would be the choice to consistently get competitive gameplay.
Path 2 - Modifiers enabled: Starts on a different path then Path 1, but has two different ways one can go, and which way u end up going is random, 50/50 chance, left or right. The left part of Path 2 intercepts and joins with Path 1, leading to Desination 1 as well. It will guarantee classic gameplay and allows u to get into matchmaking with people who started on Path 1 who also arrived at Destination 1. The right path stays its own path, Path 2, and guarantees u will be lead to Destination 2 and thus modifiers, and only matchmaking u with others at Destination 2.
So get my point? A system like this can make the system fun yet also competitive by making modifiers an option while not making match making super long. Any thoughts?

if u think about the modifiers are not even good for the casual player base cause then u need to upgrade certain brawlers for certain modes, and with how hard it is to max out brawlers it makes it even worse for them.
imo Supercell should ignore casuals in Ranked. I know the majority of players are casuals but Ranked is supposed to competitive, it's not made for little Timmy who knows nothing about the meta. The modifiers are an absolute joke to play like it got stale so fast cause the meta is so stale on all the modifiers. Also the map pool is terrible like why is minecart madness in ranked.

Bruh if there were no modifiers, everybody would pick and ban the same 20 brawlers. Sure, the modifiers aren't really competitive (closest one is timed detonation), but they do what they're supposed to do: make it less stale and more interesting than just seeing the map and gamemode, opening up a cheat sheet, and picking/banning the same brawlers. It also lets off-meta picks get used, as without Big Friend, Frank would never be seen in Ranked.
They simply have to add more that nerf you, instead of just straight buffing you. That's why Timed Detonation is the best one, as it buffs long range brawlers and nerfs short-range brawlers. I think they should incorporate mods that solely nerf you and see how it goes in the future. Power League was the stalest thing I've ever seen bro, it was the same brawlers on every gamemode.
Inevitably, though, Little Timmy is as equal as you and he is just another statistic that makes an equal influence on retention rates, purchases, and playtime. I hate that Little Timmy is prioritized more than you or me, but for the most part, Power League prioritized people that were competitively tuned and cared about the meta (aka most of this channel's viewership) which is a very small percentage of players. Nearly everyone play at max 3-4 games a day and just want to have fun and not compete that hard, and if Supercell wants to make Brawl Stars have longevity, these are the players they have to target.
At the moment, though, I don't really know the solution to keeping the competitive players around.

Rank prob most def inflated but it isn't solely because of modifiers but also because before most didn't see a reason to do power league cause the rewards weren't it and it was just better to rank up your brawlers or just climbing trophies in general. Now that there's better rewards ppl have more incentive to ACUTALLY TRY to go up in ranked I'm someone who tried PL before the update but quickly dropped it and stopped cause it was IMO just a waste of time. Now more ppl r playing ranked so it'd make sense more players equals more players getting up there in ranks.
This video is good at highlighting many issues, and what i think needs to be done is there needs to be more tiers within those ranks like bronze 4 and 5, also we need a new rank around mythic and legendary since most people in those ranks seem to be absolute npcs, if they do some elo changes on top of this i feel like ranked will be way better than power league.

Dude ngl Pl was way more fun than Ranked. The randoms are way worse than back then. At L3 I got two bad (ex Gold players) going 1-7 (both) in knockout with crow and leon in the map-open modifier. Btw the leon had with 16k healing more healing than dmg. I went 15-5 (3 times in a 1 vs 3. Often in a 1 vs 2. Really??? Supercell r u serious???

Its definitely easier as before I could not get out of Gold III, now I am Mythic I.
Rewards are better, but i would still like quests, same idea but rewards would be: Easy quest-Epic Starr Drop; Medium quest-Mythic Starr Drop and then for the hard on a Legendary Starr Drop. Or maybe even extra ranked drops!

For the ELO system i think they could improve it:
Base=0
Win=+125
Loss=-25-50
For each Major rank above diamond = -(5-10%)
For each minor lower rank than yours of your teammates and/or higher of opponents= +5%(max 25-30%)
For each minor higher rank than yours of your teammates and/or lower of opponents= -5%(max 25-30%)
Idk i just approximate values but yeah i think this should be more fair

Nontheless, it is becoming quite impossible for new players to progress all their brawlers, even if you pay for the minimum asset/brawl pass to progress..
Honestly, i like how the modifier are there to make other brawlers shine out more, but at the same time it makes it kind of unbalanced, i like the big friend modifier but quick fire not so much, same with time detonation since it breaks the map pretty fast, imo they should nerf all of the modifiers so that they only make a small change, like big friend only gives 50% of the tankiest brawlers hp to your teammates, quick fire fills your ammo by 10% with each ammo and not projectiles, and for time detonation the map breaks up like each 30 seconds, i kinda like ranked and the change they made so that only power level 9 brawlers can be used, it just needs a bit more stuff that rewards you, like making it actually somewhat worth it to grind to masters, like a hypercharge starrdrop once you hit masters, and thats really it for me.
My opinion as someone enjoys competitiveness in all games I play from R6 to Brawl Stars. I enjoy this RANKED meta alot more viability in BRAWLERS. Before with power leauge I’m always a huge promoter of pick bans but, it dose extend the game length exponentially. Where a lot of times I play 1 or 2 games and like ehh. For example, I am Mythic now and hit Diamond consistently b4 and I am confident before update and now I could semi easily push to to Legendary or Masters atleast but, I didn’t and don’t because “ain’t nobody got time for that” I got a lot of other things to keep up with and just playing Ranked it can drag on. I have lost and lose encouragement to keep grinding. Lastly they have been doing a great job with the game as of late (besides the L&L utter dominance) and I have faith in them at this point to come up with good results.
the problem is, in making it more available to casuals, they made there be no differentiation between said casuals and actual pros, they need to add more ranks between bronze and master or just make progression harder earlier(also fix matchmaking ofc). The modifiers are nice to allow ne picks to be viabl tho, and the elo actually being shown is nice

As much as I dislike the new system, I can't help but feel happy that a lot more people are playing it. Previously, I was a regular legendary 2 player. I couldn't get higher to legendary 3 or masters not because I think I'm bad (which could be true) but because I kept getting really high ping, which made it very hard for me to play any brawler. I got masters with randoms a tiny while now, but it doesnt seem very exciting as I know that it's not jard at all. Also the loss on this in comparison to the win is crazy??? I managed to reach 9700 elo but lost almost 170 when I do lose. Winning sometimes barely gives you a 3rd of what you typically lose. Very frustrating. I'd love if they keep it more fun for the casuals but it's WAY too easy for the middest of mid players to get masters. You don't even have to be mid, you can just be straight up horrendous at the game and still easily reach legendary. One of my friends (21k noob) is at legendary 3 right now because of me. It's is genuinely insane how supercell made the matchmaking. I still regularly get from silver 3 to m1 players as randoms in masters. Most of them as you mentioned just love spike in every map and mode. Terrible skills and terrible draft knowledge. I really hate ranting but I couldn't help it lmao. I just hope they fix this somehow.
Yeah I think they should up the quick-game thing one league, but maybe include the ban phase in that league, so quick matches but with the bans
This way you can ban some annoying brawlers + it works as a way to introduce the ban stage for new players.
The rank inflation does feel a little crazy. I was able to hit legendary with pretty much zero resistance outside of a few lost games due to both my randoms picking power 9 brawlers that sucked on the map/modifier along the way…
as someone who did esl monthly qualifiers and got top 32 multiple times and top 16 (Na) once back in 2020 and then stepped away from competitive to focus on school. I didn’t like power league. I loved power play and had a #13 finish. (i understand why power play isn’t a thing anymore it was wayyy to demanding for casual player). I got legendary 1 the first season of power league and never pushed again. main issues were que times (there is no elo to be had in Na), i’d be playing on eu servers and lagging, and after having played competitive and pushed r35s in teams it felt awful to queue and have a random throw away the game because they were terrible. not all that rewarding so I never did it. i got masters in ranked so easily tho. i was in the top 100 Na to get it.
i font really get supercell"s point abou time detonation modifier, like their goal from th beggining was to make this mode morr fun, but time detonation is not, like u always have the same meta and meta counters(depends on the mode sometimes), and all it takes are 2 braincells to understand enemy's dodging patterns, and brawler's range(even though almost every brawler that is playable in this modifier has range of 10 or 9 tiles, so u can just aim straight at the enemy and focus on shooting and enemy's dodging patterns). And the last thing is ur device, like 120 hertz get an enormous advantage, but on the open map it is even bigger. idk how this stuff could be fun, especially for tank mains
I think next season it will get better with the npc because this season the hype was enormous and so for the people who played right after the release they could get high in ranked easily because everyone was the same rank at the same time but they couldn’t drop out of the ranks after they reached them. Next season wenn the hype died down a bit and when the elo system isnt as bugged as in the beggars the inflation will go away as well

The thing that maybe different is, I think modifier is useful when you want to separate smart player from casual. It's useful to separate someone that knows how to learn a meta from dead brain cell one. It helps me to carry game a lot easier with a bad randoms.
And yes, all we need first is 3 or more ranked. Like True Master, Pro Master and Grand Champion ?
I'm L1, still no Dyna skin. But for the rank inflation, yes, a lot more people are Masters now. I think it's a good thing for the game like you said to encourage people to strive for it. But, for the top tier players, there should be another rank. Introducing, Grand Masters, only the top 5-10% of players from each region should be able to get this rank. Make it the one rank you can de-rank from unless you consistently are actually the top 5-10% based on ELO. Let it only show on your profile if you were Grand Masters when the season ends.
For me, it would be nice to have more rank`s in rank, more isolated higher rank`s and reduce bling to minimum if you dont have ranked cosmetics. great video, ranked is really boosting your content. keep the momentum Spen
They should have just put in more maps and modes. Just widen the map pool and put in basket brawl, capture the flag and maybe another mode and it would have felt very fresh. If you really want modifiers, make it so that you have a 90% chance of getting the classic mod, and then 10% for a random mod. It will make it mostly competitive, but also fun and exciting, because, you are most likely going to play a classic competitive game. But there is always a small chance of getting a fun mod that will keep you on your toes.
Still bad in my opinion. I’m legendary 3 atm and I’ve been struggling due to drooling kids.
Matchmaking is horrible. I report my teammates everytime even if we win and I get the notification that an action have been made.

I only ever got Gold 3 in PL but I played it for about a week when it 1st came out and haven't touched it since because to me the rewards weren't worth the effort.
Throughout the years I have consistently played at a 750-850 trophy level. (46k total) I've gotten a few brawlers to 900+ but my consistency drops off then. So I rated myself as a Mid Diamond player.
When Ranked Came out it took me 3 days to get from Bronze to Diamond 1 because of throwing teammates. Then once I reached Diamond, I lost only 4 games before hitting Mythic, and then in Mythic I lost only 3 games before hitting Legendary. Getting to Legendary also only took 3 days. Which it shouldnt have, it shouldve taken longer and I shouldve lost more games. I also only started enjoying ranked in Diamond because I love Drafting, but it still didn't feel competitive like I expected.
Diamond and Mythic were too easy and so many people who have reached those ranks don't deserve it. I spectated a Diamond 2 clubmate's ranked game and he played like Bronze. The inflation is insane.
I also realize I myself don't fit in Legendary. I'm not good enough to compete against the (good) players in that rank. But Mythic is too easy. So I'm at a standstill.
Maybe if I had more than 8 Power 11 Brawlers/Mained Brawlers actually in the meta I'd be able to compete. But as of right now I can't. I could probably reach Legendary 2, but it wouldn't feel deserved if I did as I would probably become inflated myself. And I wouldn't be able to hit Masters ever which doesn't bother me because I've never been that good in any game. I usually play games at an above average competitive level, but never the top.
I do not play at a Legendary level. And even though I believe I could play at a consistent High Diamond-Mid Mythic level, the overall inflation makes me think I'm part of the problem due to my 2021 Gold PL placement.
I do know alot of ranks are terribly undeserved. Most members in my club are kids under 15k trophies. And about 10 of them reached between Diamond 2 and Mythic 1. And they definitely don't play above a Gold standard.
Overall Ranked is fun but not competitive enough at a level I think it should start becoming competitive. Imo Diamond should feel like an accomplishment not just the "next step". And players in Diamond should start getting hit by a steep learning curve, instead of just being able to draft randomly and still get by with little to no skill or thought.
In terms of skill, L3 to masters is sweaty asf and if you live in North America or South East Asia, its harder b/c of its smaller playerbase compared to EU, but you cannot deny that it's easier than old PL with modifiers; still requires some sort of game knowledge and aiming

Honestly all I ask for is leaderboards representing skill as it was in power league, I was L1 in PL and now i am at 10k elo and i can’t even grind past the top 1k global currently sitting at top 900 and stuck bc of the trophies bug. Also i would have wanted to reach masters in PL and felt like if i grinded harder sooner or later i would have gotten it, now i have no ambitions.

I started getting good at the game in a competitive sense 1 month before power league was dead. I got 1 game off mythic 3 solo. Now i hit masters and i feel like drafting has no point when your tm8 peaks leon in heist no mod or spike in classic. There are 2 examples of thousands.
I feel ranked is an improvement but it needs to get more competitive
How to fix Ranked:
- Reduce the overall elo (Inflation)
- Make deranking possible
- Make elo visible in the top leaderboard for Masters players
- Consider limiting the top rank to the top 300~ players (like League of Legends), in that case consider adding a rank above Masters named Grand Masters or whatever
- Make modifiers more likely to happen in low elo and less likely to happen in top elo
- Improve matchmaking for top Masters players (make it longer to find a game but limit it to better players)
- Don’t add crazier modifiers, test them out before with good players
And then we could talk about some quality of life changes and bug fixes but that’s about it. Rewards have been amazing though and that’s the big reason Ranked have been that popular, now that we see this how bad has been their promotion of Power League before xdd
I personally think the rank skins should be guaranteed for the season
and i think they should add a champion rank which only a set amount of people can have at once and they would get a brawler for early access to give a better reward.
The worst part is, the bad randoms always get the cool skins

I think they should just make legendary alot harder and more of a grind and a lot more strict so that peaple can gett to legendary but alot of the bad players will get stuck there. I think they should make legendary longer so you get master at 10,000 and then increase the cap for a leader board. maybe like you said they could add a thing for like the top 5000 players that have the highest elo.
I was silver in PL not because I couldn't go further, it was just boring and tedious to play PL. I am currently mythic just because I had to grind less and it was more fun to get there, and I also have a job so I can't just spend hours and hours playing B Stars. Even in mythic its easy to keep ranking up. So, don't judge people by what rank they were in PL.
I don't believe everybody getting masters is a bad thing. I also used to play Hearthstone where a lot of people could reach legendary rank (highest rank there), but even in legendary you had not so strong players (in the lower legendary rank) and it didn't matter because everybody knew that the strong players were in high Legend Rank 100 and up. What they would need to fix is the matchmaking system and elo system so that you get paired up with stronger players. In HS they have a hidden MMR that helps match you with similar strength players (regardless of public MMR and rank).
For me at this point. I just play rank for the quest. After that I go back to playing ladder.
Ever since Rank came. All the bad players are in rank and the semi good players are in ladder.
At this point I'm falling off BS. I been on the decline 3 seasons ago (the old brawl pass of 3 month long) and this new brawl pass is basically free of you buy the $9.99. Get bling and gems. And star drops give almost anything so there is no reason to buy anything but the costly brawl pass.
So any kid with an allowance that gets $9.99 a month can buy it and level up quick and get all the stuff that was hard to get.
And since is easy to get now. I think is time for skins to have perks cause that would make the game more of a challenge cause then you as a player have to think what perk that skin has.
Power league was more competitive because it only attracted the competitive players because there was basically no reward for playing it
Ranked has really good rewards and it attracted all of the casual players and that makes it feel like you're just playing ladder
From mythic/legendary you should only be able to pick a power 11 brawler and you need atleast some mastery on that brawler (silver 1 or 3 maybe?) and big friend should only be able to give a max of 50% more hp.

What Ranked need to be fixed is
Extand Ranking By adding another rank(has ranked star drop) before any kind of star drop
When you get the first 2 ranked star drop the other two will have certain modifiers to get like( no auto aim or you can't use gadgets)
Every time you leave a game your rep will decrease much longer
I was a diamond 1 peak in power league and I can assure you that the lobbies are nowhere NEAR close. I struggled in diamond and I admit that I'm bad but now mythic isn't even a challenge. I second picked mortis in time detonation and went 18-3. I didn't pick mortis because I'm that bad they just went Dyna first pick so ye. I could probably even get legendary with a friend. Ranks are so inflated.
they should make ranked harder, but make the ranked star drops better

I I have played Power League a few times, so I cannot say whether it is good or bad. However, I am definitely enjoying the ranking system this season. I really like the modifiers and the different brawlers that are banned for each game. It is a refreshing change from playing the same brawler over and over again.

9:22 i havent played in 2 years and only a couple months back came back to the game,just because i didnt grind it on my mini doesnt mean im bad,i felt like power league was way too hard in 2021 so i didnt play it that much even on my main

I think they need to change the ranked starr drops, give you a choice between a cosmetic ranked starr drop and progression starr drops. If the starr drops gave power points and coins, then I would play them much more.
I dont think modifyers are competitive because nobody got a unfair advantage and it makes the draft more competitive quickfire is pretty skilles but bigfriend is i think skillfull because you have to overthink how you approach certain brawlers and everyone has high hopes expect the tanks
I agree so much like its so annoying that I am legendary 2 and I haven’t gotten anything else then sprays and 100 bling but my silver and gold friends who almost never play brawl stars have it
