There is a new Crystal Tear in the dlc called Deflecting Hardtear, you get it from killing the first Furnace Golem (you'll see it when you enter the dlc). If you play Sekiro before, it work exactly like that. If not then, basically you block right before an attack hit you, it increase your guard counter damage, you can stack the deflect up to 4 times to increase the dmg further

How did you take no damage while guarding with the weapon? is it a new DLC thing? I have not played it yet.
