Long time coming, but here's the Wii version of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. This one isn't played with the bongos, but the Wiimote and Nunchuck. There's a few changes made to the original version, namely the crests. This version doesn't feature silver, gold, or platinum crests. It features just crests. Depending on how many bananas you get, you get one to three crests. The platinum crests in the 2003 version require 1200+ bananas whereas in this version you get all three crests at just 1000 bananas. Easier? I think so, but I need to replay the 2003 version to confirm that. Anyway, I really enjoyed the stage design in this game. Each stage was wildly unique and fun to play through. For this video, all crests were obtained in all of the worlds. I have to re-do the GameCube version sometime soon for an all-platinum recording too.
@@longplayarchive I appreciate you playing this! It's still my favorite DK game to this day! I would love to see it get a revival on Switch or a future console!
I do remember when I bought this game on the Wii since the classic 2004 GameCube game came out in 2009, I did completed it but the last level with the same 6 Bosses was very difficult to do while taking damage and losing bananas as health points when trying to win big points for extra bananas for over a thousand and receiving the final crest falling from the sky.
Oh wait. Scratch that. I played this on the Gamecube and it had bongos. Here though, motion controls. Trying to get the platinum medals are a pain in the ass.
This version of the game is fine, but you really need to play it with the bongos. The motion controls are good, but they're just not the same as the bongos.

Did great! Only lost 100 points with sumo Kong! Very impressive!
I think… Every time after the level when you collect bananas… it would be better if it was faster!
Perfect
I remember this!
A part of me hopes they make a donkey kong movie with at least some of these characters

Yeah the platinum crest require 1200+ bananas iirc, whereas the third and final crest is obtained at 1000 bananas in the Wii version
@@longplayarchive figure they made it easier
