Since the Lord Jesus Christ will someday bring judgment on all who reject His love and forgiveness, we are to balance God's message of hope with His message of retribution.

Since the Lord Jesus Christ will someday bring judgment on all who reject His love and forgiveness, we are to balance God’s message of hope with His message of retribution. We must make sure that when people hear the message of eternal life they also understand the message of eternal separation from Christ. While we share a God of love we must also remember to share the God of judgment. We must clearly explain the consequences of sin, which is eternal separation from God, but also share that we can be forgiven every time we sincerely repent for our sins. As we share salvation we must also share the Word so new believers can understand that our choices have consequences and that Jesus has redeemed us and provided a way out for us. While God loves us, and wishes that none will perish, He will judge us.
It’s so important that we share a balanced Gospel and encourage the person to get in a good Bible teaching church and submit to the discipleship process. We must let them know that this walk was never meant to be taken alone.
The key is to emphasize intimate relationship with the Lord through time in His Presence and in His Word. The more time we spend with Him, the more we will look like Him and act like Him. We must stress the importance of renewing our minds daily because walking in the fullness of what Jesus did for us requires us to consciously keep our minds stayed on Him.
    Be Encouraged!

Since the Lord Jesus Christ will someday bring judgment on all who reject His love and forgiveness, we are to balance God’s message of hope with His message of retribution. If people hear the message of eternal life but fail to understand the message of eternal separation from Christ, it removes the consequence from the gospel message, and that can cause the hearer to think that it’s ‘no big deal.’
When I shared the gospel with my oldest child, who was 3 at the time but very smart, asking her if she was ready to ask Jesus into her heart, she asked one question, “If I don’t ask Jesus into my heart, will I go to Heaven when I die?” I answered, “No,” and she responded with, “I’m ready.” Her salvation experience, even at such a young age, was real, even though she made a more mature commitment years later.
We do a grave disservice if we only talk of the love of God and not include the justice of God. Along with the good news that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, we need to make sure we tell what fate awaits if His gift is rejected.
Thanks for the teaching, Dr. G.

Your John 3:16-18 is not the word of God. He gave his one and only Son? That’s not true. We are all sons of God who believe on the Lord Jesus. If someone is a baby in Christ and reads that they will be confused.
I don’t trust any pastors discernment that doesn’t use the KJV

As you say not one of us measures up to the eternal glory of God but let me add this our best is nothing but filth and rags to the Lord and nothing any man can do on earth can make him righteous every one has fallen short of the glory of God it is only God that can make a man righteous not by the man's ways but by Gods choice to make one righteous for his Glory only....
