Interestingly enough, many claim that Michael Jordan himself wore mids on court. Additionally, until around 2013-2015, what was considered a “high” is actually what is now considered a “mid”. Meaning Air Jordan 1 highs were actually released in more of a mid cut until Nike decided to “bring back the OG shape”.

I own Highs Mids and Lows. I actually own that shoe. Quality may not be the best on them but on foot and styled right these shoes get tons of compliments. I own about 5 pairs of mids and those are the ones I wear the most. My highs I really bring out for special occasions. I get what you are saying regarding the quality but that's also why it's a less expensive shoe. I can wear them daily and not be to worried about beating them up.

I don't understand the hate seriously, but I get his reaction on his passion for sneaker culture. And even he will say this at one point, BUY AND WEAR WHATEVER "YOU" WANT...it's your money its your own style so...own it.

I will disagree with you 100%. AJ1 Mids have much better quality than a dunk. I own plenty of mids yes some are ok, but some will surprise you. My favorite are the Zen master and the Armory Navy mids

I had chatted with customer service and I asked for a supervisor. never got one, two days later Nike said "I" cancelled. I'm like wtf??!? Finally got a supervisor and she was like yeah that was wrong and the employee shouldn't have done it. Well I got two 20% off coupons as a compilation. Ok. Here comes just two weeks ago, holy ish Snipes got one size 12 left....that was God like you wanted these; I got you. I review mids on my cannel all the time. it's just hype how some of these so called sneaker reviewers work these days.
My biggest problem with mids is the quality and materials used!! I get try to hit a lower price point to be more affordable but damn they can do better!! Size 13
i bought mid obsidian recently, quality is quite good i would say, they were getting sold 400-500 usd 2-3 years back if i am not mistaken
Idk man I have some mids from 10 years ago and they still pair up well. The only issue is some of the paint wore off by my ankles. Besides that I enjoy them!
Even though this coloway might be a miss, a lot of really cool pairs have come from Nike being more creative with certain pairs like this, so I can't be too mad about it. Size 12
How about we stop pretending that Jordan 1 highs are great quality. They are much lower quality than you can get for 1/2 the price.

I have a dozen pairs because I like them and they go with my wardrobe. They are a fun hobby.
Never once has someone purchased a nike product solely based on the quality of materials.
Lows and mids will break in and feel just fine after multiple wears.
Highs are a little softer but still a nicer but thin cut of mid grade leather with inconsistent craftsmanship.
Rock what you like and be honest about what you’re paying for b/c we all know these are only priced based on hype

The shoe you were hating on (The 2022 Air Jordan 1 mid) is my favorite shoe. I have a pair myself and the quality is just fine. I also love the colorway. I highly recommend this shoe. If you don't like this shoe just don't buy it and hate on it 😑
Exactly, yesterday I bought my first pair of Jordan 1’s and it’s these exact shoes and i don’t see why people need to be hating on them, they are great shoes in my opinion and the color way I’m them is great I love it, I don’t get why they put so much hate on these shoes when they are actually great!

I don’t mind this colorway. Haha. Not a red guy but I think the tongue does look pretty cool. The way some people feel about 1 mids is the way I feel about 1 lows. I don’t think 1 lows are the worst thing in the world but I would just never have any reason to ever buy them. Do agree that the quality on the mids is generally below the highs for sure. I like mids in both J1 and AF1 but again, I go for the AF1 mid every time because the 1 mid quality is not up to par. Size 11 for the giveaway 😎
I like like jordan 1 mids and you do have a point. The quality should better, but that is why if you can go to store and feel what they are like then why not. You can make a decision that way, there are some slept on colour ways that some do have good materials. But in the end it comes down to quality of sneaker. Lost and found 1s US 11/10.5

I like this color. The only problem I have is that the tongue is red. If it was white instead. 100% better. I actually have this mid and I put the white laces. Looks better and hides the roughness of the red tongue. Thing is the best one for mid in this color is the gym red mid. That one has the white tongue. I got that one before I knew I could have gone to GOAT or eBay to get the gym red mid instead.

I agree with you. Learned this lesson with the bred mids. Leather quality isn't very good, it's the same synthetic leather as the jordan 1 lows. Creases really easily. Thanks for the content, size 9.5 for the L&F giveaway 🙏👀
Jordan 1s, in any cut, with any leather, look better with creases.
Even highs have cheap synthetic leather. It's all the same. Don't fool yourself.

Me, I personally have 3 Mids and I love them. I personally can’t get with the lows. If I could afford the highs, I would love to get the highs. But I won’t tell them to stop the lows, even though it’s not in my liking.

I always buy 3 pairs, 1 to wear now, one to wear again later on in life and another for resales. Everyone says a pair is trash, I buy and wear them and then I am getting people who are showing huge interest in them and then people online are looking into them. People like what they like

Mids are good you crazy. The lows are the ones that suck. Mids were what got me into Jordan’s in the first place so they’ll always a special place to me. I’ve tried a couple lows & I just can’t do them. Don’t like the way they look or anything. Mids & highs I’ll rock all day.

I own mids and yes i admit the quality is not as good as on highs but they are really affordable. I got the Obsidians for 100 USD. Great shoes ! Definetely reccomend

I think they do this to mess up the resale on purpose, there way of making those color-ways obtainable by the entire customer base, like obviously the quality of the materials is worse but if they did og color blockings you know these would still fly off the shelves. Seems smart to me, let everyone get a taste, it’s the only way…. Sadly
Space jam mids are the best mids besides the Chicagos they such a dope and clean plus simple color way and fit almost anything and perfect for a quick go to school shoe nothing wrong wit them in my opinion
The reason for mids is for the people who can't pay ridiculous resale price for highs. So it's basically a cheaper and affordable version. I remembered I could afford the highs I wanted, so I actually like them. They been dropping clean colorways.

Ive noticed a trend with my fellow sneaker tweakers in the community. Seems like those bros that females dont pay much attention to really hate on mids and hate on people who wear them. They hate on alot of stuff, There is definitely a type. Theres a need to be bigger, better and elite to compensate. I'll rock mids, highs and lows. I'll make any of them look good with the right fit hanging off me. Ive got a couple dozen AJ1's and Ive never bought a single pair due to the leathers quality. Cracks me up when people go in on the quality of the leather. Almost all NIKE leather is lower tier. We arent buying work boots, these are mass produced in a factory on the other side of the globe for pennies on the dollar. Just rock what you like y'all, these aren't trash. - If you have em and like em, show up in em proud.

It’s not even a bad shoe, Mids are a great show and in my opinion that’s a great color way and many people have actually asked for it, people just hate on them for nothing I get they don’t have the same quality as highs but they’re just shoes, let people wear what they want.
