I had seen this video before but It is soooooo helpful because I didn't really have the time to practice it (that's what I had told myself). But decided to finally try it now, and to anyone who's reading this, if you really want to improve your Rs, this is the perfect video. This video is REALLY worth investing your time. With just these 11 minutes of practice I can ALREADY feel it's noticeably easier to pronounce the R sounds especially saying "further back" and I have R sound class and need to practice really bad and this is the perfect. thank you really thank you.
Speaking English only for 99% of my last 20 years, I've finally come to realise how R sound is produced by rolling the tongue not touched any where in the mouth. Thank you!
I was during able 10 days to pronounce the letter “R’’ by placing the pen under the tongue and pronouncing Ar and Ra alternately for a quarter of an hour, then pronouncing the word Da Da Da Drrr for 5 minutes. The exercise was repeated 5 times during the day.
you understand perfectly what you teach. it is all about how to place your tongue, how to position your jaw stuff like that. I was looking just for such a video and here it is. Thank you. If you could go just a little bit slower so I can see how you shape of your mouth and listen to you say how you position your tongue . The speed at which you are going by the time I get mouth set to make one sound and copy it you are already way ahead on another sound. I will watch you several times, maybe then I can keep up.
Mira que he visto videos tuyos.... pero este tiene una alegria que contagia. felicitaciones y muchas gracias por todo lo que he aprendido y lo que estoy aprendiendo con to canal... Bendiciones!!!! work out !!!!
Hello, a question, how much does your course cost to improve my way of speaking in English, clearly and effectively? And when does it start? Thanks in advance for all the resources, advice and exercises that you give us, you are extremely incredible 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤗🤗🤗
Hello from Colombia! You can make a video explaining the pronunciation of SH-CH in American English would be very good of you. a hug and thanks for your videos.
Hi, how are you I hope you are safe and healthy ❤️☺️please please answer my question about flap t it makes me too confused because I don't know when I watched your video about it I noticed that flap t is like r in arabic exactly, but when I watch any video about it on TH-cam it is not the same and all teachers say that it is like an d so what in your video is like an arabic letter R on the other hand others not and some words you pronounce them exactly like r other words you pronounce them like d

Thank you so much, Hadar!
@@minecat3707 the next day in casual conversation I said "further back" and it just came out right. While I practiced the video for 10 minutes, I also tried to make the sound without tensing my tongue too much (which I believe was the issue for me, since I was tensing my tongue quite harshly). I just tried practicing the sound in a way that felt more natural rather than forced.
@@cjhalloway179 I no longer have any problems pronouncing any R sounds. But I didn't stick to this video only. I did both shadowing exercises to get the R vowels/consonant to the right place, and I also used this video to help me memorize the sounds for once. This kind of exercise actually works pretty well with other vowels too (and consonants, I think, but I never tried that so I can't know for sure). I find that if you exercise the vowel sounds using consonant/consonant cluster + vowel, it's much more effective than trying to memorize a vowel by only repeating words with that specific vowel.

Thank you. Very useful. I am doing reasonably OK with a single R as in the exercises. But any tips for pronouncing a word like *thunderer* for instance? The second R comes out very hollow and weak. -erer is difficult.

The most difficult sounds with “r” are when a consonant is followed by the r, for example;
Third
Prime
Therapist
Priority
world and word are the hardest for md
You have a diphthong vowel (wɜr) before the r: “ wɜrld wɜrd “
It’s more difficult when there is not vowel before the r
Very nice
